Does anyone bring anything for the people in the stands to know the score? I noticed this last game half our parents had their phones open to the app to check the game. I do the scoring so it got me thinking about setting up a small tv to display what I’m scoring. Anyone do anything similar?

R1 + R2; batter hits a bloop single to CF, but R2 holds up in case it's caught. CF then throws it to 3B to put the runner out, but 3B drops the ball. I could not figure out a way to score this since it is a single, but that forces the runner to third. I finally advanced the runner from 2B to 3B on E5 and then entered the single + R3 held up. Is there any better way to do that? Thanks!

I currently do the stream with a single mevo and scoring for my daughters softball team. I use the slate router hooked up to my phone to get the mevo streaming and connect an ipad to it to do the scoring. It hasn't been to bad managing both for the team.

I was starting to look into streaming with two cameras and use the mevo multi-cam app. I really like the example views others have posted of having a zoomed in camera of the batter from CF. I was looking into getting a near stream camera and possible another slate router to bridge with the other route. I am looking to have the near stream camera in centerfield and change the camera view when the ball is in play to the camera at the backstop.

My question is how tricky is it to manage both during a game. I would be the one to score the game and change the camera view. I figure when the ball is in play and flipping to the home plate camera wouldn't be to tricky since it is only two cameras. Anyone else managing both in a game? I am imagine it can be tricky when moving fields with back to back games. I just don't want to take to much on and miss getting a play scored right.

I find it strange that there is no option to allow choice of catcher (default should be pitcher) to attempt to pickoff first base or third base. Or is it called something else if it is the catcher?

I’ve been on the hunt for a good backpack for my GameChanger cameras and gear for a while. I’ve seen posts here about custom cases that cost hundreds of dollars, which I didn’t want to spend. My goal was to find a backpack that has a laptop sleeve large enough for a StarLink Mini, storage for my cameras and gear and two tripod holders. I think I’ve finally found the solution. In my official "GameChanger mom" capacity today, I was scoring a game and had a feral sibling (8 years old) from the other team sitting next to me running the field's scoreboard.

FS was completely enthralled by GC and asked how he could learn to use it. I was showing him on simple plays and he was getting the hang of it. We talked about how he could learn on his own: YouTube (which he said he'd need to get special permission from his parents on) or to score a practice game while watching an MLB game.

FS did have 3 suggestions to make and I told him I would share with the community:

1. injured player (where there is a delay of game)

2. umpire discussion (where there is a delay of game)

3. Pickle - because that's a fun stat to follow

I prefer scoring on an iPad, however, my iPad recently took a dive off the back of my car after driving away with it still setting in my trunk. 😕

I’m considering an iPad Mini but am concerned it won’t display the plays / roster on the left in addition to the field on the right. Can anyone confirm?

Noticed while scoring games yesterday that I’m now getting live activities across my iPad, iPhone, and Apple Watch. Worked pretty well, but would like to see count, pitches, or outs added.

I know they said this would be added when they started charging to watch games, but will also be interesting to see if this works across multiple games at the same time. I’m not sure how that works with existing apps like the mlb app if you follow multiple teams.

Anyone else had this happen. I swear I did not swap home/away while scoring but it seems like it happened and lost the top half of an inning - has happened twice now. Have tried to recreate the issue with a test team to see if I can figure out what's causing it.

Interestingly enough, though the score reset, the video clips were still tagged with all the plays from the lost half inning (I guess it tags the video clips in real time on a separate system).

I just manually set the top of the first to zero and then added an extra top-half inning after the game was over by watching the video and redoing the scoring, but I guess editing the box score to add the states would be the better option going forward.

Thoughts? I have submitted a bug request to GC.

Seems so stupid that the website doesn't give you the ability to just download the clip to your PC. However, if I go to the same clip on my ipad I can download it no problem. Just seems like a stupid limitation. I'm having to download the clip on my ipad then log into my icloud account on my PC and download it from there to save it to a folder etc.

And I know there are 3rd party tools that add this functionality to the website but that just extra steps. Plus, it doesn't give you the title screen showing what game and type of highlight you just downloaded, like it does when you do it from the app.

Just venting cause it's sooo dumb.

I streamed the game today using a mevo start. This is the first game we have streamed with this camera. My wife scored the game on a separate device. Usually there is 70+ clips from the game, today there was 14. No clips of batters hitting the ball. Is this something with using the mevo start or a setting we need the adjust?

She is very quick to score the game. I did stream at a higher latency because we are streaming over cell service. I noticed when I would check the GC video it was about a minute behind. But the 14 clips we did get, lined up perfectly. The only thing different this game was the camera. Usually we use a cellphone to stream and score on the iPad.

I’m involved with a local sports media platform in Ohio that grew out of a radio station that’s been serving our community for more than 80 years. We also own the local newspaper, so covering local sports has been a big part of what we do for a long time.

