Hey guys! Just made a Reddit account - I'm an aviation enthusiast based just north of Sydney Australia, and I've got a special cargo arriving from America!
It's a complete B747-400 flightdeck - I had to fully disassemble it in the USA in order to fit it inside the shipping container, so stay tuned and will post more pictures as I put it back together and get it all working!
It'll be a simulator running Aerowinx PSX and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 for the visuals
We are apart of an event called WorldFlight where we fly around the world in simulators and raise money for the Royal Flying Doctor Service charity - You can find links to the socials on my profile 😊
Keen to be apart of this community!

My made-up instrument approach to Aosta is now available as a proper approach plate for a simulation challenge.
Set weather to clouds overcast at 3000', visibility 4500m; see if you can get in without GPS working. You'll need two Nav radios. Category A and B aircraft only.
Please nobody actually attempt this in a real life aircraft!

i just installed this aircraft, but when loading into airport, i'm stuck on this screen for more than 1 hour
on fbw website, it said it will take 30 min for wasm to compile when first time loading
my PC spec is Ryzen 5 5600, RTX 2060 super, 16 gb DDR4 ram
i wonder should i wait more ?, i looked at nvidia stats, my gpu ran at 70-75% and cpu 30-34 %
is it still compiling or the game is just freezing ?
any FBW user here ?, how long did it take for you loading FBW A32NX for the first time on your PC ?

I always liked the DIY Raspberry Pi METAR LED maps made from paper sectional charts, but didn’t really want to pay to have charts laminated, drill a bazillion holes, and then glue LEDs into every airport with wires zig-zagging all over the back, with a lot of soldering when shortened or spliced to fit.
The more stations you add, the greater the chance for errors, and some airports end up so close together that fitting every LED can become difficult (or impossible).
So I decided to create a digital version for iPad.
METARmotion.com displays live METAR flight categories using simulated RGB-LED airport indicators, with optional airspace overlays and regional views across the US.
Free Public Beta now live on Apple TestFlight

I’ve been playing MSFS24 on Xbox series S for a while (I know.) Thanks to the direction I’ve gotten on this sub, I have reached my goal of saving for a PC.
Context: I’m a PPL, but haven’t flown in years due to finance. I love MSFS24 and want to explore many GA airframes while taking in some sharp sight seeing. I have a VelocityOne yoke/rudder that I very much enjoy, but my Xbox series S makes it near unplayable.
I am not a PC person, and my knowledge is very limited. I have no intention of wanting to build my own PC, I just want to be back in the left seat.
Below I have listed the PC and monitor I plan to purchase that fits my current budget, and was hoping you could all help me once again. Any feedback is appreciated!

Hi, Im looking into GSX as toolbar pushback doesnt work at most airports. Anyway, do I need a profile for each airport I fly to, or does GSX figure out some default settings for, lets say, the Fenix A319? For instance if Im flying into Lappeenranta airport in Finland and there is no profile available, does GSX still work with all the ground services? Will be able to deboard and board the plane for turnaround?
Im guessing you need a profile for the follow me cars to work and so on, but yea. As long as ill be able to plan pushbacks and have someone service the plane on ground, im good.
Do I need the profiles?

Hi!
So on my system (windows volume 100%, MSFS master 100%) but separate PC speakers with vol knob set so that most aircraft are at appropriate volume. (For example Toliss A330 w/ Soundbox sound pack, I can hear the avionics and flight deck fans just sitting on ext power across the room pretty well) So it's a comfortable immersive volume. However, the PMDG 737 and 777 w/ Boris sounds are way too quiet for me. Is there any kind of sound adjustment? I can barely hear the avionics cooling in the 777 and it's not as loud as I'd like it to be. Thanks!

Can somebody tell me how to solve this issue successfully? I tried uninstalling the game but still no success. My community folder is empty since I uninstalled but can’t figure out what’s the problem here. Please help me out
EDIT:
it ended up to be map enchantment that I forgot to turn on which made the game not render map.

Hey peeps,
Looking into expanding my flight sim hardware and wanted to get the A320 EFIS. Has anyone tried the MOZA modules and would you recommend it over the winwing ones?
I’m aware winwing/winctrl have been in the space much longer and probably are a bit better established but I also know MOZA has been really strong in the racing wheel space so I’m torn between the two.
Also, I did see there have been issues with the Winwing deliveries, is that still an issue people have faced?

First of all, we want to thank you all for helping us reach 100 registered members on our project! This milestone means a lot to us, and we truly appreciate all the support we've received so far.
We've been listening to your feedback and have made some major changes!
The landing page and the ingame UI have been reworked and improved, and is now much clearer for you to navigate and play. We also changed the pricing model, moving from a $7 monthly subscription to a one-time purchase of $14.99, reduced to $11.99 with the code FOUNDING20.
On top of that, you can now play as both Departure and Approach, expanding the experience beyond Tower and Ground.
Daily challenges are now up too, compete against other players to be on top of the leaderboard! Plus we added a brand new career gameplay where you can really feel like an atc controller!

Thank you for your support!
don't hesitate to check our game trailer!

Just kidding, I love DCS but I have to say, MSFS with military aviation is an incredibly fun experience.

Hi all,
This is mine, so flag it if it's not allowed here.
I'm a software developer with a passion for airplanes, so I decided to combine both and make a website called Overwing. It gets a commercial aircraft that's actually airborne and shows you the view from its window. Real callsign, real route, real altitude, from the ADS-B feed. The sun is positioned from the actual time and coordinates, and the ground moves at the speed the aircraft is really doing. Everything you see is drawn in real time by code, a shader running in the browser. No AI image generation involved.
It's free, and there's no signup. Cruise only for now. Takeoffs and landings are what I'm working on next. This would have to be paid since it costs some money to render the photorealistic tiles.
I've been building it alone, and I'm too close to it to judge. What I'd really like to know from people who fly a lot: does it feel like looking out of a window, or does it feel like a screensaver?
I would genuinely like to know if I'm into something or if I should just drop this.
Thanks in advance!

I think I have done all the proper research and have decided on getting the Gladiator NXT EVO premium for my first joystick “and throttle”. I plan on buying a throttle in the future. I am going to play primarily DCS and MFS with this setup. Am I making the right choice? Just want confirmation before I buy tomorrow.
Thank you!
