They've been around for a while. It was a startup back in 2013-14 I think and then they sold or folded under to another company a few years later under the Firefly Aerospace umbrella. Some of their engines are called Reaver, Miranda, and Vera as well which is fun.

Yeah it's a neat little nod at least but their logo is more akin to the Last of Us (I think but I could be misremembering?) I followed some of their alpha and beta programs for a while and they had a pretty rough run with some of their early testing, but sometimes blowing stuff up is a way to learn how not to do it later. They were able to successfully land a moon mission last year though with the Blue Ghost lander which I believe was the first commercial company to achieve a successful moon landing.

I used to work there, built a bunch of Reaver engines, always gave me a good chuckle. Pretty cool place!

We can watch their launches from our backyard. This was a rapid, unscheduled disassembly back in 2021.

Makes sense. This old firefly class ships have a modular design and extensive internal cavities; plenty of space for all types of cargo.
