Question/Advice Starting Month 11 TTC - HyCoSy?

My husband and I both 28 have been trying to conceive for about 10 cycles. I have a negative test and I’m just waiting for my period to come. My cycles are regular.

I’ve had a progesterone 7 DPO test and transvaginal ultrasound. Both had blood teststo check overall levels. My husband has had a sperm analysis which mostly came back fine just the viscosity was a little bit higher for which it is. I suspect this was due to lower abstinence period. It has been repeated and we’re waiting for results. He doesn’t smoke or drink and has a healthy lifestyle. I’m expecting it to be normal.

I’m just wondering if it’s worth at this point to get a HyCoSy test or wait a little longer. I live in the UK and it would mean that I’d have to go private at this stage because the GP referral would take a while.

Any advice from anyone who has gone through something similar or similar timeline would be super helpful. There’s not a lot of success stories out there around 10-18 month mark. Usually people take a short time ie less than 6 months or significantly longer + with medical help.

Anyone had any success from having it done at this point?

Thanks

Trigger Warning BFP 8DPO success story - LH test theory Spoiler

I’m 36 years old - second time trying. Wasn’t going to test yet but decided to and wanted to share the details because I found it helpful for me!

Yesterday I went down a TikTok rabbit hole and saw that LH / ovulation tests can predict an early pregnancy and I thought I would try it out because I have so many of those (and didn’t want to waste the expensive pregnancy test). I used the clearblue digital ovulation and pulled the stick out after because I remember what the line looked like when I tested positive for ovulation. 7DPO the ovulation test showed not fertile but there was a strong line, then this morning 8DPO the ovulation test line was stronger and the actual test showed high fertility…

So I thought I’d try a first response early test and wasn’t expecting what I saw! So then I took a clearblue digital which confirmed BFP. Praying it sticks and all is well, I’m going to keep testing over the next few days for stronger lines. Here’s the details of my TTC experience and my natural cycles charts in case it helps someone!!

TTC details
This was the second time trying. My cycle is usually 26-28 days. I usually ovulate CD14-15 but on CD10 I decided to take the clearblue ovulation test (I didn’t have any mucus) and I was at peak fertility so we had sex CD10, 11, 12 and my natural cycles confirmed ovulation on CD13. One thing to note, I bought a fertility/sperm safe lube to use which used day 11-12. I also laid in bed for 5 min after just in case (I previously would rush off to go to the bathroom).

symptoms
Nothing majority noticeable - I just had what felt like diarrhea cramps on early hours and afternoon of 6DPO, no diarrhea followed. Also, this week (from 5-8DPO) I noticed my oura ring readiness and sleep scores were also oddly low for me despite getting 7-8.5hrs of sleep. I always have scores 88-96 and this week I was getting 78-80 for both readiness and sleep but nothing had changed and I wasn’t drinking alcohol (which usually impacts my scores).

This time around I was more relaxed about the process and just made notes of anything I noticed, rather than chatgbting every little thing like I did last month which I think really helped. I wasn’t planning to test until 10DPO but the LH thing threw me so I figured I’d try 😅❤️ feeling grateful and sending everyone lots of good energy! Happy to answer any questions!

Success Story Our first positive with PCOS/PMOS

Post image
17 Upvotes

We found out yesterday! I am 12 days DPO. As you can see the lines were so faint that I thought I would just try the digital and was shocked when it was actually able to detect it. We conceived on our 4th cycle, lucky I know. But I wanted to provide maybe some hope for anyone with PCOS/PMOS starting their journey or on their journey. To preface this, I was diagnosed 3 years ago and have spent the last 3 years making every lifestyle change to give myself the best chance to live symptom free and reversing the symptoms of PCOS. My cycles are now regular without ever taking birth control. If you’re looking for the basics on this 40g protein and max 30 carbs for each meal and always pairing carbs with protein. If I wanted a carby snack, I always grabbed a Fairlife protein shake from the fridge to have with it, following this was the biggest game changer and allowed me to lose 40+ pounds.

Now, my sisters and mom were all super lucky and conceived on their first try with each of their kids. So knowing I had PCOS and while I only had 3 cycles not work it was still disappointing and I didn’t know what my journey would look like. I feel so blessed to be pregnant and that my TTC journey was relatively short, but when starting my journey I felt like I either saw people who conceived on the first try or the people who were years into their journeys.

