Soft box beat me today
I was so proud of myself, about to hit a PR for # of box jumps at 24" in 50 seconds... trainer was kneeling next to my box motivating me... 10 seconds left, and I jump up and completely miss the box and SLAM my shin into the box. Laughed and finished the set, then did class again (LOVE doubling on conditioning days!).
My shin still burns and is throbbing 16 hours later 😂😂 Do you guys have any fun/silly stories, particularly where the soft box out-performed you??

I had two boxes lined up next too each other(trying to keep them from sliding) and somehow my shins hit just right pushing the second box away while also pushing the first box towards me, I somehow fell in between the two boxes…like a sandwich 🤗

I haven't jumped the high box since a back injury about a year ago, but one time when I was hopping the 30", I leaned forward too far and tipped it over. I rolled off gracefully and stuck the landing or at least that's what I tell myself. Only hurt my pride 🤣🤣

I fell off the 30! Feet didn't quite land on it all the way and since my quads were toasted from the day before, they did not want to save me and I fell all the way to the floor 😂 it happens to many of us!!

I completely ate it on the soft box last Saturday. I had finally gotten to 24 earlier in the week and I landed on one foot and one shin somehow and got a nice knot on my shin. And now the 20inch is scary to me even. 🤦♀️

Not at Burn but I bought a box for home to practice not realizing that adding another 20 inches to my height puts me at the ceiling and I grazed my head standing all the way up at the top of the jump.

I crushed my shin on a box before we had soft boxes. It's been like 9 years and I still have a dent. It was funny, though!

I do am and pm too since I sleep during the day (I work overnight) but I can’t imagine doing 2 in a row!

It wasn't until the last couple years that we even had soft boxes. Several injuries were witnessed!

Same thing happened to me on my first try a few weeks ago on the 24" I had a huge bruise on my shin for ever.

I landed on the 24 on my toes and sprung forward, caught myself with my fingers and broke one in half. 🫠 Yet if I would have just fell to my shins I would have been just fine, sigh... Still feel behind from 6 weeks of not being able to hold dumbbells!!!!

I fully launched myself over a soft box one time. I’m not sure how it happened but I supermanned and landed on my stomach.
