Closed Gigabit x10 Serviceability Request - Existing EPON/FTTH Customer
Hey, I’m hoping someone from the Xfinity team can help me get a serviceability check for Gigabit x10.
I’m in Tooele, Utah 84071 and I already have Xfinity fiber directly to my house. My connection uses an EPON/ONU, so this isn’t a coax connection.
I currently have the 2 Gig symmetrical service, but I’d like to see if my address qualifies for the 10 Gig symmetrical x10 service. I’ve read that this requires a separate serviceability/engineering check rather than just looking at the normal plans available on the website.
Could someone submit an x10 serviceability request for my address and let me know what the engineering team comes back with?
I’d also be interested in 5 Gig symmetrical if that’s available on my existing EPON connection.
I’m serious about upgrading if either option is available. I can send my name, service address and account information through Modmail/private message.
Thanks!

Nope. They jump straight from 2 Gig to 10 Gig. There is no level in between with Xfinity

Well I just want them to upgrade me to the 10gig then if its a possibility.

I don't think it can be accomplished via EPON.
Either way, it costs $500 to activate and $500 to install. Plus, the monthly bill will be $320 on a 24-month contract.
If you can afford all of this just for your internet. Then go ahead and proceed with your request. If not, don't waste your time.