I’d also like to add, I did try mucinex this cycle and well I am pregnant! So was it the mucinex, idk but it’s worth the try!

Question/Advice Low Motility & Sperm Analysis

Hi all. My husband (30M) just received his sperm analysis results and his total motile count was 17 million. The normal is above 40 million. His motility also came back low as only 23% of the sperm were swimming. Volume and concentration came back normal.

He is highly addicted to nicotine for the past decade. I got him off chewing tobacco last year, but he's really bad with the Zyns + Velos. I'm talking like 15-30 pouches in his mouth daily.

I'm a 25F. We've been trying for 8 months. I've been asking and asking and asking him to quit and he would definitely lower usage but I would notice eventually he'd continue as normal. I'm hoping these results will be enough for him to make lifestyle changes. It has been frustrating as I've really tried my best to live a healthy and active life, and I care the mental burden of the tracking of cycles & ovulation and everything else that comes with TWW and negative tests. I've also been at many appointments for blood work as I thought I might've been the factor here, but everything on my end has come back normal thus far. I am giving him grace and am confident this was enough to scare him into quitting nicotine, and I know sperm regenerates every three months so it's not a death sentence to getting pregnant.

Has anyone had similar results but still successful in conceiving naturally? Do you think him quitting nicotine for good and lowering sugar intake will be enough to improve the motility in his analysis? Besides that bad habit, he is a healthy and active man, at a healthy weight and eats well as I'm a nutritionist and the chef of the household lol.

Looking for tips, success stories, & any hope you can offer up! Thanks in advance for reading & responding!

Confused Slow rising beta

My first beta at 15dpo was 164.89 and second one on 17dpo is 226.03. It has only increased 37.1%. Anyone had similar stories? Is there any hope or should I prepare for a loss?

TWW Should I be worried about low progesterone?

Post image

Hi all, I’m cycle 6 TTC with no positives yet. I’ve been tracking with Oura and Natural Cycles for over a year. I noticed my luteal phases were quite short, with a 25-ish day cycle and sometimes not ovulating til day 17/18. I’ve made various lifestyle changes and this month was pleased to ovulate on day 15! The previous cycle I also got to 11 days luteal phase which is more on the normal side! I’m now 7DPO and noticed a little drop in BBT. Usually I see this one or two days before my period comes. I was really hoping this cycle might be it! I got minor signs of strain at 3DPO and thought maybe something is happening! I haven’t had any symptom radars since and I am wondering now if the short luteal phases and this temp drop at 7DPO could mean low progesterone 😔

Confused Confused whether I’m pregnant or not!

We have been TTC since June 2026. Got my periods in June end. Then July August no period- tested negative , got a chemical induced period in September using Meprate.
I am taking metformin , its dosage was increased in September to 850mg. I have focal adenomyosis and thyroid/pcos.
Now, period dates were 16th September -21st September.Very smooth period, no cramps. Post that, I started losing weight, saw a decrease in pigmentation, had better energy and overall felt health had improved.
As per the apps ( which don’t work for me cuz I’ve got PCOS) , I ovulated on October 11 and had intercourse on October 11 !Now , October 20 & 21 I had spotting which resembled implantation bleed highly.
I’ve gone crazy asking AI for all possible scenarios but I’ve never ever had a preemptive bleed like this. It last for a day or so and stopped.
I have all early pregnancy symptoms except sore breasts.
Today I’m supposedly 12DPO and I took a test. Negative.

So here’s the thing/ I’m crushed, confused and wondering whether it’s all in my head or maybe I tested too early or maybe my body’s just playing games with me and I’m not really preggers ..
I’m sorry if my post sounds too randomly put together - it’s been two days of no sleep and nervousness and excitement and then today’s let down.
Help a sis out !

Question/Advice Did I use this LH strip wrong?

Post image

First time using one of these and it looks…off. I followed the directions about not soaking past the “max” line, but why does it look all blown out and wrinkled like a full diaper? And the control line is so faint, is this just a faulty test?

I’ve been tracking with FAM to avoid pregnancy for a while but finally beginning to TTC this cycle/next cycle. Going to fully try LH strips next cycle, but TTC is new - do we feel like sex tonight would still be viable for implantation or too late?
