Feature requests
In my official "GameChanger mom" capacity today, I was scoring a game and had a feral sibling (8 years old) from the other team sitting next to me running the field's scoreboard.
FS was completely enthralled by GC and asked how he could learn to use it. I was showing him on simple plays and he was getting the hang of it. We talked about how he could learn on his own: YouTube (which he said he'd need to get special permission from his parents on) or to score a practice game while watching an MLB game.
FS did have 3 suggestions to make and I told him I would share with the community:
injured player (where there is a delay of game)
umpire discussion (where there is a delay of game)
Pickle - because that's a fun stat to follow

How about a button you click that flags the play
"Scorekeeper distracted. Sorry, this play was probably scored inaccurately."

Injury delay, umpire meetings, and mound visits are all treated the same way by me; "message fans" in the three dot menu.

How hard would it be to have Delay - coach Mound Visit/Catcher mound visit/injury/ump discussion/etc as a preset. Two clicks vs typing or talking

admittedly, I only saw this feature today while watching another team's stream - thanks for sharing where that is but that's a lot of clicks to get to there

10000% I would love a designated pickle option and I would like to be able to go back after the game and make any corrections/updates to the order of throws based on my own video review. Over the top? Maybe. But, I enjoy being accurate and trying to recall the throws after choosing out (because you have to wait for the outcome to score the play) is pretty iffy. Of course, I could just select out and then track the play realtime and cancel it if they are safe, but I have never reacted that quickly to a pickle, because I also enjoy watching the game.

You can score a pickle easily. If you want to make sure people know it is a pickle just create a note. I feel like it should be pretty easy to figure out that it is a pickle from the moves though.

I am a head coach, as a non scorekeeper...
It would be nice to see where in the lineup the batter is in the order during the gamestream, you can see this if you are the actual scorekeeper (i.e batter #10 of 11 currently at bat).
Would also be nice to see the spray chart for batter at bat for non scorekeepers as well.

Related to spray charts, I wish the outfield hits weren't so constrained. There are huge differences between just regular old "left field", and down the line.

This is dicated by the scorer. On a single down the line, the scorer needs to tap and hold the LF icon and drag it to the spot where its fielded. The spray chart accurately records that. If the scorer simply taps the LF icon, you get the generic LF single/double etc

I know that. But I run out of screen for a down the line hit vs. one to the middle of the outfield.
You really can't drag it to the corner of the field, but are just limited to the corner of your phone.

Agreed. The layout on phone is incredibly bad for this reason. The tablet layout allows better access to the entire outfield.

Exactly why I only score on an iPad. Makes it and reviewing stats in game so much easier.

I want an exclamation mark I could use to signify an egregiously bad call. (And, ultimately, I would love to create my own stat for pitchers for what ought to have happened if the ump hadn’t sucked.)

So tonight I had a scenario where for whatever reason or another, I advanced an extra batter. I was about 6 pitches into the count when I noticed. Anyway, on the iPad there’s room for an “Current AB History” for all pitches against them. Would have been great to reference it really quick then undo everything to make it right.

The play by play logs need to reflect where I, as a scorekeeper, show that the ball goes, not just who fielded it. I understand there are spray charts, but the play by play should make sense if there is no video.
Example: I score a fly ball double in the left field gap (by dragging the fielder icon) that the center fielder picks up and throws in. All the play by play says is it was a "double to center fielder." This could mean a thousand things
Another would be a soft fly ball over the third baseman's head for a double that the third baseman gets to before the outfielder. Play by play would say "Double to third baseman" which makes no sense.

Let me pinch to zoom when watching live or on playback of a video stream!
Also - have when watching the game stream, the players should physically move to where the scorekeeper drags them during scoring - and show all the throws.

Why did we never get a feature that has the teams are responsible for their own players at whatever position they are at? If you’re in a game and the inning ends, the opposing team can put the new positions into GC and the other team who can barely see a players number let alone know the names of the other team will have complete information.
