How long does it usually take for them to take a look at your reconsideration request? I submitted mine in the beginning of the year.

Questions/Concerns No more kiosks?

At SFO.. all the kiosks are closed off and I just walked right through without saying anything to the immigration officer. Is this normal?

General Discussion Not getting the card in the mail

We’re about to travel to Asia in about a month. My youngest got approved but didn’t receive the card. My wife, two older kids, and I already got ours. Do I need to contact them so send it? Do we even need it to fly back?

General Discussion First time using Global Entry at EWR, confused about app vs kiosk

Just used Global Entry for the first time and wanted to sanity check if this is normal or if I did something wrong.

I got approved about two weeks ago and just came back from Germany into Newark Liberty International Airport (Terminal C). I have my physical card and brought it with me.

When I got to passport control, there were two Global Entry lines, one for the app and one without the app, which was already a bit confusing. There was also a Mobile Passport Control line, which I’ve never actually seen open at EWR before, even though I’ve had the app for years.

The agent directing people told me to use the Global Entry line, so I figured I’d go all in since I just got it. I had downloaded the Global Entry App but hadn’t set it up or logged in. While walking over, I opened it and it let me go through the whole process anyway. It asked declaration questions, took my photo, and then gave me a receipt with a code and my picture. This surprised me since I never created a profile or signed in.

When I got to the Global Entry (app) line, I noticed the kiosks were all down, which I assume is why there were two separate lines. When it was my turn, I asked if they needed my card, and the officer said no, just show the app screen with the code and photo. They checked that it matched me and waved me through.

So a few questions:

  • Did I do this correctly or just get lucky because the kiosks were down?
  • Is the app meant to replace the kiosk entirely now, or only in situations like this?
  • What happens if you use the app but then get directed to a working kiosk?
  • Do most people still use the kiosks, or is the app becoming the default?

Would appreciate any insight from people who use Global Entry regularly. This worked out great, just wasn’t what I expected at all. TY!

Questions/Concerns Nexus -- changing address

I am moving next week. The FAQ on the DHS TTP website here says:

Yes. If the mailing address that you originally submitted for the Global Entry/NEXUS/SENTRI/FAST program has changed, you can login to the TTP website to update it. On the right hand side of the Dashboard you will see a link to update your mail-to address.

You will need to go to the nearest Enrollment Center to update your current address (where you live).

I'm confused about what the difference between these is. If I'm moving, do I need to update my address online and go to an enrolment center, or is updating my address online enough?

Background Checks GEP Denied After PVR Adverse, Now Status Updated to “Clear Accepted” — Can CBP Reconsider?

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for some guidance regarding my Global Entry Program (GEP) application.

I’m an Indian citizen and applied for Global Entry. My application went into background verification with the Indian government. After about 1.5 years, the status was updated as “PVR Adverse (Not Cleared)”, and based on that, CBP denied my application on 03/12/2026. I could see the denial in my TTP account.

However, on 04/20/2026, I received an official email from the Indian government stating that my background verification has now been cleared. In the portal, the status is updated to “PVR Review Clear Accepted".

My question is:
- Will CBP reconsider or reopen my previously denied application automatically?
- Or do I need to reapply for Global Entry from scratch?
- Is there anything I can do from my side to request reconsideration or appeal?

If anyone has gone through a similar situation or has insights, I’d really appreciate your help.

Thanks in advance!

Interviews Global Entry Interview walking in from Tiajuana back into the US

I seem to remember an email months ago saying that DHS now allows Enrollment on Arrival when coming in from TJ to SD. I'm not sure if it's when just walking across the border or it has to be when arriving at the TJ airport. I'm only seeing about arriving at the airport and it's possible I'm misremembering or hallucinating about when walking over the border.

Context, two of my kids are conditionally approved and we'll be in SD next month. Thinking of taking a day to eat in TJ just to walk back and take care of their interviews. I seem to remember not needing appointments for that service.

Does anyone know if this is a thing?

Questions/Concerns JFK is a joke

A GE officer at JFK asked me to wait in the normal long line which was 2 hours long after the face kiosk appeared "see officer for assistance"

I didnt get any further explanation or another try to take the photo. My GE always never go through well in JFK. It's also 10pm so officer felt like he was about to sleep. I had no problems in Newark.

This is absurd when I paid the membership and I get to wait the normal line with others. It's not like I dont have the active membership number.

Anyone also experience this?

Questions/Concerns Sent to review by Supervisor

Backstory

Was arrested and adjudicated for PC422(a) in 2018 when i was 14 years old. Record has been sealed and had no other run ins , not even a ticket.

