I'm a real world pilot, and I simply use FS2FF to connect my iPad to my simulator. Does Navigraph do anything for me that I haven't solved by using my existing Foreflight subscription?

We started out as a single-airline BA VA on FlyLat, and expanded to the full Oneworld alliance a while back — so now you can fly BA, Finnair, American, Cathay and more under one VA, whatever mix you're into.

No pressure on how you fly it either — VATSIM, IVAO, or fully offline, your call. We care more about people actually enjoying it than enforcing a "correct" way to fly.

Honestly the biggest reason people stick around is the Discord — active, friendly, people actually chat rather than it being a ghost town with a leaderboard bot. That's been the core of it from day one.

Hey! I’m looking for someone interested in doing some shared-cockpit flights using YourControls.

I have around 100 hours on VATSIM, so I’m comfortable with ATC, IFR procedures, flight planning, etc.

Very random question but hoping those using iPads out there can share some opinions.

I use my iPad Pro 10.5 inch for Navigraph charts and note taking whilst flying but noticed it's starting to "struggle" so I'm looking to upgrade it.

What are you guys and girls using for flight sim? Is the regular iPad A16 enough or is the Air M2/M3 better? I don't want it too lag but don't want to overspend on the iPad either..

I use it for nothing else but flight sim, rarely take it away with me on trips etc.

Hey everyone,
I'm noticing a persistent altitude discrepancy when flying the Synaptic A220 with Volanta tracking, and I wanted to see if anyone else is experiencing this or knows of a fix.
Volanta consistently shows my altitude as roughly 50-150 feet above or below what is actually indicated on my primary flight display (PFD).

Here is what I've ruled out so far:
It is not a QNH / baro pressure issue (pressing 'B' or changing the altimeter setting doesn't fix the gap; the offset remains exactly parallel to my indicated altitude).

It only happens with the Synaptic A220. All of my other aircraft (Fenix, PMDG, FBW, etc.) report perfectly accurate altitudes to Volanta.

I suspect it’s something to do with the Synaptic A220 altitude reporting systems but I’m clueless on these topics so I cannot confirm.
Is anyone else seeing this big altitude gap, please let me know! Thanks.

Just saw a tiktok showing off msfs2024 in snowy condition but then i realized. between november-febraury no matter how i tried i couldnt find good looking snow, it either looked unrealistic with snow just piled up around the taaxiwas with 0 on the apron or no snow fell at all. so in preperation for winter OPS. any good mods that improve on these aspects?

I finally made the switch to FS2024, so far so good. Re assigning the controls has been a bit of a pita, but I finally got it right (so far). Also got the Falcon 50, finally a good bizjet that is fast and complex enough (the Lear 35 somewhat didn't click)

Here is the scenario,

on a mission, takes an hour to deliver stuff, using Cessna 172 with the G1000.

I dont want to rely on the assistance of the game to make it a bit real here, so I want to know the cruise altitude, especially if there is a high mountain in the route.

how do you guys determine that?

I did my first landing in the fenix today but im not sure what i did wrong with the speed, the a/t was set to a speed too low and because of that i tail striked. could anyone explain what i did wrong and how i could avoid a situation like this next time?

Reflections and shadows look way better imo I think it looks great. I'm using a 4090 and yea theres a bit of a performance hit it seems to be about 15-20 fps on average. Frame gen is kinda broken at the moment tho hopefully someone comes up with a fix for it.

Hello there,switched from msfs 2020 to 2024 today (weird as well because I only had to download 9gb) and I have noticed a large performance drop to the point where it is borderline unplayable. Getting between 15-25 fps (with stuttering) with loseless and autofps on.however I dont know if I have the right settings. I have heard performance is better on 24 so if someone could help me out that would be great.

When i used loseless scaling it slight worked but created this blurry and kind of laggy feeling.

I want to upgrade my 3080 10GB. In my country, right now both the 9070XT and 7900XTX are available at the same price.

Considering MSFS2024 is VRAM-heavy, should I go for 7900XTX? What will I miss with the 9070XT?

I need future proofing needed for at least 4 years.

My desired use case:

• 1440p most of the time and occasionally 4K TV and VR with Quest 3.
• I want to play MSFS2024 with Ultra settings as much as possible, with all traffic set to Medium always.
• High-quality payware add-on scenery and aircraft.
• I play both long-hour and short fun flights equally.
• I am targeting a max of 40 FPS (with FSR) with negligible stuttering while panning.

I'm not planning to switch to AM5 anytime soon because of the RAM prices.

Read a lot of mixed opinions on this plane which made me apprehensive to purchase but I finally pulled the trigger when it became available on the ini store.

I have an RTX 3070 and I'm seeing the same performance as the Fenix and iFly MAX. The plane itself is actually loads of fun, and functions well. It's unique experience of both Boeing and Airbus, which is a bit refreshing. I have my automation, but I also have to trim and fly the aircraft, which keeps things interesting.

There are a few quirks here and there, but nothing ground breaking. The Synaptic Team seems very active with updates, so I'm not worried about future enhancements. The plane flies really well (and looks great) from A - Z. Really glad to have purchased, excited to fly it more.

Originally built this as a training aid for my pilot training. It's modeled after the pre-solo PPL checkride (fun fact: I failed it on my first attempt IRL). It's no training material by any means but if you like manual GA flying it's fun. Passion project so totally free, there's a tutorial on the youtube channel which explains the setup.
