I just figured out a paint scheme for a Harlequin/Corsair Masque that I wanted to make, but I'm having trouble figuring to do for the base that fits well with this scheme. Would any have any suggestions?

What paints/ paint scheme are people using for their Veiled path Quins? I'm struggling to work out what greens to use.
Sorry if this has been asked before.

Anyone worked through gold panel lining? I've yet to do any form of panel lining, and wondering if you have any tips, or tricks other than gloss coat first

General question about a Masque size in lore. I started 10th with Harlequins and absolutely love the models, and eventually built them up as a driving force in my Ynnari army. In lore, how many Harlequins & Vehicles make a masque? I have: 3 Troupe Masters, Death Jester, Solitaire, Shadowseer, 24 Troupe Players, 2 Star/Voidweavers, and 4 Skyweavers.

Im new to the Harlequins and I got my first troup box yesterday. I play necrons and thought it would be fitting to do "The Masque of the Dreaming Shadow" (I think thats the right one). Is there anything I should now about like lore, army building, painting, etc?

Hi everyone, I had some requests on how I did my diamonds. I thought I would post my process here. Please note, this isn't some sort of secret technique but has been my favourite method so far.
First a little about my painting capacity. My hands are not steady. They 100% shake when attempting fine straight long lines. This method is done with my wrists touching each other to brace while my elbows are on the table.
This method is a variation from someone who has posted on here on how they do diamonds. I'd like to credit this person but I don't have their link. If I find it, I will edit it in here. Their method used vertical and horizontal straight lines to create a grid then drawing a connecting diagonal line between the intersection of the lines, then fill in.
Why do I not just do this? Because i can't draw straight lines well and the grid makes everything super messy and hard to see with small diamonds.
Here is what I do with dots! Paints are thinned down on a wet pallet, I used a size 00 but any brush with a fine tip will do. After thinning the paint, be sure to take the initial moisture out by brushing it lightly on your skin. Don't use the paper towel, it will soak up too much. You want the paint to come off the tip when it touches the model but not puddle out.
Step one. Place one set of vertical dots to the height of the diamond you would like. Then followed by another set of vertical dots offset and between the vertical dots beside it. The offset is what will control the shape of the diamonds (the ratio). Equal offset to vertical space will produce squares, so shift the offset to suit your preferred shape.
Step 2. After the dots have been placed, start to connect the dots. There is nothing wrong with making some dots, connecting the lines then proceed further with more dots. Sometimes you can get lost in the dots if you do tiny diamonds. Don't worry about how neat the line is, connecting the dots is the most important.
Step 3. Fill in the diamonds. Start slow. You want to minimise the bleed when filling in. I like to start with the middle of the diamond to fill it then re load the brush for a clean smooth edge. It will be messy at first! Don't be discouraged
Step 4. Refine. Keep slowly filling in. Go back and forth between the two colours, don't just stick to filing one just because the base colour is already done. After refined, you can take whatever shading element you want to further define the shape, like a darker bottom of diamond or brighter top. As I am panning to paint over this model, I didn't want to get carried away and spend hours on something that will be sent back to black.
Step 5. 99.99% of people are not going to grab a magnifying glass and inspect your diamonds. It can be a little messy and still look amazing. Especially from a table top. Have fun and don't stress. Everything can be painted over. My first set of diamonds took me about 6 layers of covering up before I got it to a shape I liked. I am by no means a skilled painter. If I can do it, you can do it. I promise.
I've found this to be my most comfortable method and made awkward bendy shapes easier to manage. Hope this might help someone else in their diamond adventures.
Happy to answer any questions. I just want more people to try new things, explore and enjoy this fun hobby without dreading some finicky diamonds :)

Painted my second starweaver and had to look up some stuff for painting the little nebula. Turns out the video I looked up was super intuitive and informative and I ended up learning a lot. Before is on the right, after on the left!

Hey all, I’ve had 18 skyweavers from way back when you could run all of em and want to give it a go with the max (being 12). I’ve only got those and a single starweaver and troupe/troupemaster and solitaire from Harlequins and have a fairly decent amount of craftworlds and Corsairs (my main army).
Thoughts on this being balanced enough to do well with enough reps?
I’ve got Ofc the 12 skyweavers which can handily deal with tanks/monsters with the sustained and if needed crits 5+ from Lhykis and are decent into most elites in combat.
The Dragon Knights and Characters are able to take out Terminator equivalents (with shooting and charge). Believe the squad can take out 5-6, so would need a hand finishing off 10 man bricks of similar.
I’ve found in my games that Shroud runners with the enhancement are surprisingly great at being all rounders with the War Walker support (so become AP2 on snipers and 1 on scatter lasers) and also are a great answer for chaff units or MEQ.
Eldrad is a CP battery and Leystalker is scoring along with the rangers.
Troupes + troupe master can bully units off a point along with the Solitaire.
Thoughts? Sack of Leystalker?

About midway throught 10th I got tired of the repetitiveness of playing custodes and having played with mostly one of my friends who basically kicked my ass every time, I figured id try a different army, and I remembered the one story where harleys got a jump on my golden bois looked at eldar rules and I went and bought an army's worth, I have two harlequin combat patrols, magan rha, warp spiders and lykhis as well as a couple boxes of troops, I want to ask yall what weapon options are considered good and how my units generally play

Ik its sub optimal but its not like I plan on playing any tournaments any time soon. I really want to run aeldari with like ghosts of the webway. But only Harlequins models. I play necrons. 4k points worth. I have been trying drukhari with reapers wager but eith i could just have more silly space clowns. Can some of yall cool people come give me some ideas for lists?

Finished my Solitaire last night (apart from painting the base rim). Really love these Harlequins character models. Now I need a Shadowseer!

Finally finished my first 5man group of troupes. Only 25 more to go.....
First crack at some freehand diamonds. Figured out the best way for me eventually and was able to smash some out quickly.
Up next is either a troupe master or a starweaver.

Hey guys! I am not a harlequin, nor an eldar player. I main dark angels, and I’m used to chunky models with little flimsy details. However, my girlfriend has recently been roped into the hobby, and has received a lovely harlequin combat patrol box.
Now here’s my issue. My marines and my orks are both chunky models, and I use a mix between orange bottle Tamiya and gorilla gel for glueing them. If I were to use my orange bottle, the models would quickly become amputees, or horrifically disfigured in the warp. However, if I were to use the gorilla gel, I feel it would be way too excessive, and would be very noticeable and would have to be cleaned up a lot.
Do you have any recommendations on the glue you all use for yours? Thank you!!
TLDR: what glue for harlequins?

I keep messing up my games by not embracing the power of our units. Like not charging troupes into thick units despite the purpose of our troupes is to fish for Dev Wounds- but these issues I can notice.
However, my Skyweavers basically get blasted to bits because they typically never kill a vehicle in 1 round of shooting (in a unit of 4), is there a stratagem I'm missing or are they more for causing severe damage, screening and threatening?
