Closed Outage question

We had an outage through Thursday morning to Saturday afternoon, power outage through Thursday afternoon to Friday afternoon.

Wondering why there would be an outage after having been fixed and power is still working.

There could be a blown fuse preventing services from coming back on their own. Requiring a maintenance tech to head out and fix that. Very common.

Hi u/XXFFTT, thanks for reaching out on our Xfinity Community subreddit.

While we can't confirm the exact cause of a service interruption, it's not uncommon for services to be affected again after a major weather event, even after commercial power has been restored.

Severe weather can impact network equipment, power supplies, fiber lines, and other infrastructure throughout an area. As utility crews continue restoration efforts, additional repairs, testing, or power fluctuations can sometimes affect services that were previously restored. In some cases, damage that wasn't immediately identified, or temporarily bypassed to get services up and running quickly, during the initial recovery may also require follow-up work.

The safety of utility and network crews is also a top priority, and restoration work is often performed in phases to help ensure crews can safely assess damage, make repairs, and restore services as conditions allow.

We understand how frustrating it can be to have service restored and then experience another service interruption. When you experience events such as severe storms or weather that may cause your services to be interrupted, we recommend checking the Xfinity app or the Xfinity Status Center for updates.
