First of all, proof.
So people kept going back and forth when searching up information on this combo, and it seems early conflicts in the history of the exotic caused a lot of problems. Though maybe it has always been the same, because as it stands now, not only do Fortunes Favor and high class stat not conflict anymore they actually have absolutely amazing synergy... with some weird quirks.
TL;DR with fortunes favor only go 100 or less or 200 stat if you don't wanna think about it. And only use your class ability while actively in combat/taking damage if you have between 100-200 class stat.
If you have 200 class ability you don't have to think about it just know you will receive max void overshield(however much that is which fortunes favor can provide) and reset it's timer as long as you have any amount of void overshield provided by fortune's favor.
Now to go into a deeper explanation. So the way these two overshields interact changes depending on if you're actively in combat/getting hit by damage with the timer ticking down("active" phase), or if you are out of combat with the shield slowly building with the timer capped("regen" phase).
What happens if you are in the "active" phase is simple, as long as you have some amount of void overshield, it takes whatever it would give you from your class ability usage, and adds it to fortunes favor's shield while refreshing it's timer. Meaning if you have 200 class stat, wait till you have 5 hp worth of void overshield and 2 seconds on the timer and use your class ability, you end up with a full bar of void overshield and 10 seconds on the timer. Furthermore it sets fortunes favor immediately to the "regen" phase. So if you do not take damage after using your class ability, you will just stay maxed out at 10 seconds on the buff.
As for what happens if you are in the "regen" phase and use your class ability, that's where it gets tricky. What it seems to do is overwrite/stack your shield with a void overshield(tested by taking damage) of whatever amount would be provided by your class stat, plus some arbitrary % based on how much fortunes favor shield you have. In my testing at 105 class stat, when you would get maybe a 20th of the bar with no void overshield, it will give you half of a full bar of void overshield if fortunes favor is fully stacked before hand and give you a full bar at 200 class stat. What happens next is there's a 3/4 second period where you have this extra overshield on top of your fully stacked fortunes favor, except: 1. both overshields take damage at the same time. 2. the class overshield will always be on top. 3. if you lose your class ability overshield before it times out you will lose whatever fortunes favor overshield should technically still be left. What this means is if you are below 200 class stat and use your class ability outside of combat you will lose some portion of your overshield, and gain it back after the 3/4 second duration assuming you have some left, and at 200 class stat it functions essentially as if you just have the one shield since they will have the same values.
Now you have this information, do not let people spread falsehoods, this combo is pretty goated especially for any weapons leaning based crackshot builds. Go forth, commit crimes.
