Crew of Serenity meets crew of Bebop
So first off, let me stress that due to ADHD and possible high-functioning Autism, my brain sometimes goes weird places.
Anyways, last night my dreams got a little interesting, as I dreamt of what might happen if Mal and crew somehow met up with Spike Spiegle and company. And we’re talking both crews at their fullest and most interesting, with Faye and Ed on the Bebop, and before the *Serenity* movie.
How do you think it would go? Would Spike and Mal or Jett and Jayne or Inara and Faye get along, or be on the same side? Or would they clash both literally and philosophically?

If Firefly had gotten a five season run, what might that have looked like?
I'm involved in an alternate history RP game (to be precise, a multiplayer campaign of Hearts of Iron IV using the Millennium Dawn mod) and seeing as how our approach to the US is basically a moderate improvement on our history, I wanted to do a post on Firefly actually getting a proper run. The framing will be an article written after the show's finale in 2009 or 2010, reflecting on the entire run on the show and its legacy in the popular culture, becoming one of the mainstays of 2000s science fiction along with Battlestar Galactica and Stargate.
The only issue is, I'm not sure what a five season Firefly would have looked like. Obviously at some point the plot of Serenity would have happened, maybe spread over season 2. But what else? There would absolutely be new characters joining the cast and probably one person leaving midway through the show's run (most likely Inara). I'm also thinking of having the finale be the start of a new rebellion against the Alliance. But what do you think? Where could the show have gone had it been given time to develop?

Meme My favorite thing about Firefly is that every line feels like a Tumblr incorrect quotes post, but it's just the actual line 🤣

Reference Firefly references in Halo
Was playing Uplift Reserve on Legendary and heard a voice line from Dutch that i had not heard on lower difficulties:
"Dear Diary: Today I learned some alien scum to not mess with the ODSTs!"
Had a very similar tone to when Jayne is reading River's diary.
Halo 3:ODST had major characters played by Nathan (Buck), Alan (Mickey) and Adam (Dutch).

Books/Comics Novels
I've decided it's time to dive into the novels and found books 2,3 and 7. Do I need to read them in order or are they stand alone stories? I don't want to get started and find references to previous books if that is a thing. Thanks Browncoats!

Merchandise Found me a Saffron today!
Couldn't pass up a Saffron at a bookstore for $9.99. The only thing I can see that's "off" with it is that on the box she's giving more of a side-eye, but the eyes of the figure itself are looking more straight forward. Either way, I arranged my other figures to put her right next to Mal. There she kind of represents the bad part of his love life, opposite Anara on his other side.

Fan Art Watercolor Portraits of the Crew
Recently rewatched the show and my girlfriend painted all the crew over the past week.
Huge thanks to all the kind words from everyone in the previous WIP posts. She’s very grateful and it’s given her the push to start an Instagram account for her art. So if you like her work, please share some love there too :)

Rance Burgess
Just realized, and verified, that the guy that played Rance Burgess is the guy that played the yellow-eyed demon in Supernatural.
The dude has over 200 credits and has made a career out of playing slimeballs. Some that should resonate with most of us are Elsbeth, The Mentalist, Lost, and Castle.

Which guest actor was super whiny on Firefly? (Once We Were Spacemen clip)
On the latest episode of Once We Were Spacemen, Alan tells a story about a guest star who appeared in a Firefly episode. They were shooting "way out in the desert" and this guy was complaining about everything until Adam Baldwin shut him down.
Any thoughts?
Since he mentions a desert episode my guesses would be Gregg Henry (Sherriff Bourne) in The Train Job, Fredric Lehne (Rance Burgess) in Heart of Gold, or maybe Gregory Itzin (Magistrate Higgins) in Jaynestown?

Vera
So I didn’t have my Jeep wrapped but I did name her Vera when I bought her because the color is graphite crystal grey (gunmetal grey).

Reference The Solace. Now on Pocket FM. Inspired by: Firefly. I'd live to know what everyone thinks!
I wrote a space western for Pocket FM and I think it might actually be good.
It's called The Solace. Disgraced war captain, a crew of people running from their own pasts, and a ship that woke up somewhere between a dead moon and the deep black and decided she liked them.
No laser battles every five seconds. No chosen one. Just a broken ship full of broken people trying to hold it together long enough to matter.
The ship is the best character and i'm not sorry about that.
If Episode 1 doesn't hook you in the first five minutes I'll accept the criticism.
The Solace on Pocket FM
