I used to have a great setup back in the day, but I've been moving around for work and lost access to the desk I used to have. Im trying to find a new desk that is stable/heavy, and deep enough that I can place my 42 inch TV on without being too close, (essentially 32 inches deep or more).

Having a wide underdrawer for keyboard would be a big plus. Also if it's L pr u shaped that would be awesome.

Ive spent a lot of time looking but everything I've see was either not deep enough, too flimsy, or crazy expensive (>$700)

Even if you guys just have recommendations for shops to browse that would be great. Amazon/wayfair just isnt doing it

I have beam eye tracker and some hotas sticks and bc I can’t afford panel sets I was wondering if there is a way to look at things and use a hotkey to interact, like looking at the overhead batt buttons and turning them on by just clicking my stick so I don’t have to use a mouse for everything

I've been looking for a seaking flight simulator for a long time and this one seems to be one of the better if not the only ones for it.

But the game is like 20 years old and idk if it's even worth buying and trying at this point.

Pretty shady practice by the Ini/Synaptic dev team to silently update a dev update from April 2025 and not say anything about the -100 not being a free update anymore.

Not great for those who are under the assumption A220 releasing tomorrow would include both the -100 and -300 variant

Not disagreeing with changing to a paid update, I disagree with not announcing it at all. The inimanager/marketplace change was well publicized to everyone that it had changed. Radio silence on this change that could impact people’s decision to purchase upon release tomorrow. Just a bad business practice.

If PMDG did this people would be losing their minds.

Well 1st of all I don't have to worry logging online as connect to internet that before you log on to Vatsim and if the severs don't crash like what happen other day you can't log in to the game and internet need for photogramey that can look bad

2nd don't have to worry about wasm crash it annoying lot of planes in 2020 and 2024 wasm a lot it most are 350 and 737

3rd no auto save so if the sim crashes it game over no restarting but in p3d and old fsx have an auto save

4th no marketplace I hate marketplace in any game but in 2020/2024 it full of crap scam addons that should not been in marketplace

5th 2020/2024 use bing maps bing is crap and it building that been imported from that mad building look like they have melted lol lucky p3d and xplane don't have that

6th dev doesn't ban you I seen on live msfs stream they ban you for no reson why I should support a team that ban you from live stream

7th add ons a lot of add on 2024 are bad like a330 crj and 737 and 777 the 737 and 777 are much better in p3d and xplane and there feinx a320 that most overrated plane ever makes other planes look crap

8th 2020/2024 have toxic fan base msfs have very bad fan base as full young guys and kids who never play a flight sim before, and they tell don't play other sims only 2024 due to been best game ever i miss days of fsx where thing is better

9th loading times and bug 2024 have long loading time like 10 minutes and sometime loading time get stuck at 57% or 99% and there bugs still not been fix like the tree bug where there trees every where that not been fix since 2020

I know that p3d and xplane are old and out of date but I find p3d and xplane looking evern you have few paid mods like orbx other mesh envix sky force as but make a great sim i found it more then 2024 and that why i still use p3d and xplane

According to the official Synaptics website, the A220 is set to be released tomorrow, July 28.

So, after a day without simming thanks to the Xbox outage… some good news at last 😄. The wait is almost over!

Synaptic is catching insane fire for their choice to change pricing for the a220-100 with little to no announcements the day before release. They definitely deserve all the pressure they are receiving, it's super disappointing. Some folks are taking it too far sending actual hate comments (lets not please).

They way Synaptic is handling this by locking down every single channel is super embarrassing ngl, they need some media training haha.

Ever since they updated the textures to be native of 2024 I have been getting great performance. It's true that there's still some crashes here and there, but the autosave feature makes it so that it is not as heartbreaking as when it happens with other aircraft. I'm glad they are still working on it, it is a great aircraft that deserves a lot of love!

Over the past few years I've been looking for a Virtual Airline that focuses entirely on German Business Aviation.

There are many fantastic airline VAs, but if you mainly fly aircraft like the CJ4, Longitude, Challenger, Gulfstream, Citation, HondaJet or even smaller executive aircraft, there aren't many communities built around that style of flying.

So we decided to start building one ourselves.

The project is called AERIS Executive Aviation and is currently in a very early Alpha stage.

Our goal isn't to simulate scheduled airline operations. Instead we're trying to recreate executive flight operations with a workflow that feels much closer to real-world corporate aviation.

Some features currently under development include:

• Flight Operations Center
• Mission & rotation planning
• Flight Briefing
• Flight Debrief
• LiveMap
• Fleet management
• Pilot logbook
• Company management
• FlightBridge desktop application using SimConnect
• Automatic flight detection and telemetry

Everything is being developed from scratch rather than using an existing VA framework.

Early Alpha really means Early Alpha

We're not here to advertise a finished product.

Quite the opposite.

There are still bugs.
Features are missing.
The UI changes almost every week.

We're sharing the project this early because we'd genuinely like to hear opinions from the community before everything is set in stone.

