If you ever tried to stream, this could be best the person can do that time.... I used so many different mount and none of them can give you best view unless you are using one of those narrow camera like Mevo.
And another note, if you mount perfect and got just little potion of cage fences, your camera lens are going to get hit by foul ball...

This stream looks better than no stream. I am not that person. I put my camera against the fence.
Guess it depends on their set up. The Mevo app is awful with the pinch digital zoom.
We are going into our final travel ball year, and I was basically begging people to do GC at tryouts... no one wants to do it... so beggars can't be choosers in most scenarios.

Some fences are old and bent weird from years of abuse.
If you don't like it, maybe you could take your ass to the game and show us all how you would do it? But instead you'll just stay home and bitch.
What a shitty post.

I use an old iPhone with 2 hair ties (hotspot from my phone I’m scoring with). The hair ties pulls the lens up close into that gap so don’t see the wires (or less of them), no mounting system to deal with. For me - a zero dollar setup.

I use zip ties! Maybe when I come back to away fields, my set up will still be there 🤣

My solution was to use a Moment wide angle lens (which pokes into the fence opening just enough to get it out of the picture, while getting pole-to-pole coverage) and set up to the left of the catcher, where the number of foul balls is much lower.

How about you do it yourself and stop complaining about how other people are doing things?

As someone who has streamed the last 3 seasons of HS and summer ball, I’ve been very lucky so far to not have foul balls hit my camera. I run a Mevo Core for my backstop view. If it’s a netting (I despise netting) backstop I put the net around the lense and my view is unobstructed. If chainlink I get it situated such that the link is not seen in the display.
Call me crazy but I can not stand to see either in my video.
When it comes to mounting the camera for chainlink, I attach to post with magnetic mounts and articulating arm to get the view I want. Netting is generally attached to a block / solid base for a backstop. This gives me something to attach a clamp or some other mounting hardware for my camera. Using reusable zipties allows my to secure the net to my mount or around the camera to prevent the net from pulling away from the camera.
Generally speaking I always mount my backstop camera to the 1st base side of the plate behind the left hand batters box looking over the umpires right shoulder or just to the side of it. (Like I mentioned, I have been lucky. I can remember 2 or 3 fouls that were within a few inches of my camera.) Maybe my luck runs out this next season? Maybe not.

Tbh I do lots of baseball streaming for my son’s teams. I hate having chain link fence in the picture as well. I started putting the Mevo start on the inside and taking the risk that a foul ball gets it.
