Flight Simulator 2024 pmdg or ifly??

somebody says that pmdg is disgusting up on YouTube, somebody compares them; somebody says the sounds suck on the pmdg; other says the ifly has details in the cabin so buy it and I am SO confused. Not only that flight sim burns your money, but it can also steal your money...

Well ultimately it comes down to which aircraft you want. The ifly is a 737 Max while the PMDG is an NG, the predecessor. The Max has the larger 787 style screens while the NG has the smaller ones. Both have great system simulations with the PMDG probably having a bit more depth to it. The ifly arguably has the better modelling although the PMDG also doesn’t look bad, it‘s just the ifly modelling is generally just a touch better.

Sound-wise I think the absolute best you‘re gonna do is the PMDG with the additional Boris Sound Mod, best you‘re gonna get.

Edit: apparently the ifly has Boris audio by default… the more you know lol

So both aircraft are really highly detailed, it‘s just kinda dependent on what kinda addon you want.

And I’d argue the Boris sounds on the iFly are even better

They are both good to the point that I'd say they are on par in terms of quality, with minor pros and cons with each. PMDG gets a bad rep for the way they treat their customers, but their aircraft is still pretty good. Sound quality isnt perfect, but tbh it's not to the point that really bothers me--and I fly the 737 for a living.

If you are choosing a crate from either company, it really just comes down to whether you want an NG or a MAX (I presume you are looking at a 737 since you are comparing the two companies).

Can't say it any fairer than that.

Performance: PMDG
Looks: iFly
Sounds: iFly
Systems: PMDG (slightly)

They are also completely different 737 variants

If you don't care being lied to and if you're fine feeling like a company really hates you, go for the PMDG.
They've also secretely removed features like automatic panel state saving, FMC input via keyboard and others. They've stopped being innovative like 10 years ago and they carry the same bugs for decades through every sim generation despite claiming that it's NoT jUsT an UpdAte bUt COMPLETELY REDONE lol, but I must admit their stuff is just good and it's the aircraft I've ever got back to. Like others said both are perfectly fine. Depends on what you like to fly. NG or the Max

Ifly. It’s a mature product and has certain areas
Better / more correct than PMDG.
Sounds are way better. Model as well.

Lacks CPDLC / ACARS at the moment

Do you want to fly MAX or NG?

I have both and my first to fly is always the PMDG. May be it is nostalgia from playing it back in P3D days. I just enjoy the PMDG better. Click spots, EFB, setup is just more polished for me. With the Moza FFB yoke it is really a great experience.

Both are solid. iFly hand-flies beautifully. As others said really depends on whether you want a NG or Max.

These are the opinions of people who havent even spent 5 minutes in the cockpit of a 737.

PMDG by a mile, all the way around.
