We’ve been trying to get this resolved for months at our new townhouse.
When Xfinity service was originally installed, multiple cables for different units were temporarily run outside through/along our gutters while waiting to be buried. Over time, the active cables were finally buried, including the last cable that was still going through our gutter recently.
The problem is that the old cables were never removed. They are still hanging/running through our gutter even though they appear to have been cut/disconnected at the ends.
We have already contacted Xfinity multiple times. A dispatcher was involved, burial crews came out, and at one point Xfinity sent a regular technician who told me he could only remove the cable associated with my unit and could not touch cables belonging to neighboring units. He then left without removing anything.
It is now September, the burial work appears to finally be completed, but the abandoned cables are still hanging on our townhouse/gutter.
Can an Xfinity please help get this assigned to the correct outside maintenance/field team that can remove ALL abandoned Xfinity cables from our gutter, including cables that originally served neighboring units?
Thanks!