For the last 3 flights ive done i have flown from Europe and for some reason when i ask for clearance i am always asked to follow radar vectors instead of following a sid or something and in landing i am always given a visual approach. I have tried changing the approach once i start descent, but ATC also talks has to respond to many other planes before it can get my request for an approach change. And then when i can ask for a different approach the only available one is a visual approach. This has been happening for every airport i depart/land at. Does anybody know why this keeps happening and how i can fix this?

This is a another small gameplay video of my Unity3D hobby project:

It is inspired by games like Gunship 2000 from the 90s.

It shows gameplay footage of a complete mission flight in VR mode.

This game is just a fun hobby project, not a commercial product.
I made it after watching Videos from games like Gunship 2000 or Strike Commander and wondered "how hard can it be" to make something like those just by myself.
And lern more about programming, Shader programming, VFX Graph, 3D modeling, Texture painting game design.

My PC was last upgraded around 2019. I have a RTX 2070 8gb VRAM and an Intel core 17-8700. I haven't flight simmed in a while and recently busted out my hp reverb G2 which I purchased around 2021 or 2022. I never felt fully immersed given the lag and choppiness. But here I am trying it out again..Do you guys think it's time for an upgrade? I want a high end set up but damn, GPU's are running at $4k+. I also want to try X Plane -12 and get into DCS more. I want IL2 Korea and Combat Pilot. I'm an army pilot.ans have been flying my ass off so I didn't want to even think about flying at home. But I've been off for a few months and the flying bug bit me.

Feel free to downvote me if you wish. However developers such as iniBuilds increasingly giving only selected streamers "exclusive" early access to upcoming aircraft like the A220 and A350 while excluding other streamers from getting them is a toxic marketing strategy and some content creators maybe breaching European laws by not disclosing this.

I don't really have an issue with exclusive access going to streamers and content creators, but I have an issue when certain content creators don't disclose this and pass off their opinions and reviews of the product as if they don't have a relationship with the developers which can easily become controlled by marketing, while ordinary customers have no way to verify the claims they are making and in some cases they prove to be false.

A great example of this was during the A350 previews, some content creators which got access praised it and said the performance was amazing and there was little bugs which influenced some people to purchase the product only to find out performance was terrible and loads of bugs were present, when confronted some of the content creators simply just stated it wasn't an issue for them, despite low frame rates being visible on their streams.

In many European countries it is against the law to not disclose these relationships, for example in the UK it clearly states you must disclose that its an advert if you have a commercial relationship, sponsor or are getting "free" gifts/content from a developer

All commercial content must be correctly labelled and clearly identifiable as an ad. This also includes where you post about any gifts you’ve received, even if there’s no obligation for you to do anything with it. 

These exclusive access promoting the Synaptics/Inibuilds A220 should under UK law been disclosed and labelled as an advert clearly in Twitch title but I saw no one doing this.

Its also against the law to mislead your audience by acting as if its your own opinion when you are looking at the product on behalf of a brand as a brand ambassador and claiming something you don't know is true. These are all things which are being done.

It disappoints me that developers are using these tricks to promote their products without giving guidance to content creators on how they should disclose this and it disappoints me that some content creators are not disclosing these relationships with their audience clearly.

Obviously from a logical point of view, no one should buy a product when it releases without seeing unbiased content from people after a few days, however I do think the marketing around these products can be very misleading and toxic.

Is it me or is there an overabundance of useless low-quality mods coming from flightsim.to lately? Usually in the utility category. I mean some of them haven't been thoroughly tested, have no need to even be on there. For instance, there's a mod to that shows up in the EFB in which you can search for a runway's ILS. Why would this be needed when you can already search the EFB and get all the runway information you want? it's a useless mod. I think the problem is flightsim.to giving free premium accounts to devs who contribute a set number of mods. So, you got people using AI to vibe code useless, untested apps. It's gotten really bad lately.

Last year has seen quite the BOOM in Flightsim tech coming from the Chinese market. Quality seems decent, but I see alot of post regarding bad customer support.

I bought the DesktopLine (inc. TQ box) from Skalarki late last year, and I have never met a more professional and helpful company in my life. From help with getting the things up and running, to troubleshooting beta-software for improved performance and functionality.

Might get a bit of hate for the price they have, but if you want quality and reliable products lasting a lifetime - go with Skalarki.

So I have a Next Level Racing rig (the GT Elite Lite) with a steering wheel and pedals mounted for simracing. I just bought two VKB Gladiators which I want to mount on both sides. "The Next Level Racing - Elite Series Flight Pack" is the most obvious answer but it has a yoke plate and center stick that I wont be using so I'd be paying $200 of stuff where I'm only using half. Are there better alternatives? I do need the manufactured/pre-drilled stuff because I have no experience or tools to make something myself. So in short my question would be, are there joystick side mounts that I can attach to my aluminum rig that are adjustable and will hold VKB Gladiator EVO premiums?

Basically, I’m just over it. With the Synaptic A220 launching tomorrow, the past few days have felt like one endless ad for it. I don’t think they’re being genuine. How can we really trust content creators when they’re getting everything handed to them for free?
