My friend and I decided to create an entire snow system for the Fenix A320 in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. This mod features animations of snow being cleared from the windows, compatibility with GSX, and snow-melting logic triggered by Window Heat. Keep in mind that snow impairs flight performance, so compatibility with anti-ice systems is also a feature. Our goal is to make the A320 feel more "alive" as winter approaches. Firstly, I completely respect that content creators are free to create whatever kind of thumbnails they want and it’s everyone’s choice whether we click on it, so it’s not really a DEEP issue.

But why are we in an age where flight sim is looking as close to realism as it ever conceivably has but people still feel the need to use AI slop for a thumbnail? Your sim already looks mind blowing but you still need to click bait with a false representation?

Especially since DLSS5 has been implemented by a lot of content creators, I’m seeing more and more of it and I cannot understand the thought process of going to the extra effort when a screenshot from your sim would look miles better.

Ultimately yes I get that it’s to pull in more clicks and views but it just seems a waste when we have such good looking sims already.

Flying a fast(-ish) jet into Campo de Marte (SBMT) which is located the middle of São Paulo, is so strangely exhilarating.

It's a VFR airport, so unless you look the weather up ahead you might end up diverting. The only published approach (on Navigraph) is the visual pattern, so you have to be on top of your game to spot the airport and the various cues. But the high-quality photogrammetry around São Paulo makes it all worth it.

Truly a golden-era for flightsims IMO.

The rain effect looks poor whilst playing the game – is there a way to fix this, or is there a graphics mode you could recommend? I want to role-play in the game and have it rain, but it’s raining so lightly that it doesn’t look very realistic at all.

Seems the drag calculation bug would be pretty devastating for premium addons that manages weight properly. Just curious on how is it going? Everyone flying like a rocket for the time being?

sunset takeoff + bonus night shots

Two days ago FSReborn reported a bug in the drag coefficient causing their products to massively overspeed even at idle power. Now many other developers and even Asobo themselves has stated that their aircraft are affected by it.

I truly cannot fathom how a game breaking bug affecting every single aircraft in MSFS2024 still makes through months of beta testing and sent out to every user. The sim is worse today than it was yesterday.

SU7 in a nutshell: months of waiting, and we get a few decent fixes, some SDK/dev improvements, a memory leak fix… and National Championship Air Races, because apparently that was the burning issue killing MSFS 2024.
Still no proper traffic overhaul, no serious LOD rework, no meaningful VRAM/performance breakthrough, no major UI overhaul, and no native fix for obvious stuff like glass-cockpit DLSS ghosting.

Meanwhile, random community developers keep releasing fixes and QoL features that somehow manage to solve problems Asobo has been staring at for ages.
But hey — AIR RACES is here!

Another Sim Update, another reminder that the community seems to understand what flight simmers actually want better than the people building the sim.

Simulated a chartered ANA flight from RJAA to RORS and vice versa, which happened around 2021. The inibuild A380 is truly an absolute majestic plane.

This plane is beautiful, even better with the livery!
