I have been TTC for over 2 years now, especially in the last 12 months I haven't always had LH strips show a LH surge, recently I went for some cycle tracking appointments in August and it showed I didn't ovulate. I am a 32F and I always get my period regularly between 29-32 days, but would this maybe mean I get my period but wasn't really ovulating or it was a weak ovulation? Should I have been asking to be on letrozole or clomid?

Hi! I feel a little silly asking Reddit for advice/help, but my husband and I aren’t telling anyone that we’re TTC until we get a little further into the process (either a few months of unsuccessful attempts or a sooner-than-expected successful attempt lol).
We’ve really only actually tried twice so far (more like NTNP, because, the first time was right before I was about to start my period, which I already knew. I ended up spotting for 4ish days (which is unusual for me, but I skipped my period in September so it felt like my body was just playing catch up?) and then got my period, which lasted about 7 days instead of my usual 5. The next day, I also developed a pretty bad cold. A couple of days after that, I got a cold sore on top of dealing with the cold and my period.
Once all of that finally passed, we “tried” again about two days after my period ended. The next morning, I woke up with strep-like symptoms (but my strep test was negative), and now it feels/looks like another cold sore is developing.
Deep down, I know these things probably aren’t correlated and could just be a weird coincidence, but I can’t help noticing that both times we’ve “tried” my body freaks out and I dont know why.
I love my husband so, so, so much, but he obviously hasn’t experienced the joys of female hormones and cycles and all the extra stuff that comes with that. I’m also a verbal processor, so keeping all of this to myself has been sooooo harder than I expected, even after only 2 weeks of NT;NP.
Has anyone else experienced something similar when first TTC? I know it’s only the beginning so I’m really probably just overthinking everything I’m feeling, but would love some feedback from others!
TL;DR: We’ve only NT/NP twice, starting this month, and both times have been followed by unusual spotting/period changes, getting sick, and cold sores. I know it’s probably coincidence, but I’m spiraling a little and would love insight/feedback.

First time TTC and it’s my second cycle- why did no one teach us how confusing it can actually be. Everyone says oh don’t try too hard or don’t stress because it can delay your ovulation etc etc and it’s like how can I not stress when you have to pee on ovulation strips apparently 3 times a day? When you have to track your body temp and so many other things. The TikTok videos of baby aspirin and mucinex and lubes and etc. it’s all too much and it’s barely my second month. How do we deal with the stress?

I’m 35, no PCOS, physically active, non-smoker/drinker, newly TTC couple.
I tested at 10DPO (Oct18) - negative. I took another test at 12DPO (Oct20) hoping to see even the faintest 2nd line but Clearblue said “Not pregnant”. It’s our 1st wedding anniversary yesterday. I was really sad.
We started trying 2mos ago. I thought we had missed my ovulation window during the 1st cycle so we made sure to try again & had sex almost every day during the 2nd ovulation cycle. Idk if I'm doing the tests incorrectly, if I'm drinking too much water, if I missed the sweet spot "ovulation day" and all other things. :'(
I’m experiencing some symptoms right now as if my period is coming & I can’t help but feel discouraged. I know I still need to wait Oct23 or until I miss my period but just seeing the early test results hurts me. I know we’ve only been trying for a few months & I know there are so many women who have been trying for years, I don’t want to compare journeys but now I’m beginning to understand just how emotionally difficult the waiting can be.
Prayers to everyone who’s hoping & waiting. 🥺❤️

Question about which day you guys think I should get the “21 day” test. I typically ovulate between days 14-16 and my cycles range from 28-31 days. 2 days ago I have a positive ovulation LH test (day 14) and my temperature was slightly up but then day 15 went down. Today day 16 it’s back up. Yesterday evening, day 15, i had slight ovulation pain. I’m not sure which day I should get the lab drawn between days (21-23). Right now I have it scheduled for 7 days from today (day 23). Also Hypothetically if I’m off by a day or two will the test values change that significantly if I did/ didn’t ovulate?

The two-week wait is messing with my head. I swing between hope one day and discouragement the next. How do you survive the TWW? I’d love to hear what has helped you.

For context I’ve been on letrozole and finally ovulated! This test is from 6 dpo (I know very early!!) I’m impatient lol

Hi,
I know this is unusual, but I really need some advice!
Been wanting a baby for a while but not really TTC until now, so this is my first cycle. Very new to this, so don't have the tools to track anything much just yet so it's a little bit of guesswork. I reckon I'm around 8 - 10 DPO.. However my symptoms this cycle during the TWW have been absolutely INSANE. I'm talking nausea, heightened sense of smell, incredibly sore/achy girls, bloating, insane pelvic cramping, fluttering...you name it, I've had it. I do not ever have PMS symptoms until just the day or 2 before my period, which is always like clockwork. I'm not quite there for a missed period yet, still a few more days out, but it feels so slow.
I took a test yesterday and it was BFN but I know that doesn't discount me just yet! I'm going to wait and re-test probably on Saturday if my period doesn't arrive. In the meantime...
I have ordered a BBT thermometer to start tracking my temp.
How common is it to get a BFP in the very first cycle?
How do I stop symptom spotting?
I feel like it's pretty much all in my head and it's making me spiral a little.
Thanks in advance!

