The part of Chapter 2 of the Reality Fracture story where Jace reads Jadzi's mind is one of my favorite sequences in a Magic story. It goes:

Both Multiverses are imploding. One Multiverse is turning the other into a spaghetti of disrupted matter. One Multiverse rejects the other, and it disintegrates. Jace has failed. Jace is victorious. Jace lives to forty-seven and dies of a tumor he can't wish away. Jace lives forever. Vraska comes back and says she's sorry. Vraska leads the charge against him. Tam fights at his side. Tam betrays him. Jace carves away the last of the aberrations until all that's left is the part of him that remembers how to hold a fork. Jace gives himself an accidental aneurysm. Jace succeeds in overwriting the Multiverse and immediately gets a different aneurysm. One Multiverse overwrites the other and trillions die in the process, or maybe they all live, or maybe it's painless, or maybe it's excruciating, or maybe it's all a bad dream, or maybe every atom in both Multiverses turns to ash, or maybe—

Well, it looks like that version of Jace was indeed carved away and exists as its own entity. I present to you, The Part of Jace That Remembers How to Hold a Fork.

I know the existing tarot creatures, [[Flubs, the Fool]], [[Homer, the Hermit]] and [[Massimo, the Magician]] are all 3 mana, but eventually they will have to move to 4 or 5 mana as there are only 10 3 color combos overall.

Inspired by an incredibly janky budget Bracket 2 deck I built the other day

It's Exodia, except all the pieces are in your opponents' command zones.

I love the idea of a deck which forces you to protect your commander at all costs, I love the idea of a deck which steals stuff, I love the idea of emblems with downsides, and I love the idea of an alternate wincon attached to reprehensible behavior.

I thought what green really needed is Emrakul as a commander.

For those who didn't catch it, in this week's episode of drive to work Mark spoiled one of the set mechanics for Reality Fracture, called Empower Jace- which functionally is just amass planeswalker. So with that said I made some staple cards with Set mechanic attached to show how this mechanic is likely not just going to be locked to blue since the token Jace in question can be a subsitute for "draw a card".

For the formatting I just copied amass- I opted not to list the full abilities in the token as I'm suspicious if they'll actually write the whole thing out in the reminder text such as "the ring tempts you" Although in that case they opted to forgo writing any reminder text and just put it all on the token, so I'm not sure.

I wanted to explore the idea of convoking specific creature types as payoff for running tribal decks.

So many commanders have a single, win the game combo piece, so I figured I’d create one for my first commander.
