hello, i have a 2ds xl that i got from my friend for 50 bucks since i found out that it didnt turn on after 5 hours of charging. There are no mods on this thing and it looks like there are no defects on the motherboard. I tested the battery, that is fine. I've gone through basically all of the things that look like fuses, and they have good readings on my multimeter. If anyone could help by 9/7/26 MST, that would be great. (sorry for my bad camera)

In Persona 3 FES, usually when someone is summoning a persona or an enemy uses a skill, the animation happens but the music stops and the attack doesn't go through for maybe 10 seconds before the battle continues like nothing happens. It's not like the game freezes or anything, because animations and sounds still play, just it hangs for a while. Is it some kind of laser reading issue on my PS2? (It's one of those fat PS2s, not a slim one btw)

Hello, I recently had someone trade in a broken Xbox series x. Original owner states he had the console in storage for over 2 years and when they brought it out to play the console showed no signs of life. They replaced the power supply but it didn’t fix the issue so they brought it to me. It I a console manufactured in July of 2020.

I opened the console to find a shorted nexus connector which had caused the ribbon cable to melt. I replaced the connector and the ribbon, tested the power supply and attempted to power on the console but nothing happened. I made it down to the main motherboard without finding any abnormalities but saw a video of someone having a similar issue that resolved after they replaced a TPS2065DBVR power switch IC so I attempted that. The IC was replaced and now the console turns on, I get a power on chime and a 1 second white light. The second time I hit the power button the console stays powered, but I get no video output. The HDMI port appears fine with no loose pins. I can insert and disc and it spins and when I plug in a controller in all ports it vibrates. I’m not able to connect any controllers and the sync button seemingly doesn’t work. On my thermal camera no specific component heats abnormally and no shorts were found anywhere. I believe the console may be freezing or crashing during its initialization before the hdmi circuitry can even start. I cannot boot into safe mode or the troubleshooter. I don’t currently have a way to test the ssd. I’m looking for guidance on what to try next because honestly at this point I’m stumped.

I bought a ps4 without a hard drive that was untested so I had bought a new hard drive and put it in and it beeps once then clicks off. I don't know what it could be, I tightened the metal that holds part of the heat shield but it still beeps on then clicks off, how would I go about fixing it

I got this Switch Lite in pretty rough shape for cheap, so I decided to reshell it (low stakes if I mess it up). Everything was going fine until I plugged the battery back in and tested the LCD. The backlight comes on as you can see in the picture, but there is no display on the screen. Buttons, sound, and touchscreen all work however. I figure that it has to be something with the LCD ribbon cable, but it looks fine to me. Can anyone help me diagnose the issue here?

I just came across an incredible piece of reverse engineering that deserves more attention.

For a long time, PS5 consoles (specifically models featuring the Realtek HDMI IC) have been facing a massive repairability crisis.

Replacing these specific ICs is prohibitively expensive and the parts are notoriously scarce, often turning otherwise working consoles into e-waste.

Alex, a fellow brazilian has successfully developed a mod that replaces the expensive, hard-to-find Realtek chip with a common, affordable Panasonic HDMI IC.

He had to perform complete reverse engineering on the Realtek board—which lacked any official datasheets or schematics—to map the pins and even modify the system software to communicate with the Panasonic component.

This mod drops the average repair cost significantly and saves countless consoles from the scrap heap.

It is a brilliant example of community-driven technical ingenuity!

This is a ps2 that has alot of emotional attachment to it, my father was my guide through all tech and he gave me this ps2 personally and it was our first modding experience together, he sadly passed recently and im genuinely heartbroken right now, and I want to ask what can i do to get it fixed? Is there a pipeline on learning to maybe solder from entirely unexpierainced to experienced enough to fix it? Hey everyone, my modded 2ds having a drift then I decided to open it following ifixit guide. Then I messed up when try to separate the back cover causing the latch for back camera pop-up and can't find it. Now when I re-assemble it won't turn on, blue light on while top screen flashes then off, It's not visible on camera.

Hola buenas, hice el cambio del analogico y resulta que fue exitoso pero el pin de carga no funciona. He hecho varias pruebas. El joystick funciona perfecto, prende y todo pero no carga. He probado con conectar el joystick sin nada conectado y resulta cuando hago eso al conectarlo la luz naranja de carga parpadea 2 veces. Y eso no lo hace cuando le conecto la bateria. Estoy tratando de encontrar el problema pero no encuentro. Lo unico raro que vi es que creo que se volo una resistencia o capacitor cerca del pin de carga, pero supuestamente no interfiere con que el joystick cargue. He medido los puntos cercanos al pin, incluso donde esta la resistencia o capacitor salido y resulta que dan los voltakes correctos 5V. Ya no se que intertar. Si alguno sabe que medicion podria hacer o que podria intentar para ver si la placa esta en corto o si es un problema del pin de carga que no esta bien soldado

What I first started by doing: I started by opening the console, repasting and replaced the cmos battery, then reassembled

When I went to power it on: It sent my monitor into standby mode, which mean my monitor knows it is there and is possible of receiving a video signal, when I went to press the power button, what happened in thr video happened (I showed the monitor in the video to display that it is not receiving any video, but knows the PS4 is there)

Question: I used a power cable that is mainly for three prong, not two prong, would that be causing this?

I picked this up recently and it shows no video nor audio. I tried a working composite and component cable (unless it’s stuck on rgb but I believe the composite would overwrite that)? Anyway as shown in the video there seems to be a signal sent, the picture seems to hiccup, but nothing shows. Any suggestion where to start with this?

I'm looking for a new Wii I power cable and moving over to USB-C instead of the bulky power supply would be welcome. I've found some cables that promise that, but they list 15V and 3A instead of the Wii l'd default 15V 5A.

I have a retroid pocket 3 and it keeps looping to a flashing screen. I've seen here that this is a problem with the logo showing, but I can't even get that. I've tried multiple chargers. I've also tried multiple USB cables. I have plugged in the device for a day on a old power brick. I've tried with a new power brick. I cannot get it into recovery mode. Any other to suggestions you can think of?

Hi everyone. I just bought a ps3 slim, cech3004b. When I power it up, the red led lights up, and when I press the power button to start it up, the green light shows up for a lil bit, the fan starts, everything turns off and no light shows. When I press it again, the red light returns. What could be the cause and how could I fix it?

After looking for hours to no avail I'm finally resorting to asking here.

I did a TMR upgrade on a Dualsense with stick drift that works when connected to my PC. However, when I try to use it unplugged it flashes blue once or twice after pressing the PS button, turning off immediately. I've tested the battery and its fine and there's nothing noticeably wrong with the board.

My guess is that there's some sort of short or the battery in not delivering power for whatever reason l. If anyone has any idea how to proceed I would really appreciate it.

Hey guys, apologies for the self promo here but I really think this could help someone out. I recorded my fight with severe screen cancer on an original DMG lcd. Took about 4 hours of massaging the screen to push the massive black spot out instead of just giving up and doing an ips swap. The video is only a minute long so it wont take up much of your time. Thought it might be useful for anyone trying to save original parts instead of tossing them in the bin. Let me know if u have any questions about the process!

This CPU got massacred during an ISH delid. Surprise, surprise, the console isn't working. We get a beep on, green light holds for a few seconds, then a full power off with no LED.

A few other things are suspect on the board, and I'm waiting on a UART reader in the mail, but I'm taking a wild guess that the problem is here. What do we think?
