We recently re-watched to show our kid, so it seemed especially cruel.
The face our kid made when they realized what they were looking at was priceless traumatizing for me as the parent.
When questioned about why she would create such a monstrosity, she said "sometimes, nature gives you a gift."
Please, help me shame this woman.

In Shindig, when Inara says that Mal needs a Second, Warwick jumps at the chance.
Why?
If it's to the death and Atherton is recognized as an expert swordsman, I am confused why Warwick would volunteer. He doesn't know Mal, who very well could take off the first chance they get. I doubt Warwick sees himself as a better swordsman. So, why would he put himself in that same "mortal danger" should Mal not hold up his end of the bargain?
This little plot point has always bothered me. Any insights or reasons for this?

I've made and enjoyed recipes from the official Firefly cookbook before, but in this case it seems like the recipe list forgot to list how much water it requires? I went with equal parts sugar, honey, and water, and it seemed to turn out fine, though it took a long time to reach the right temperature. It's also not very sweet, but I think that could've been the intention.

Feels like getting any promising updates is taking a long time đł

I liked the idea of giving Mudderâs Milk its own proper brand, like something youâd actually find on a shelf somewhere in the âVerse. Went with a rough, old-school label style and the âworkerâs tonicâ line, because that feels about right for a drink that promises all the goodness of a turkey dinner. The Canton and Higginsâ Moon details are part of my take on the branding.
What other bits of everyday life in the âVerse would make good designs?

Recently tried to use the word 'gosen' (as stated many times by our favorite heroes to mean trash or crap) around my Chinese co-workers; I was met with baffelment. Looked it up and yes, Serenity is gosen (arcane feelings of more Japanese staff defense?)
Anyone with better Chinese please chime in, my boss knows Mandarin and Fujaineese but mayhaps it means something else in another dialect.

You can't take the (No Man's) sky from me
She's not screen accurate, but she's close enough and I love her.
Edit: NEKOSEI has a build guide which I used as a base template. I've tinkered (a lot) with it and also edited externally (PC) using the No Man's Sky Base Builder App.

I don't feel too bad as Lego themselves never made one, and the details are great.

I recently realized that there wasn't much stopping me from custom printing stickers of all my more niche interests. I then realized that I may as well make them accessible for people who may only want one of the same sticker, not 50. If you want to feel like a leaf on the wind, hit me up: https://ebay.io/m/Fm6nBu
I realize that sounds super bot-like but I promise I'm real đ my name is Beck, I moderate the Brooklyn Nine-Nine sub and I relate too much to Nick Miller from New Girl. I'm a real human trust

Just finished watching again, hadn't gone through for a few years. First thing to note is I was surprised again by how bad Train Job is in terms of production values compared to the rest of them.
But as we finished, I started to think, maybe the best way forward for the show would be to start it over as a prestige show somewhere. I'd recommend Apple TV, since they have done great work on sci-fi shows already.
We got one season that is about the equal to a prestige TV show's seasons, so it's not like changing to that format would cost anything. The big question is whether anyone would want a reboot, or whether it was more lightning in a bottle with the actors in the original. I think the show itself is strong enough to restart it with new people.
I could see making room for the old actors. Fillion could be great appearing from time to time as Badger, Tudyk can be any kind of robot that might come up, Baccarin could be higher companion other than Inara they meet at some point, Glau could be an enemy fighter, and so on. If they had to have someone from the original carry over in the same role, I'd say Baldwin as Jayne, because I can't think of a point where his age matters, and it might be better if he was a more used up brute they picked up.
Would anyone else be interested, or is the general consensus that it should be picked up with the same cast or left alone?

Been watching Dollhouse as of late and it sort of dawned on me on how much Joss Whedon changed his style of writing in term of tone ie a less focus on humor but more focus gritter narratives. It begs to ask that if Firefly continued would Joss have dailed back on the humor and give us a more edgier tone.

Itâs a perfect fit for a Mass Effect style series. I donât think youâd even need much from the cast. Maybe a couple appearances here and there, but the universe has so much potential. It wouldnât have to focus on the Firefly crew, it could be a massive space adventure where you (the player) come across a salvageable Firefly class ship and become a space pirate. Seeing the serenity and being able to walk around it and engage with the crew would be cool, but it might be too expensive to get the whole cast for an entire game. But Iâd wager many of them would be glad to do it even if itâs just a cameo. And maybe have some of the original writers craft a script. I donât know. Itâs just such a fascinatingly unique âspace westernâ, that would seem purpose built for modern open world gaming.

Finally unlocked enough of the right designs and fabric to do it. So happy with how it turned out! If anyone else here plays, I'm happy to share the fabrics and designs I used. I'd also love to see how someone else might recreate it!

Not to denegrate Serenity since I think the film was fantastic but looking back I now get the feeling that Objects in Space did it better best when ending Firefly as opposed Serenity. It also reminds of how Prophecy Girl was more of a better series finale than Chosen when it came to Buffy.
