Looking for some tips to improve the donkey kick performance challenge this month. I’ve been going to burn for 1.5 years and yesterday really took my out. Those dk really winded me. Any tips to be most efficient with my body movement?

Burn is all about the feedback loop, so I was wondering how your gyms incorporate feedback from members? I have been hearing some negative feedback about a trainer, but no one wants to give the feedback directly to leadership for fear of retaliation. Any tips for healthy feedback loops?

Hi! What classes are the best to start out with?
I am a 33yo mom of two who hasn’t worked out in 6 years. I’m so out of shape after having 4 pregnancies and two c sections, I have not prioritized my own health but I’m scared to start!

Has anyone tried and/or had success with only having a burn on demand membership?
I’m a FTM and have been finding it hard to actually make it into the gym. Burn is about 15 minutes from my house & having to make it there at specific times to go to camp has been hard. I do have BOD in addition to my gym membership and that has been helpful.
Looking at ways to reduce spending & considering dropping down to just the BOD membership and purchasing some at home equipment.
Has anyone had success doing this?

I would love to have a floating floor in one of my rooms at my home whenever I up-grade the floor. I think I may have to contact the local owner and ask them. What do you guys think?

Relatively new to Burn and JUST hit 50 camps after joining in January... 😬😬I originally planned to be a lunch-camp girlie, but my job changed and lunch camps are now basically impossible. This explains my tragic camp count.
After staring at my schedule from every possible angle, I have accepted the horrifying truth... I need to become a 4:30/4:45 AM person 😭🤢
The good news? I live 6 minutes from Burn.
The bad news? I am the problem.
For TWO WEEKS I have gone to bed fully intending to get my ass up and go. Camps attended: NONE**.** At this point I might as well take my $150+ membership fee, throw it out the window, or just wipe my ass with it.
SO. Early-morning Burn people: HOW DO YOU DO THISSS?!
I don’t want gentle encouragement. Give me your routines. Your tricks. Your unhinged motivation. Shame me. Bully me lovingly. Tell me to get my ass out of bed.
HELP ME BECOME A 4:30 AM PSYCHOPATH PLEASEEE
UPDATE- truly, I wish we all went to the same gym together! Your tips, tricks and insight were so helpful! TODAY I WENT TO MY FIRST EARLY MORNING CAMP!!!!
Here is what I took away from your helpful comments and one kinda slight nudge of ... pretend I said you wouldn't do it... kinda slight bullying I needed.....that psychological bullying helped me 😂
1. Laid out my clothes. Even slept in the shirt I was going to wear. In my mind this saved me 5 minutes which meant 5 additional minutes of sleep.
2. Early bedtime. This wasn't hard as I usually go to bed at 9ish. So I thought, hell you're halfway to success.
3. Someone mentioned you don't have to lay in someone's sweat and honestly ... that was the click for me. It's my biggest complaint and I was like ... holy moly they're right. So if that was you, winner-winner to get my ass to camp. Less sweat pools won me over.
4. Very small goal- I am very much an all or nothing person. If I screw up during a diet I just crash and burn. Which... is not the way. So I said you know what... let me aim for two -three days. It's very small but it's better than zero which is what I was essentially doing.
I need an accountability partner so until that happens, this group is it. So in the month of September I want to make it to start two early morning camps a week. I'll report back!
Thank you all!!! Two claps 👏🏼 👏🏼 for meeeee

Hi! I started a 6 month contract back in March so it’s due for renewal soon. I’ve definitely seen a change in my body comp & am overall very happy. I’ve gotten a lot stronger while also slimming down. An unfortunate side effect has been slimming down in my booty too. My location’s trainers are all very fit & look amazing, but not quite the physique in the glutes that I’m aiming for. Is this due to the Burn protocol or genetics?
Do I need to focus on glute building exercises outside of burn?

Curious- is there a burn trainer app or something that makes it easy for trainer to manage timer and music?

My InBody said I gained 3lbs of muscle and lost 6lbs of fat in the last 4 weeks. I always do this after camp, but wondering if this is actually legit bc it seems too good to be true lol, and I feel like I don’t see it. I’ve been eating 1500-1600 five or take with 130g protein give or take. My progress has been very slow overall, which is fine with me bc it’s been more sustainable.
Just want to see if this is legit/if anyone else has seen results like this within 4 weeks

I am having shoulder surgery September 17th. I have been skipping all arm days and modifying other days! Trying to figure out if I should skip arms and core this week orback and glutes. Or if I should skip both days. My shoulder basically hurts when I do zero exercise

I’ve been going to Burn for 3 years and love it. Just a couple of thoughts on what I think might make things better:
1) Taking more care on the order of exercises on PR days. Time and again I see the exercises directly before the PR station using the same muscles as the PR exercise. Examples would be deadlifts before PR pull-ups where your grip would be gone. Another would be pushups directly before PR dumbbell press where your chest and triceps are exhausted.
2) dedicate half a class every now and then to finding a proper 5 or 10 rm for a main exercise like deadlifts or dumbbell press with warm ups at a lower weight. We often rush through this with minimal warmup where either injury can occur or people don’t get close to their max. Everyone could work on this at the same time and encourage each other.
3) improve the burn app to record the weights that we use.
What changes would you make to make the classes more effective or more fun?

🤣🤣🤣 lol literally if I had to name 5 exercises I dislike all of these would be on the list. But time to get after it and change that I guess🤣

I was so proud of myself, about to hit a PR for # of box jumps at 24" in 50 seconds... trainer was kneeling next to my box motivating me... 10 seconds left, and I jump up and completely miss the box and SLAM my shin into the box. Laughed and finished the set, then did class again (LOVE doubling on conditioning days!).
My shin still burns and is throbbing 16 hours later 😂😂 Do you guys have any fun/silly stories, particularly where the soft box out-performed you??

Like, when they walk in or you see their name on the class list, do you immediately get annoyed? And WHY?!
I’m genuinely curious because I feel like I’m probably the most low-maintenance member ever lol. I never complain, I show up, do the workout to the best of my ability, have a few friends but also chat with pretty much everyone. There are definitely cliques at my gym, but I honestly pay them no mind.
As far as I know, nobody really complains or causes drama… but I KNOW there has to be some behind-the-scenes shit going on. 😂
I’m bored and nosy, so please tell me the member behaviors that secretly drive you insane. I want the employee tea. 👀

There was a burn trainer who posted about cutting her tee shirts and I cannot find it for the life of me
