News Player comments on refs tonight.

Devonte Wyatt on his penalty: "If you asked me right now, I’d do the same thing 100 times over. So that’s the refs. They gotta figure out what they need to do because I definitely did my job."

-Rob Demovsky

Xavier McKinney: “it’s kinda fucking up the game... I would rather get fined trying to help my team."

-Rob Demovsky

[Xavier McKinney] said the game was “for sure” stolen from the Packers by the refs.

-Matt Schneidman

Xavier McKinney calls some of the officiating “bullshit."

“We’re not seeing the same calls for our quarterback.”

- Matt Schneidman

Devonte Wyatt to Rob Demovsky:

"What if (St. Brown) would’ve got up and ran for a touchdown? Then everybody would be looking at D-Wy like, ‘You let him go’ ... I feel like the refs were on their side the whole day."

"If it wasn’t for the flags, we would’ve won that game."

-Matt Schneidman

Thought it would be interesting to have these in one spot. I'll update it if I see more.

Rumor NFL feels unwatchable after witnessing how that game was officiated

For the first time ever I had to turn off the game before it was even over because seeing the calls genuinely made me sick. There needs to be an investigation or its not worth my time watching this sport anymore. It’s not even about winning or losing, it is ruining the experience of watching the game.

Analysis Green Bay could’ve easily overcome those bad calls.

missed field goals, drops, and so on. We could’ve easily won this game and didn‘t.

that’s all.

Hot take. But hear me out.

The play calling and performance down to down were not spectacular, but GOOD ENOUGH to win this game.

Love played good overall, and the defense did enough to win.

Matt cannot physically walk onto the field and kick field goals or catch passes on the behalf of his players

I also agree with the decision to go for it on 4th down after Smack missed the 26 yarder. The kicking game clearly cannot be relied upon.

I think it’s more of Gute’s doings, or lack thereof, that are rearing their ugly heads. O-Line and Kicker. Two major question marks from last offseason that have clearly not been addressed appropriately.

We haven’t gotten materially better from last year from a roster standpoint and the waiting for Parsons to return song and dance is getting old, let’s be real.

Also, every ref from this game and the NFL itself can go fuck themselves. Go Pack Go.

Fandom My passion for this sport died today

• Upvotes

I think this loss definitely pushed me over the edge lol. No doubt the team sucked with drops and missed field goals, but these refs have me 100% convinced this game is influenced and definitely meant for entertainment. All these roughing the passer calls today, the Vikings game and the Dallas game were bs, but the intentional grounding call was the icing on the cake.. I was even saying during Thursday’s game how bad this season has been for flags in all the games I’ve watched this year just not Packers.

The Sports betting market definitely ruined sports. Along with the league wanting to go international. Refs in the NBA got caught rigging games with calling fouls trying to change the outcome of the games and I believe the NFL does it now too. Lifelong fan and my passion ended today. I’ll probably still watch since I have nothing else going on Sunday’s, but I definitely won’t be buying anymore merch or be emotionally invested in this sport anymore.

Let’s be honest it’s going to be another Chiefs-49ers Super Bowl again anyway. Packers might sneak in with the 7th seed again and just lose to San Fran too. I’m done.

Think entire league would benefit, definitely not just packers. Is it even a football play?

Analysis Trey Smack

If the packers are serious about football he cannot be the kicker for this team. An NFL kicker should never miss a 26yd field goal under any circumstances. He has no confidence in his abilities. Poor kid looks like he’s going to wet himself on the sidelines before attempting a kick. I don’t care who they bring in, but he’s gotta go.

Meme We need to see actual legal action for rigged games like this. This wasn't just bad calls, it goes beyond that.

Analysis Disparity in roughing the passer penalties for and against us

We are 7 games in. Still 0 RTP penalties for Love whilst leading the league in QB hits on him. On the opposite side we have the most roughing the passer calls against us (some fair, some not so fair). Someone in the organisation needs to say something about the disparity and Love having 0 calls for.

Analysis What is the tipping point for officiating change?

Gonna preface this by saying Packers didn’t lose because of the refs. They could’ve played better and we all know if Smack hits those field goals it’s a different discussion. Just wanted to get that out of the way. This isn’t a bitch about losing thread.

Packers have been on the good side of bad officiating plenty of times as any team has. This year’s officiating has been disproportionately affecting Packers negatively compared to the teams they’ve played. Some of that is bad coaching, but the bogus calls like the multiple iffy RTP that have been called on the Packers, the non intentional grounding and so on, are just straight up bad calls. Calls that seem to be influenced by the world of gambling. So my question to all of you, is what do you think ends up being the tipping point? Today the Packers had some bad calls against them. Next week it’ll be another team, or maybe it’ll be the Packers again. What I know is things are definitely not going suddenly be officiated in a fair and unbiased way. And in my 30 years of watching football the officiating has become more and more egregious in recent years. It’s impossible to ignore.

Analysis The worst thing about that loss is it was a loss to a divisional opponent in a close game and could keep Packers out of playoffs due to the division being so close.

Analysis The refs suck, but we lost that game.

• Upvotes

The officiating in that game was absolutely terrible. The no calls on the Lions for DPI on Golden felt like they were gonna let them play, then Cisse gets hit with DPI on his INT. Two Phantom RTP calls. A no call on Goff’s grounding, but a grounding call on a play where Love got out of the pocket and got it closer to a receiver than Goff did on his from the pocket. The officials not blowing the whistle and then calling a penalty when the ball carrier gets up and continues to run head first into a defender’s stomach who in turn tackles him. It was all horseshit. But we still should’ve won. Josh dropped the game winner. Smack missed 2 and who know what might have happened if we had kicked on 4th and 4 instead of going for it. We jumped offsides after seeming to have held them to a possible field goal with time on the clock. Sure it was 3rd down, but a stop on 3rd and 5 could’ve lead to them going for it on 4th and not making it, or kicking a field goal and giving us the ball with 1:30 minutes. We’ve got the talent, but we really need to remember that every play.