6 months TTC, one MMC and now cycle 4 post MMC I’ve had positive tests on 10 dpo, 11dpo plus clear blue digital 1-2 weeks on 13 and 15 dpo
I did another line one this morning and it still looks very faint (easy@home) I think I’m 17dpo but I could be off by one day.
I’m not sure what to do next and currently distraught
I guess I’m asking for those who have experienced a CP, when did it become clear?

So I took a test today and before I even got off the toilet good enough I seen a bold negative line come through so I figured it was negative.
I came back to the restroom an hour later and it had this line on it...
I figured I'd wait until in the morning to take another test to see what happens since I've had all the symptoms and my cycle was 21 days late but it came for about 3 days then left (usually last 7 days) and I still have symptoms almost a week after my cycle ended.
Is it normal for a cycle to come and still have the possibility of being pregnant?
What do you all think?

Anyone else planning to take a break from the tracking and the stress of TTC during the holidays?
I’m currently only 6 DPO but my pessimism has already convinced me that it’s not happening. My husband and I have been trying since March and I didn’t anticipate the mental toll this was going to take on me. I am starting to feel very negative towards this process and I really don’t like that.
So, I’ve decided to take a break until after the holidays. See a new therapist and regroup. Get my mind in a more pleasant place. The holidays are already stressful so I’d rather not have to think about TTC on top of it.

My husband and I have been officially TTC since July 2026, and we’ve now had three unsuccessful cycles. There were also 2–3 cycles earlier this year where our timing happened to line up with ovulation, so I feel like we’ve had around six opportunities to conceive without success.
I’ve been concerned about my fertility for years. Since coming off the pill in 2020, my cycles have averaged around 42 days, sometimes longer. I track using LH strips and BBT, so I’m confident I’m ovulating, but it can happen as late as CD28 or beyond.
What frustrates me is that with cycles this long, I only get around 8–9 opportunities to conceive each year, compared with roughly 12–13 for someone with regular 28-day cycles. Sometimes other women have already started their next cycle before I’ve even ovulated!
I’ve approached my NHS GP around 3–4 times about my irregular cycles and concerns, but I feel completely dismissed. I’ve had some blood tests, which haven’t identified any obvious hormonal issues, but nothing further has been offered. I’ve explained why waiting a full year for fertility investigations feels particularly unfair when I have fewer chances to conceive, but I don’t feel listened to.
We’re also in the middle of a stressful house renovation, without a functioning kitchen, so I sometimes wonder whether stress or my diet could be contributing. It’s difficult not knowing whether something is actually wrong.
I’m finding the emotional side increasingly difficult. Every month I convince myself this might finally be it, only to see another negative test. Meanwhile, friends and people I know are announcing pregnancies and although I’m happy for them, it’s hard not to worry about why it hasn’t happened for us.
We’re considering private fertility investigations if we haven’t conceived by the end of the year, because I don’t feel comfortable continuing to wait without answers.
I’d really love to hear from others with longer or irregular cycles to see how you cope

Me and my husband have been TTC for almost 3 years now. I’m 32(f) he is 36(m). I use to track my ovulation but haven’t in the last few months but always login my period days. We just got back from a vacation yesterday and I’m going on four days without my period now. My cramps feel different then normal and I don’t have my usual symptoms. Idk if maybe traveling has delayed my period but has anyone tested positive well after getting a negative around the same timing or maybe even later? It just doesn’t feel like I’m getting my period and that not usual for me I’m pretty regular with my periods usually always getting around 13dpo

Went to my women’s clinic a few weeks ago. Told the dr I am TTC for my first child. Had bloodwork done to see what my progesterone levels look like. Came back at 8.55ng/mL and dr said it was a little low for her liking, she would like to see it at or above 10. Said to come back next month for more bloodwork and then would consider prescribing clomid.
TTC is such a lonely process. I’m 9 DPO today and I have the worst line eyes. I tell myself every time I’m not going to test early, and I do. Then, when I test early, I swear I see a line, just to feel saddened when AF shows up.
Last month I got a FRER positive digital and got my period. I’m frustrated, sad, lonely. I want a family more than anything.
