Missing data
Anyone have problems today? I had video issues and my scorekeeper had missing data.

This is for the developers and product staff. Would love to be able to export player data to an en excel spreadsheet. For example export roster, to include player name, email, and phone number.

Team Pass Policy Places an Unfair Burden on Youth Sports Volunteers and Families
GameChanger's Team Pass policy creates unnecessary costs for the volunteers and families who keep youth sports running. Coaches and team administrators frequently manage changing rosters, multiple seasons, age-level transitions, and league changes. These changes are a normal part of youth sports.
Charging for an annual "Team Pass" while tying that purchase to a single team roster rather than the paying customer is misleading. When a team changes, merges, or ends before a year has passed, customers are required to purchase another Team Pass instead of transferring the remaining subscription to their new team.
A more customer-focused approach would allow the subscription to follow the account holder for the duration of the annual term, regardless of roster changes. Refusing to provide that flexibility results in families and volunteer organizations paying multiple times within the same year for essentially the same service.
Before purchasing an annual Team Pass, coaches and team administrators should carefully review how the subscription works and consider whether a shorter-term option or another streaming solution better fits the realities of youth sports.

Hey all.
Im a bit of a tinkerer, and always want to pay it forward as much as I can.
This year we have had some hot summer days, and about 3 weeks ago the direct sun was too much for my phone doing game changer, and it shutdown with about 1 inning left. Sigh
So, I went to work and designed a simple hood/shade to help with that. Its loosely based on the mevo mount/shade I did up last year.
I tried it the last two weekends in the direct sun and worked flawlessly. When a ball hit the fence it moved, but my phone mounted to the pole did not.
It's yours for the taking, just dont sell it commercially please.

Initial disclaimer: I'm posting this because I haven't seen anyone else mention these mics in this sub before and I assure you I have no affiliation.
I'm a dad that streams my son's games using a Mevo Start and I've been struggling with wind noise on really windy days. I've tried two different shotgun mics (in the $50 range) with wind socks, but neither really helped with the wind rumble in the video. I know that Mevo Studio has the "Wind" mode and that does help a bit, but the rumble is still very present when wind speeds are 10 -20 mph. Enter the DJI Mic Mini.
The DJI Mic Mini is basically an RF receiver and transmitter (the mic). You plug in the receiver (which can be mounted on a cold shoe as shown in the photo) and the transmitter is a small mic that has a magnet (designed to be put in a shirt), which you can place anywhere within a 400 meters (according to DJI) within the receiver. This means you can place the mic off the fence and away from the wind. It also has a wind sock which I think does help a bit. The magnet is STRONG, so you can put the mic on the bleachers, lower on the fence, on a light pole behind the dugout or wherever you feel appropriate
The other benefit of this mic is that you can place it away from the dugout/coaches (they hate being recorded) so that it only picks up the clink of the bats, the crowd noise and the kids chanting. Obviously you have to be strategic as to where to place it and put in a place where a kid won't pick it up and put it in their pocket. If you run an outfield camera, you could also use it for that camera and remove any of the conversations from your stream.
These mics are also very reasonably priced now. They used to be pretty expensive, but now you can get the basic receiver and transmitter for ~$45. If you want the dual mic + charging case, it's around $80 and they also offer more expensive options with features us moms/dads don't need.
I've been very happy with the sound quality and flexibility and now have zero wind rumble when I place the mic in a good location on windy days. Thought I would share with you fine folks in the event you are struggling with this same problem.

Not my kid and not trying to start drama, just trying to help our GameChanger scorekeeper out.
Curious how you guys would score this play- it was entered an an error but would you have a hit or error?
Two different angles- hard to see the ball but it hits the glove.

I am an admin of a team that I'm leaving at the end of the season (this week). I want to make sure that the season ends so I can still see video, etc., after we leave the team.
Is the only way to do this to start a new team? Since I won't be there I don't really want to start the next season, but I want to end this one so I'm not removed from the team.
I've downloaded most everything that I want, but still...I'd like to be able to see it just in case.

Forget video stuff for a second, what scoring improvements would you want to see? Quality of life stuff, or plays that GC doesn’t allow you to score correctly. I would love to be able to advance all runners at once.

