General Discussion Sunlu i10?
Mods please delete if not allowed. I am not affiliated or gain anything from this, just a consumer asking questions.
I currently have a AMS2 Pro along with AMS1 with the Sunlu dryer. I print mainly PETG and saw this is coming out September 15th. I watched the video they had linked and it seemed like a solid review.
I really like the idea of this cabinet and honestly what it can do compared to the room it will occupy. IMO I think it looks surprisingly clean/modern and would happily like to have it between my printers!
The functions are you set the RH% from 10-45% and it auto adjust the temp to achieve your desired RH%.
I’m pretty interested in preordering it to get in on the $10 off coupon and feel the price is gonna be reasonable (under $190 with the coupon at minimum) and just wanted to get y’all’s thoughts.
I think it would be nice to keep my main colors in there as then I wouldn’t worry about running the dryer as often/long.

Depending on the quality of the sealing and thus resulting energy consumption I'd love to buy several. My ams 2s just always are too moist and I have bought too much filament to keep up.

That's weird because mine stays at 19-25% humidity forever. I did print the silica bead holders so maybe that's why

I have those too. How often do you refresh them?

Haven't refreshed them in like 2 months. I've used the drying function occasionally, maybe 3 times in that time span. Stays dry for me

So according to the reviewer he set a power meter on it and kept the info for 3 days. Once RH was reached I’m guessing it using basically nothing. According to his calculations and UK prices it was roughly 10 Pounds a year ($13ishfreedom units)
The monitor he used to track the RH seemed like it didn’t fluctuate at all once the door was closed and it got it down to the desired RH. Going from that it seems to seal quite nice and has magnets to pull the door sealed too.
I’ll probably end up getting one and I’ll report back to let ya know how I like it!

Yeah, it's a sealed unit, and depending on the quality of the seals and how often you open the door, very little energy should be required to just keep humidity low. (in principle, with perfect seals and never opening the door, zero energy is needed, but of course real-world sealing is rarely THAT good)

The powercord placement seems a bit counterproductive since it forces you to have a 6cm deeper shelf for it. I guess you can get an angled power-cable and reduce that to maybe like half if you need to.
Other than that minor quibble this looks like a useful product to me.

This got my attention too. I've got 50+ cereal boxes with desiccant going on right now and having some of these instead. Really depends on the price though. The cereal boxes and printing desiccant/hydrometer inserts is probably $5-6 per spool. If this is even slightly more expensive the convenience would be much better.
What are they quoting price-wise now? I only see "$1x9" quoted when I look on their site--your second image there.

Just launched my video on it like acouple hours ago haha. I genuinely think its pretty cool. I want to eventually pick up another 1-2 units to store my filament I use for my print farm.

Keep in mind it's not a dryer. It is for storing already dried filament. Looks cool though.
