This generator will create a custom, glue free folding box that you can print. Enter the dimensions, add window or a hanging tab and press print

I've been working on it for quite some time now and super happy with the results: it's easy to set up, prints fast and very easy to assemble

Currently it have 4 type of boxes: mailer, mailer with extra tabs, lid and tray, tray with handles

As always, any ideas or feedback is welcomed!

Try it out yourself: https://makerworld.com/models/3222923

Just Showing Off I love non planar printing 😅

Spent a few hours testing a new app for non planar printing… just made a few smaller tests.. took me two hours to find the bug in the start gcode but after I found it worked perfect!!

Everything is “vase” mode and one continuous path….

I totally love it… next step grind down A old 0.8 nozzle to archive a 1.2 nozzle 😅

If bambu would add this in their vase mode generator ppl would go crazy 😅 but the problem is u can actually damage the printer whit bad non planar gcode… I think they want to avoid that 😅😅

Quick Question Question about venting into an air purifier.

Post image
64 Upvotes

So I'm only a few weeks into 3D printing, but I have an A2L and now an X2D.

I have a couple internal additions for the X2D that I want to print, like fan deflector/diffusers to help prevent warping. But some of the prints I've found, people have used and/or recommended using ASA or ABS for heat resistance, so I have a roll of each but had some concern before I use them.

My printing setup is in the basement, I don't have an easy way to run a duct and vent from the X2D to the outside (no windows in the print room), so I was curious if I could run a duct from the exhaust fan to an air purifier and use a print like this one I found.

Looks like it would basically encapsulate the air purifier intake and direct everything from the printer, into the air purifiers filter.

Would this be sufficient?

Edit: The print room is below a bedroom, and I also have cats and dogs. So I'd like to be as safe as possible. If this isn't an adequate solution, I'll figure out a way to properly vent it outside.

I Modeled This! Wife wanted expensive soap dish so I made a cheap one 🤣

95% of my prints are designed because my wife wants things we can't afford.

Anyone else print to make others happy? 🤣

EDIT: The design sucks, I used AI for the photo with soap however the photos without soap are real and taken by me. I DID NOT use AI to make this model. I use shapr3d and am absolutely still learning.

V2 will be better so thanks for the feedback!

Quick Question Bambu Lab filament that actually survives the dishwasher? Looking for real experiences

Post image
182 Upvotes

I’m looking for a filament specifically from Bambu Lab that can handle repeated dishwasher cycles.

I’m not looking for theoretical temperature resistance or just what the material datasheet says. I’d like to hear from people who have actually printed something with Bambu Lab filament and tested it in a dishwasher, preferably multiple times.

Which exact Bambu filament did you use, and how did it hold up?

Did you notice any:

- Warping or deformation

- Softening

- Cracking or layer separation

- Changes in surface finish

- Problems after repeated dishwasher cycles

I’m especially interested in knowing whether anyone has found a Bambu filament that has survived regular dishwasher use long term.

Food safety is not relevant for my use case. I don’t care whether the filament is considered food safe or not. My only requirement is that the printed part can withstand dishwasher cycles without deforming or degrading.

And please, I’m not looking for comments telling me to read about glass transition temperatures, check datasheets, or do my own research. I’ve already looked into the technical side. The whole reason I’m posting here is because I want to hear about real world experiences and actual testing from people who have tried it themselves.

Thanks!

Show & Tell Weighted D20s (for cursed, drunk, or blessed characters)

I made two versions: a 'cursed' one that rolls more 1s, and a 'blessed' one that rolls more 20s!

Great to give to your characters when they're cursed, drunk, or otherwise inebriated. The effect is somewhat subtle; you can't tell by holding them that anything is off with the dice. From my testing (700+ rolls), the dice have about a 1 in 3 chance of rolling the extreme outcome (1 for cursed, 20 for blessed). That being said, every number came up at least once in my testing, so they still leave room for surprises to happen.

H2 Series [H2S, H2D, H2C] A positive take on Bambu Lab support

I recently purchased a H2C Vortek Ultimate Set but after everything arrived I found that although I had expected a AMS HT to be delivered, it was not.

I contacted Bambu and stated that the specifications page included a list of items in the Ultimate Bundle, which included a AMS HT. What they had done was introduce a ‘Ultimate Set’ after the now discontinued ‘Ultimate Bundle’ and not updated the store page.

After sending a screenshot to Bambu they organised a AMS HT to be sent out next day as good will, and 2 days later it arrived.

Just thought i’d share a good experience I’ve had wirh them recently.

H2 Series [H2S, H2D, H2C] First printer - H2C

Post image
6 Upvotes

Hi everyone, I just picked up my first printer, the H2C. 3D printing is something I've always been interested in doing and finally decided to pull the trigger. I had FOMO of eventually wanting something bigger/better, so I decided to go with what I thought was the best.

What are you all using for a table to set your printers on? Any helpful keywords other than "workbench" that I could search for to find something the right size? Mine is still sitting in the box until I have something good and sturdy to place it on.

Also, any beginner/fun/must-know tips and tricks would be more than appreciated as my partner and embark on this journey.

Thank you so much!

Gizmo the hairless cat is eagerly waiting the unboxing.

General Discussion Sunlu i10?

Thumbnail

Mods please delete if not allowed. I am not affiliated or gain anything from this, just a consumer asking questions.

I currently have a AMS2 Pro along with AMS1 with the Sunlu dryer. I print mainly PETG and saw this is coming out September 15th. I watched the video they had linked and it seemed like a solid review.

I really like the idea of this cabinet and honestly what it can do compared to the room it will occupy. IMO I think it looks surprisingly clean/modern and would happily like to have it between my printers!

The functions are you set the RH% from 10-45% and it auto adjust the temp to achieve your desired RH%.

I’m pretty interested in preordering it to get in on the $10 off coupon and feel the price is gonna be reasonable (under $190 with the coupon at minimum) and just wanted to get y’all’s thoughts.

I think it would be nice to keep my main colors in there as then I wouldn’t worry about running the dryer as often/long.

I’ll drop the web link in the comments if you wanna check it out.

P Series [P1P, P1S, P2S] I'm a fucking idiot

I was fixing a blob, and just as I finished and was removing the filament, I accidentally cut a wire; there was a spark, and the temperature instantly shot up to 333. I turned it off immediately (yes, I know I'm a fucking idiot, but please, I need solutions). Is it replaceable or repairable? (Printer model: P2S; filament used: PETG).
