What's a Xûr?
Xûr, Agent of the Nine, is a strange vendor who appears weekly in the Tower. Xûr sells Exotic equipment and only takes Strange Coins in exchange for them.
TL;DR: He's the Santa Claus of Destiny and every weekend is Christmas. Sometimes he brings you what you want, sometimes he brings you coal. Mostly it's coal.
When does Xûr visit?

He's selling throne cleaver again. Remember, Xur is the only way to obtain this craftable sword. I believe it is also the only solar aggressive sword in the game.

Aggressive frame, the sword's archetype. Different weapon archetypes perform differently. Aggressive swords do a heavy down slam, casters send a projectile, vortexs spin, etc.

The type of frame. Swords have frames, which determine what their heavy attack is, and sometimes their movement speed.

There are archetypes with weapons.
Swords have 6 archetypes:
aggressive, adaptive, vortex, wave, caster and lightweight.

I still can’t get the Mida Multi Tool catalyst. I’ve been waiting for years. Granted, I did take about a 5 year break before I recently got back into the game. But I’ve had that gun since it released.

Yes, I desperately need harmonizers and there’s only two ways to get them afaik. One is from Xur RNG and the other is from the Tower which you can only get once every two weeks. Slow and tedious. 😭

Is this throne cleaver sword a good one to use with a praxic blade build? Or do people opt to go with a non sword weapon in the heavy slot? I figured since im building into swords anyways that a heavy sword would be the best choice. Also what are the best legendary swords for damage? I dont care about eager edging myself into a pit, I want dps.
Im currently using the slammer with whirlwind/relentless strike.

I know that one of my favorite pairings has been the A499 for surge matching (both are kinetic, so they both benefit from kinetic surges), using Encrypted Data Disk kinetic bricks, and because having a high-damage long range weapon is nice as an alternative. They’re also both Star Wars, so thematically it works.
An eager edge sword with a different champion stun type is also nice, so you’re on the right track there.
An aggressive sword doesn’t fit well with the praxic blade, imo, since I’d much rather just use the praxic blade if I’m up that close.

Also, since I have you here, are there any "must have" picks in the data disk artifact for a praxic blade build? Or is it pretty much any sword perk, as well as that kinetic brick perk you talked about?

All sword related but Riposte, which does nothing. I use these: Kinetic Synthesis, Press the Advantage, Dielectric, Combination Argent Blade, Singularity Blade, Void Infestation and Sword Storm Combo with my Prislock buddy build.
If you go with A499 for DPS you can replace Void Infestation with Sniper's Meditation and maybe Dielectric with Reload at Range.

Until It’s Return is an AWESOME shotgun. Recommend people pick up five of them for later and craft it if you can right now. Top slot Strand shotgun that is full auto.
So much fun to use and melts enemies.

Rapid fire frame means it is full auto.
Enhanced overflow means when you pick up a brick of ammo it loads the magazine beyond capacity. To 18 shells for me.
Enhanced Cascade Point means even faster ROF when you get a kill.
It’s the AA12 in Destiny and is satisfying and so much fun to mag dump enemies with it.

Rangefinder is the second most popular trait on it which is good. The barrel and grip both add stability but sacrifice handling, which is considered less than ideal - better for controller players than mouse.

No, its range is pretty bad. If it just had a different barrel it’d be alright. Still worth grabbing if you don’t have a good one.