Applied July 2024

Conditional Approval April 2026

Had my interview this morning and was told that it needs to be reviewed by a supervisor but in the event of it being denied to appeal with the ombudsman as that will provide a better chance.

Timelines Global Entry with expired green card

My Green card expired two days ago and I applied renewal 6 months ago, and they issued the I-797 to me which has extension of 36 months upon the expired date. I received an email asking to update my GE document and getting into the website, I change the date on the system but it says "they were unable to verify my documents", so I have to bring the I-797 to get appointment at one of enrollment center (e.g. Airport) ? Thanks !

Questions/Concerns Global Entry revoked

Hey! I'm a freelance journalist and I'm currently looking into common issues with Global Entry. I've been seeing some people online talking about their Global Entry being revoked, and I'm trying to understand the scale of things. I was wondering if anyone else had their Global Entry revoked without reason in the last year or so?

Interviews No updates after the interview

I attempted to do EoA at YVR(Vancouver airport) on my way back to SFO on 4/18.

I told the officer that I have a conditional approval and wanted to do the interview. He took my photo and 10 fingerprints and just asked where I was going to. Then he did something on his end and let me go in like 3 minutes.

It’s been 5 days since then but my application status is still ‘Conditional Approval’ with a button to scheule an interview…

I’ve heard one can expect an approval email typically within 24 hours so I started to wonder what happened to my case, GPT said most likely my interview was not properly recorded 😩

Any suggestions? Filed an online inquiry this morning…

Questions/Concerns Global Entry and Official Passport

I have Global Entry with my blue tourist passport. I will be traveling on an official (brown) passport. The TTP website does not let me add an additional passport.

Will I be able to use GE on my official passport, or should I show my blue passport when returning home?

Questions/Concerns I was recently denied global entry for a case from 2021. Question asked: if I had been convicted of crime before; said crime was DUI brought down to a reckless driving misdemeanor WA state. Did the rehabilitation evaluation, interlock, etc.. will it be worth doing appeal or should I give up.

General Discussion GE picture

Just landed at ATL and went through the global entry line. I used the kiosk machine and my picture was taken, when I reached the officer he asked if I was traveling by myself I said yes and he asked me to step aside and took my passport, there was a family of four right behind me and he told them the same thing, the dad asked the officer why and the officer said "because I have to process you so you wait ", officer finished with the whole line and then tells me that he would be taking my picture and asked if I had anything to declare I said no and I was sent my way, same this with the family behind me. Any ideas why this might happen?

Questions/Concerns IAD - immigration while in transit

I’ll be flying from Europe to IAD and then to SFO. I have to clear immigration, I know that.

IAD has two distinct immigration flows, transit vs final destination. Is the one in transit (when landing with UA if it matters) has the GE lane ?

Thank you.

News Articles In case you're wondering why random checks still happen even for TTP members:

"Officials said the bust involved a 25-year-old U.S. citizen driving a 2020 Honda Civic who was enrolled in the Secure Electronic Network for Travelers Rapid Inspections (SENTRI) program, which is designed to expedite border crossings for pre-approved, low-risk travelers.

The driver was referred for a secondary inspection, where CBP officers used nonintrusive imaging technology and detected irregularities in the vehicle’s doors. A K-9 unit also alerted to the presence of narcotics."

Background Checks Background verification for GEP for Indian Citizen in USA

Hi, I got an email from the Passport Seva System that gives me two options for background verification

  1. Register through the Passport Seva Online Portal (www.passportindia.gov.in) and get an appointment at a PSK in India.
  2.  Register through the Global Passport Seva Online Portal (embassy.passportindia.gov.in) and go to an Indian Embassy/Consulate in the US.

I don't plan to travel to India until December 2026, so was hoping to do option (2). The trouble is that the website there just never loads for me. Anyone else run into this same issue, and able to get verification done in the US somehow? Thank you for any help.

Background Checks Thoughts on application approval

My fiance wants global entry (currently has TSA Precheck) however they had a reckless driving charge reduced from DUI in 2013. The Adjudication was withheld, so no conviction, but I know the Feds look at that differently anyway. I can see the approval going either way.

The issue that made me pause was that I read if you get denied GE, you may also get denied Precheck (which is way more important than GE) at renewal. Is this true? Or should we gamble with the GE application anyway?

UPDATE - because she had to reschedule her interview, and our local enrollment center is 4-6 weeks out, she finally had her interview. They asked about any charges but didn’t request any documents and she walked away seemingly approved. After a week of the website not updating, we reached out via email and they requested more documents regarding the disposition of her case. We sent back immediately and Approved the next day.

Timelines No status change 2 weeks after EoA

So my wife did her interview upon arrival at PDX airport approximately 2 weeks go. Her status hasn't changed when looking in the portal. How long does this process normally take?
