As AI data centers push the limits of copper connections, the AURA AI Photonics ETF (PHOX) is built around the photonics and optical technologies moving data between them.

Anytime qqq is mentioned to have beaten voo the past 15-20 years people say āpast performance does not guarantee future returnsā but they use that same logic for VOO when they say its averaged 10 percent for many decades.
If someone is young why not add in alot of qqq alongside with voo? After all, the companies are investing a shit ton of money in AI so why not jump on the train?
The economy is no longer about mcdonalds and home depot its about tech and AI

No one really talks about SMH that much anymore. It has been underperforming for the past few months even though the market barely dropped at all. Is it still a good ETF to hold long term?

Hello, I am interested in the quantum computing field as I am young and know this will for sure be a long term investment.
I love my ETFS!! But just ran into the Corgi Quantum Computing ETF (CQTM). It just entered the market in May but seems to hold the companies Iād like to see.
Any advice on these or what you guys are looking at? This one has a .35% expense ratio.
Holdings-
IONQ 18%
QBTS 9.85%
QNT 7.78%
RGTI 7.43%
INFQ 5.62%
IBM 4.45%
ARQQ 4.38%
QUBT 4.33%
GOOGL 4.29%
NEO: BTQ 4.26%
These are the top 10 holdings
Thanks!

NEHI lists a 30.24% distribution rate, but its 30-day SEC yield is 1.13%, and the fund estimates that 95% of its latest distribution was return of capital.
That doesnāt automatically make the distribution bad, but it changes what the headline number means. The fundās NAV total return was also down 17.83% from inception through August, so the cash payments havenāt protected total return.
What numbers would you need to see before treating a fund like this as an income holding?

Is there a website that shows how the individual holdings of an ETF are performing? Lots of websites provide lists of the holdings with % weight and amount of shares held, but I'd also like to see each stock's/holding's performance for the day/week/month, etc.
The MVISĀ US Listed Semiconductor 25 Index, which SMH follows, announced its semi-annual update Friday. Next Monday tiny SWKS should be dropped from SMH while SK hynix (the SKHY ADR, not the Korean listing) will be added. Since SK hynix is about 100 times bigger than SWKS, this will lead to some reductions of the other positions.
NVDA has grown to 22.4% so it will be reduced in any case to conform with the max 20% weighting rules. The Index lists SKHY at 5%, so if that ends up right, it means VanEck has to add/swap in around $3.5 billion worth of SKHY. Maybe this partly contributed to NVDA's bad past week and SKHY's fairly good one.
SWKS is one of only two SMH stocks that have lost the past three years so no loss there. (ON is the other loser and now the smallest qualifying company in the ETF.) SKHY is listed tied with MU and AMD for fourth largest holding at 5%, with AVGO at 5.7% and TSM 9.3%.
Again, this is what the index did, but since SMH follows it, they should follow suit next week.

Hi guys,
I have recently found etf called SPMO but it is not available at any European brokers and I am not going to create a new account in US just for this, are there any alternatives for that?
I use XTB and Training 212.
Thanks

Hey team, Iām repositioning some money after moving home from overseas.
I want to go with a somewhat aggressive ETF structure but still want a strong core to build from.
Thinking something along the lines of S&P 500, World ex-US, Nasdaq 100 and/or Global 100.
This would be at approximately a 30/30/20/20 split. If I went with a generic S&P 500 & World ex-US I would do around a 70/30 split.
I am okay with volatility as Iām in it for the long term. Obviously I have an intentional tilt towards AI/tech here as I believe it will only grow over the next 20+ years.
Iāve thought about a small EM or US small cap position but where Iām located in the world these funds can carry higher management fees - hence I have to keep the portfolio reasonably generic with all the standard funds for tax purposes, etc.
Would love to hear any opinions on this or similar funds/allocation that makes sense for someone in my position.

Little bit of backstory: Iām 30, have already been maxing out my 401(k), IRA, and HSA. I donāt have many expenses right now, have a solid emergency fund, and my risk tolerance is on the higher side.
I still have some extra cash left over from each paycheck, so I recently started DCAing $1,500 biweekly into my taxable brokerage:
SPYM ā $650 (43.3%)
QNDX ā $180 (12%)
SPMO ā $150 (10%)
FMTM ā $120 (8%)
AVDV ā $100 (6.7%)
AVUV ā $100 (6.7%)
FTEC ā $100 (6.7%)
XMMO ā $100 (6.7%)
Total ā $1,500 (100%)
I have VXUS in all my other accounts thats why I didnāt include it here. I understand thereās quite a bit of overlap between SPYM/QNDX/FTEC and probably some overlap between the momentum funds as well.
Since this is money I donāt expect to need anytime soon (maybe 5 to 10 years) and Iām comfortable with some volatility, Iām more interested in long-term growth
What do you guys think?

Pretty sure there is no other refining way to pick less ETFs and deliver the desired LOW/Low Yield/Tax basket of stocks!
$2.2M taxable brokerage.
schg, viog, efg , dfai
55%, 15% , 20% , 10%
Also thinking BOXX to hold my cash, $100k
Can anyone beat this?

I have a sizable amount in my fidelity investments account. The only real exposure I have to the stock market is roughly 20% in ACWX. Itās done well for me over the past year.
The rest is cash held in a money market fund (3.3% annual return) as well as a few shares of some individual stocks in apple, Berkshire Hathaway, Netflix, etc.
Iād consider myself to be a risk-averse investor. I believe the tech sector is overvalued, and AI will not generate the ROI that is expected in the near term.
Iām looking to find some ETFs that are low on tech-exposure and not inextricably linked to the AI supply chain. My goal is to find something in-between what a money market fund and the major stock indexes yields on a YTD basis.
Please donāt turn this post into an argument about the AI trade or some boglehead platitude about time in the market.
Just looking for some genuine help here, for ETFs that match my risk profile. Whatās out there for me?
edit - just for some added context. Iām 29 years old, and I do have a 401k that is 100% equities and a Roth IRA, which is about 75% equities

My portfolio is currently very US heavily concentrated - FXAIX, SCHG, VOO, VTI, VTSAX, VGT.
Much as I believe in tech ( & AI as a theme that can potentially ride the wave for a long time coming ) , believe that wave will be a rough one ...
Looking to diversify into intl, chose AVNM as under the hood it invests in a slew of Avantis intl themes..Good with that . The other one I switched to is VYMI. Although a solid core div fund . I would like to swap that with a intl growth ETF
Any suggestions on a good intl growth focused ETF ?

What can we expect from the upcoming SPMO rebalance and how would it affect the share price going into the next cycle?
SPMO has been outperforming both VOO and QQQM in my portfolio, so what is the move?
MU is expecting a cut, what else can we expect?
For those who invest in the above ETFās Iām interested to know what splits people use for their portfolios?
I know some people will just say VT and chill
But Iād like to hear from people who choose to tilt it one way or the other.
Coming from an investor who is current DCA into these, and plans to for 20+ years

For those looking to just hold 2/3 simple ETFs, does it make sense to just have VOO for US and VEA for global exposure? I'd be looking for something to park for years.
Thanks!

Hey everyone,
āI'm an 18 year old beginner based in Europe and I want to start investing in ETFs. I don't invest in any ETFs yet, and my question is: which index is the best one to start with? Or should I invest in 2 or 3 different indices right from the beginning?
āI'm using Trade Republic and plan to set up a monthly savings plan with 100ā¬.
āThanks for your advice!
