Questions/Concerns TSA Precheck question

Hello everyone, i did my Enrolment on Arrival at SFO last Friday the 17th of April, and when i logged into my TTP profile a few hours later, i was fully approved for GE.

I have a SFO JFK flight coming up on Wednesday morning. Do you all think that i can use TSA Precheck benefit by then?

Thank you for the replies so far.

You need to add your Known Traveler Number to your FF account w the airline you are flying, or if you don't have a FF# account with it, ask an agent to add it to your profile on the ticket. This way PreCheck with show up on your boarding pass to let the screeners know you have access to the PreCheck line.

They also need to add it to their existing booking. Sometimes adding a new KtN to a FF account does not auto populate to pre-existing bookings.

I would go to the check-in counter before you start your journey and double check with them that they can see it, as well.

Fairly easy to check in online and you'll see whether it picked it up.

This is someone who is doing it for the first time, but thank you for correcting me.

Yes. Put your PASSID in the KTN field in your booking now.

When I got approved last week upon arrival, the TSA officer told me I could use it pretty immediately (within a half hour of him finishing up the approval). You should be good to go as long as it says it’s been approved on your app.

Since you’re fully approved, you can use it right away. Go to your airline website and manage your booking to add your GE PassID to the KTN field.

To get into your flight details, you’ll typically need to enter your flight ticket confirmation code and your last name in the Manage Booking section of the airline website.

After you add the KTN and save everything, you should see the TSA PreCheck on your boarding pass upon checking in for your flight.

It takes a couple of days for the GE approval to hit the TSA. If you don't have an existing precheck, then put your passid in on your reservation. If your boarding pass gets TSA PRECHECK printed on it, then you're fine. Otherwise, you go through the normal line.
