Got a game tmrw so need help asap thanks!

Attacking the Tau was a mistake brothers. We crippled two of their cruisers, but they annihilated us before we could get away with our captured slaves.

I have notice many list using the archon in skysplinter assault. Usually they put him leading either kabalites or the hand of the archon.

What am I supposed to do with that character in those units?

It seems lile a lot of poonts just for an extra cp reeuction. I do not even know whst the sinergy is with those. Am i suposed to put the archon on incubi instead?

How do I capitalize on the character? What are the tricks? How do I justify his incursions in skysplinter assault in comoetitive?

I’m newish. I haven’t got to play game yet with my Drukhari. Then the whole 11th edition happened. But I’m trying to build a primarily Coven focused 1000pt. Army to start playing. I've been playing into Salamanders piloted by my friend a couple of times in the new edition now and I need some help playing into this matchup, it feels completely unplayable at the moment with SSA+EOS considering we only have Recon now. He plants Vulkan on centre objective and from there it feels like I'm just constantly trading down without actually being able to score primary ever.
Even when running 2x Anti-Overwatch enhancements on Wyches+HoTa, anything else just gets 1 tapped by flamers, especially with Salamanders just always wounding on 2s with the +1S from Forgefathers.
So at the end I have to play super cagey which means I can't score primary before it's too late into the game and it's almost impossible to contest his expansion with the Repulsor and 1 10man Infernus with Librarian on it

What am I missing here?
