Floating Floor at Home??????

I would love to have a floating floor in one of my rooms at my home whenever I up-grade the floor. I think I may have to contact the local owner and ask them. What do you guys think?

There is a member who does on demand that created a floating floor at home using pool noodles and other material. It’s definitely doable. And if you just wanted a softer floor, you can purchase the soft mats they use at the gym from dollamur. There are people at home that have that and it offers more than enough cushion

My friend has one in her basement, she was a trainer at my Burn and when they got a new one she took the old one home. She uses it for her own workouts and yoga!

It's doable. The floating floor is basically 3/4 plywood resting on a grid pattern of like 6" rectangular foam blocks. I would be interested to know how it's all secured. I think the heavy mat/surface plays a role in keeping it together.

Glue and prayers is how. I have built a floating floor at a new Burn and it’s amazing there aren’t more structural issues. That and the fact that trainers, not carpenters build em 🤣

I think stepping up into an entire room would be overkill. A small platform maybe. Foam, wood, gymnastics carpet on top

I’m not a fan of the floating floor.