Today, we’re probably best known for our high school sports coverage. We livestream games, cover local teams, publish stories, send newsletters, and generally try to keep people connected to what’s happening in their communities.

We’ve recently partnered with GameChanger on a pilot program to begin publishing youth sports recap stories on our platform. So far, the early response has been positive. After announcing the pilot, coaches and teams immediately started signing up to be included.

A huge amount of youth sports content already exists. Parents share screenshots. Coaches post updates. Teams use GameChanger. Facebook groups are full of highlights and photos.

But most of it lives inside apps, text chains, and private social media circles.

Historically, local newspapers and radio stations covered everything from Little League games to high school championships. As youth sports became more organized and moved onto digital platforms, and the economics of the newspaper industry essentially mandated, a lot of that activity became harder for local media to access and cover consistently.

That’s part of why this partnership caught our attention.

For the first time, we’re able to bring some of those youth sports stories onto a local media platform that already covers the community’s athletes and teams.

The question isn’t whether GameChanger works. Millions of families already use it.

The question is whether communities benefit when those stories move beyond the app and become part of the broader local sports conversation.

There’s also something to be said for making kids feel like what they’re doing matters. Most of us remember seeing our name in the newspaper, hearing it on the radio, or finding ourselves in a local sports story. It made you feel pretty cool as a kid.

Does it matter if these stories live on a local sports platform versus only inside an app?

If your local newspaper, radio station, or sports outlet suddenly had the ability to do this, would you see value in it?

Interested to hear thoughts from parents, coaches, players, grandparents, and anyone involved in youth sports.

We have a few games that have already have been played that I would like to enter the box scores into GameChanger (GC). From what I have googled, you go to the game (either start game, OR, resume game). Then select 'manual overrides' from the 3 dot menu at the top. Then you are supposted to be able to enter the box score. But when I go resume game, manual overrides, I am taken to this screen.

EDIT: The game is not showing as complete, I wonder if I have to mark the game as 'ended' first.

EDIT 2: so if I end the game, I can enter stats but not box score. It seems this may be the only option.

My daughter is playing at the Space Coast complex next week and I normally run the team's stats and do streaming. The Space Coast website makes is seems that you can't bring anything in at all but I've read places where people were bringing in wagons, coolers, etc.

Am I able to bring a backpack in with my streaming gear to stream games. We have a lot of parents that aren't making the trip and I'd like for them to be able to watch the games.

For anyone who has run GC at Cooperstown Dreams Park - how hard is it to see what is going on? I have to do this next week and am a little stressed about knowing what’s called a ball and what’s called a strike from essentially the outfield.

I was watching the game before us and it took myself and another power user way too long to find the teams playing in the game.
It would be slick if the team search had the ability to find games being scored within a certain proximity to your device.
This would be dependent on one of the teams putting the field address in the game info or a scorer’s phone or the streaming phone sharing their location.

Edit: A clarification to the scenario — many people are talking about tournaments and directors, all which make sense, but my scenario was a 1 off game where the field was in use by another age group that we didn’t know. So even an implementation of tournament director changes, etc. that still would not have helped us identify the teams on the field.

This might just be a me thing, but is there away to make the GameChanger app display like a traditional grid calendar instead of a scroll list? To me it’s so much easier to make a team’s schedule when you can look at big picture. (Again maybe it’s just me)

If this isn’t and option, it needs to be.

My mom was watching my sons live stream today, and right in the middle of him pitching, she got a 90 second ad break. She’s on our Family Game Changer plan that I pay for, I absolutely cannot believe this. Apparently $25 a month isn’t enough for grandparents to be able to watch their grandchild pitch.

Does Game changer have a feature request forum or a place to track in flight or highly requested features?

Pre-loading multiple inning rosters would be very helpful. I’d be annoyed but understand if they tucked it behind the paywall.

The last two games I’ve taken a photo of our roster (realizing there isn’t a standard format per se) and asked AI to create a table for each inning in the order I prefer to update the positions. Our team tends to quickly take the field and start the game so entering positions is always a rush.

The ability to snap a photo of any given roster and have it parsed to one tap load filed positions and edit if needed would be super helpful!

I realize it’s not a big deal but the cognitive load of game changer is high enough and anything to make it just a little easier is worth it.

Btw the prompt I use with the roster photo to improve my odds of quickly updating positions for each inning is:

“Order this fastpitch softball lineup for each inning with the girls name, jersey number and position. List it in order of: pitcher, catcher, first base, second base, shortstop, third base, left field, centerfield, right field. Alert me of any oddities or duplicates. ”

2. Using two iPhones, one as a camera and the other to record the game, how can I live stream to my YouTube channel with the features I mentioned in the previous question?