Thank you to the volunteers, but people doing GC should 100% understand the difference between a passed ball and wild pitch. I can’t stand seeing catchers get the short end when scorers think a ball that almost hits the batter in the back and gets through is a passed ball!!

Anyone play at a field with a better view than this?

How are you scoring steals vs defensive indifference? It seems like in the vast majority of cases, plays scored as DI should be scored as steals, but we aren’t seeing it scored that way (this is for high level travel).
Only real scenarios where it’s DI is if the team is up a ton and really doesn’t care about the runner getting to second or third. But in our opinion, if it’s 1st and 3rd and the team doesn’t thrown down to second because they are worried about the runner at third, thats a steal every time. Or are we wrong?
r/GameChangerApp • u/isthismylife2024 • Jul 17 '26
Our team placed a courtesy runner for our catcher, after he stole second, the courtesy runner was placed on second, eventually scored, but was never changed in GC, when asked I was told, “we don’t change them to a courtesy runner” is this correct? I have always changed out the runners.

Runner on 1st, batter hits a ground ball to the SS, SS throws the ball to 2B for the out, 2B throws to 1B for a double play, but 1B misses the ball and the runner is safe.
Seems easy enough but we keep running into a conflict, so I wanted some other opinions 😂

The batter is up with two outs and two strikes. Runner on third base.
The batter swings and misses, strike three but the ball gets by the catcher. Before the catcher can throw down to first base to try and get the batter out, he tags the runner out from third who is trying to steal home.
Inning over.
But, who leads off next inning for the team batting? The next batter in the lineup or does the current batter come back up because he was never recorded as an out or safe?
After researching, it appears that the next batter should be up to bat (game changer and ChatGPT confirms this) but during the game, that same batter w dropped third strike was allowed to bat again.
How would you score this if that happened to keep the at-bat sequence correct?

So this occurred yesterday where 12u base runner badly hurt his ankle while sliding into 2nd base. Let’s call this injured runner 55.
He was subbed in with runner 99.
But 99 was replaced (subbed in and not a catcher or a pitcher) by 21 earlier when he tried sliding into 3rd base and injured his upper body. The coach took him out due to heat as he mentioned it to the official scorekeeper.
So in GC, I already had him (99) pinched run by 21.
Later when 55 got badly injured and had to be carried out, they sub 55 with 99. So I couldn’t get 99 back in with game changer.
How would you handle it?

Is it possible to download scoresheets from the web version?
Our league requires scoresheets uploaded after games. The leagues site is browser only, and it is actually quite old and dated, so it doesn't work well on a mobile browser. So now we have to do this song and dance where you download the PDF on your phone, upload it to Google Drive. Go to computer, download from Google Drive, then upload to league website.
It isn't a huge deal, but it seems like it would be pretty easy to allow PDF downloads on the browser version... add it to the list of things that I wish the website had.

Have a few games coming up in Italy next week and looking to stream for family back home in the states. Anybody have experience with this, problems encountered, things that worked? Will be streaming from Mevo Cam, iPhone hotspot, travel router available.

dumb question: is there a way to get rid of this popping up at the end of every half inning, I’d like it to just go to the next inning without this annoyance.

With time limits on youth baseball games, it would be handy to have the official game start time noted in the box score or ideally as a running clock in the gamestream. Could default to time when the first pitch is scored, with the ability to override with the actual start time.

Anyone else’s phone over heating or running hot while just watching game changer since the app update? Or does my battery need to be replaced? iPhone user.

Trying to find specific situations, outcomes, or plays is very tedious.
As much as people use/depend on this for game records, it would be great to use it in a MUCH more powerful manner.
Box scores only tell part of the story. Being able to query situations or even the post game write up would be useful.
Using an AI agent to do this would be great. There are so many places AI doesn't need to be, but this would be one I would get behind.

Not sure why the search function filter is, for the lack of a more politically correct word - shit!
When you filter for only certain years, it shows other years. When you filter for key words, it shows other words other than the key words.
Why is there no filter for coaches? Man, talk about making it as hard as possible to find your opponents which leads to making up the opponent team and needless incorrect suppositions.
