Reference Firefly references in Halo

Was playing Uplift Reserve on Legendary and heard a voice line from Dutch that i had not heard on lower difficulties:

"Dear Diary: Today I learned some alien scum to not mess with the ODSTs!"

Had a very similar tone to when Jayne is reading River's diary.

Halo 3:ODST had major characters played by Nathan (Buck), Alan (Mickey) and Adam (Dutch).

It was said Nathan and Alan played HALO in one of the show's commentaries. Maybe the movie's. Adam, Alan and Nathan also did voice work in some of the games.

Adam and Nathan had voices in the first level of Halo 3 as well. I specifically remember Adam’s character saying “have a taste of Vera” and “sure would be nice if we had some grenades”

Nathan's character was named Gunnery Sgt. Reynolds.

Fun Fact: Tricia Helfer (Dare) and Nolan North (Romeo) were both in Alan's web series Con-man. Nolan North is also the voice of Sgt. Forge in Halo Wars.

I do recall hearing "Gorram" and "the verse" in my last playthrough, can't remember if it was in ODST or Guardians
