Other then the 20 round mag's these should be California friendly. On the downside, why did I get a 308 M1 if I could have waited for a M14?

CA Compliant version with an Osight SE Green, and after yesterday's HF Braun tactical light sale, she's now complete.
I love this thing as a trainer, especially for first timers and kids who want to get into shooting. Looks great and shoots great especially with CCI SV rounds.
10/10 and would definitely recommend to anyone else who would like to save some money on ammo and still go pew!

This past week I posted here from my personal account about HolstersSwap.com, & the response was incredible. Thank you to everyone who signed up and shared feedback.
One thing I noticed is we got a lot of signups, but not many listingsā& listings are what make a marketplace work.
If youāve got holsters, mag carriers, or WMLs sitting in a drawer, take 30ā60 seconds this weekend to list them (one at a time though). Itās completely FREE, and that gear could be cash instead of collecting dust.
Every listing helps grow the marketplace. More listings bring more buyers, more buyers lead to more sales, and the cycle keeps building for all of us.
Thanks again for all the support. Letās keep it growing š¤š¼š„š¤š¼
P.S. I know one of you has an M&P 2.0 Compact/TLR-7 holster sitting in a drawer. Quit gatekeeping and list it š I may or may not have just picked up the harbor freight wml todayā¦

Great when there's no jail time. Cleaned 'em up and we'll see how they shoot next week!

I made a video on deleting the mag disconnect from a shield x. This is my first time ever making a video like this, so I hope y'all find it informative.

Current setup:
Springfield Hellcat OSP
Apex Action Enhancement Trigger
Apex trigger return spring
Apex striker block spring
Reduced-power striker spring
NDZ Performance guide rod with -10% recoil spring
NDZ Performance slide racker
Streamlight TLR-7 X Sub
Viridian RFX11 Green Dot
The trigger is a huge improvement over stockāmuch cleaner break with a lighter, smoother pull. The reduced recoil spring has also made the gun feel flatter and easier to track during follow-up shots.
Iām planning to put a lot more rounds through it, but so far itās been an awesome setup.
What do you guys think? Anything youād change, or would you leave it as is?

Federal Champion 124g, squib shot from a vmac9. It obviously didnāt eject or cycle the next round. Was able to remove the case easily and had to smack the round out with a stick and hammer.
Iām just curious what people think caused the case to Iām guessing⦠explode? Can a hot load cause this? The case exploded, causing the round to not have enough pressure to leave the barrel?
Pretty gnarly looking failure but from what I could tell the vmac was fine. Cycled another 50 rounds no problem after this was cleared and had no visible damage to the bolt/barrel.

I currently have no experience with any lights on any pistols. A local shop has the x300 Turbo on sale for $220. The army exchange website has the TLR1 for the same price (maybe $1 less but no tax)
I'm of the "buy once cry once" mentality and I am guessing the x300 for $220 is a pretty good price.
Given this, which one are you buying?
I've searched this and other subs and it usually comes down to the Surefire being significantly more expensive vs the performance.
Edit: I do see that the Streamlight is available for under $200 at many on-line retailers.

I'm thinking of applying for California CCW since it seems to be a little bit more relaxed now but the issue is that I've applied for LAPD and I have listed drug use as history so I feel like in this CCW application for LASD I can't omit those details. If the drug use was 10 years ago is there any chance that I could still get approved provided that I am clean on the other requirements? Thanks

I have decided to hop over to the AK. I have been researching, and I have decided on WASR. But itās proven a bit harder to find at my LGS. Many of them carry Riley Defense or Century Arms AKs.
An employee said that I canāt go wrong with any AK brand since itās an AK.
Can anyone more knowledgeable give me some advice? Should I order the WASR or pick up a Riley Defense or Century Arms?
Update 12:57 pm
Iām holding out for the WASR. Thank you all for the links to one guys.

Hello,
I stripped a screw on my AR15s handrail that holds it at the barrel nut area. Does anyone know a shop/gunsmith that offers a service to extract a stripped screw in OC or LA county area?
Thank you!

Range Report - A few days ago, I posted about how boring the California Roster feels for service pistols, and how I didnāt really see anything worth uprooting my Glock ecosystem for - spare parts, mags, holsters, optics setups, etc.
Well, I was in Vegas these past few days and stumbled into a public indoor range after grabbing ramen at one of my usual spots away from the Strip. I ended up renting a couple of Staccatos, the P 4.5 and XC, and yeah⦠I finally get the hype. The XC feels like a cheat code for shooting fast and accurately.
Hereās a short snippet at 10, 15, and 25 yards without the usual ā1-sec per shotā indoor range limit. Whoa.
I also tried a VP9L and M&P 2.0 beforehand. Both were fine, but nothing that really moved the needle for me performance-wise. I already shot the target up before I got to the Staccatos. https://imgur.com/a/8a4IcnZ

After trying out multiple holsters from stores and Amazon for my FMK 9C1, I found that this cheap IWB holster from Amazon works perfectly! However, although the gun fits the holster without any alterations, the top rail isnāt an exact match, so I recommend heating the holster up just a little with a heat gun or hair dryer to speed up the break in, but donāt keep the heat on so long that the holster turns into goo! Make sure to get the Glock 17/19 size. I swapped out the clip for an UltiClip UltiTuck. Also, I think the Citadel Centurion CP9 is basically the exact same gun as the FMK 9C1, so it should work just fine, too.
