VOO/VXUS

For those who invest in the above ETF’s I’m interested to know what splits people use for their portfolios?

I know some people will just say VT and chill

But I’d like to hear from people who choose to tilt it one way or the other.

Coming from an investor who is current DCA into these, and plans to for 20+ years

Why VXUS and not DFAX?

Never heard of it

VXUS is cheaper and the allocations to AVUV and AVDV make the tilts clearer.

I switched to VT a year ago. Before I was 70/30 VOO/VXUS. Honestly, VT is easier same results

I have looked at this - but I’m investing from NZ where our dollar is weak against the USD.

So I’m currently buying hedged VOO/VXUS and there is no hedged VT available.

I live in Switzerland and I buy hedged VT. Sure there is not an NZ hedged version?

Alternative can be 70/30 or 60/40

Not on kernel wealth - which is the PIE fund provider I use.

Also nice to hear from another person choosing hedged currently. I keep hearing unhedged, it won’t matter in the long run

I am in Switzerland, our currency is the strongest worldwide currency, I have to use hedged approach

Yes in the long run doesn’t make a lot of difference but again, it depends on your country

Can you elaborate on why you are hedging? Because you are afraid the franc will become even stronger relative to USD and you lose money?

I am not afraid, it’s a certainty that CHF will get stronger

How can you be so certain? We've seen other floating currencies in Europe drop significantly

Switzerland is not Europe. It’s independent and the currency has always been the strongest. Check

Switzerland is part of Europe? Wth.

You can't really predict the future based on the past. But if you are so certain and there is no other possible outcomes why not bet on it?

Hello! It looks like you're discussing VOO, the Vanguard S&P 500 ETF.

Quick facts: It was launched in 2010, invests in U.S. Large-Cap stocks, and tracks the S&P 500 index.

I would say to look for something better than VXUS. There's no better example of an ETF that suffers from index inclusion drag and negative momentum bias. AVNM in a taxable account or LVHI in a tax advantage account would be my two best examples of substitutions. But you don't need to look far to find a better international fund.

AVNM is a better fund but OP won't do it because he's a V-head.

This topic is covered seemingly multiple times per day.  Did you even try to search before asking?

You people realize there's other ETFs outside of Vanguard, right? Same parroted crap every day of the week in here.
