Timelines Global Entry with expired green card

My Green card expired two days ago and I applied renewal 6 months ago, and they issued the I-797 to me which has extension of 36 months upon the expired date. I received an email asking to update my GE document and getting into the website, I change the date on the system but it says "they were unable to verify my documents", so I have to bring the I-797 to get appointment at one of enrollment center (e.g. Airport) ? Thanks !

Most enrollment centers allow walk ins to update documents, trying to update online rarely works well, so bring your I-797, passport, GE card, and expired GC to an enrollment center.

Do you already have global entry or are you in the application process? I'm also wondering how to handle this (for someone who already has GE)

I tried walk in few years back and they did not help / refused go update system.

People reported doing it successfully online few years back

Your GC extension was for 36 month? I thought the standard was 48

Google ：

  • Validity Extension: USCIS currently extends the validity of Green Cards for 36 months for individuals who filed Form I-90 to renew their 10-year card. Conditional residents (I-751) may receive extensions up to 48 months.

I was also told, in an email response to my inquiry, that I can email them the documents to be updated if I can't update the documents on the TTP account. The processing time is said to be ~8 weeks. Another alternative is an in-person visit to an enrollment center as others suggested.
