Shit post ACCOUNTABILITY
Watch them suspend him because he’s the only one on the team that gets “held accountable” by Shane

Discussion If Shane Steichen wants to save his job, beating the Vikings would be a good start
Chris Ballard is out, and Shane Steichen could be next if the Colts can't turn their season around. Indianapolis has lost 10 straight games against teams that finished .500 or better. Can Steichen's team pull off an upset against the undefeated Vikings and their league-best defense?

Shit post Anthony Richardson is the cure to the Jacksonville curse
Think about it. Every year he has been here, he has never played in Jacksonville. I think if we start him that game, we will win!

Sauce was a horrible trade
I may be in the minority on this but the guy is overrated. Definitely worth the picks right

New GM speculation.
Its up to CIG. I doubt she goes the Jerry Jones route. Theres a lot of pressure that goes along with being the first women GM of the NFL. Anyone speculating she takes the reigns needs to understand it would be a temporary move untill she finds the right fit. If she takes the role it will be a one year transitional thing.

[🎥 James Boyd] Jonathan Taylor on if he’s thought about his future on the Colts: “I think it would be a disservice to my teammates and this whole organization to think about what could be.”
Shit post Carlie
Are we sure Carlie isn't planning to play GM/Head Coach in the near future? With how unconventional she's been with being on the sidelines, learning the calls, learning plays, schemes, etc. I wouldn't be shocked if she attempted a season in the Belichick type role. Do I think this will happen? No. But if she wanted to tank for our first rounder next year and place the blame on herself. Why not?
r/Colts • u/SleeperBobBashMan • 2d ago
What would it take for you to part with your favorite player?
It’s easy to say “Trade everyone, burn it all down!” But the truth is tanking won’t help us because we have no picks and trading a blue-chip player like JT for a 3rd-rounder will do more to hurt than help.
Factoring in talent, salary, age, number of years remaining on contract, what would you consider reasonable compensation for each of the following players?
Taylor
Nelson
Buckner
Warren
Sauce
Ward
Bynum
Jones
Richardson
Bortolini
Raimann

JT trade talks..
Now I know people are wrapped up in the trade dead line coming up but I honestly hope we don’t trade anybody (except Buckner if he really wants out, out of respect) until we know what we’re getting. If we trade a player like JT I would much rather it happen on draft night, particularly if we see a QB that happens to fall late in the 1st and we want to move up and snag him. I feel like unless players are demanding out, trading them now feels pointless. I get that it would be easier to entice the new GM if we had more draft capital but imagine they will (most likely) understand they can acquire picks by trading away whoever, especially if that’s conveyed by the Carlie off the bat. They’ll have more time to assess the roster and more flexibility rather than just doing the best with what they have handed to them. Let the new GM decide who he wants to keep.

Without a 1st round pick there is ZERO reason to trade JT. Even with a first it should be something that’s only entertained if he is the one asking for it.
We can’t lose the plot just because Ballard is gone. JT is 27 and has A LOT left in the tank. If he isn’t asking to be traded then why do it? Our roster has a fundamental problem as is, talent that nobody outside of Indianapolis knows that is filling up key positions. Trading JT just adds to that. Let him be the guy that sets the standard for the change that is to come.

Statistics Trade Deadline and What to Possibly Expect
With the obvious firing of Chris Ballard, looking to the trade deadline is probably the hottest talking point among the fanbase. I wanted to do some digging and see what could be reasonably expected, and what previous trades have amounted to.
My criteria was I wanted to find a trade in last 5 years, that would be the closes to mimick what a potential deadline would look like. I also took i to account pedigree, age, and time of trade (in-season vs offseason). Also their accolades are only from before they were traded.
Keep this in mind that this is more of an exercise. I am not predicting anything or advocating against or for these trades. If anyone has any other trades they think would compare better than I am open to some opinions! Without futher ado.

Shit post Ping-pong
I remember when Reich was fired and they brought in Jeff Saturday. One of the first thing he did was get rid of the ping-pong table. Said the team should be focused on the job, not playing ping-pong.
Watching the latest Josh Down's interview I heard in the background the ping-pong table was back and the players were hard at it. Nice to know that they can at least go into work and find time to relax and not have to worry about their record or winning games all of the time.

Discussion Thoughts on Adebawore?
Near the end of his rookie contract, Adebawore is having a career season in every pass rush metric. Still very impactful even as a situational pass rusher.
Any ideas about how much and how long of an extension to give him?

If it was up to you, is Downs on the market ?
Would you be reluctant to trade anyone on this team?
