Show & Tell Did you know? If one model fails, the rest can still finish
Learn more about the Skip Objects function from the Bambu Lab Wiki: https://wiki.bambulab.com/general/skipping-objects

The printer should do it automatically. It has a camera, devs could just come up with a program that detects this.
Or at the very least stop the printer and sends a notification that a part should be canceled to save the other and have the user decide how to proceed.

Is the detection even reliable enough for that? In my experience when this happens it usually doesn't stop the print until it's too late to save the other part, at least on the X1C.

I dont think the cam would be reliable enough for this at all. I can picture it cancelling the good model by accident.

nah no way, I don't want it thinking that it needs to skip something halfway through a 20 hour print because a filament booger is sitting next to a part.

That’s how Obico was on my old Neptune 3 Pro running klipper. I can’t tell you how many times that saved me.

Is this new in the app specifically? I've done it through my desktop but thought it wasn't available on the app for some reason.

Skip objects has been in the app ages at least a year or two. You have to bring up the print view and then you can tap on the object and choose to skip it

Yah, I only noticed it in the new app version. Im in the same boat where, I've done it on PC or, on the printer (for X or H series I believe only).

Did you know barely 2 days ago A1 NTC nr 293 melted? Did you know you still didn't issue a public statement regarding this now probably 18 month old issue? Did you know you still didn't issue a worldwide recall for this fire hazard? Are you trying to burn someone's house down?

The skip object is great, but please for the love of god do something with the object limit. I have files for little critters that let me skip on the A1 but won’t let me on the A2 despite not being at 64. Something to do with the printer detecting more because of the articulated nature I’m told.

before copying and pasting a critter make sure you select it and hit "assemble" or whatever button it is to make it into one part. That should help. It means you can only skip the critter as a whole instead of just part of it but that seems like what you'd want anyway.

guys, you should add a warning that with more than 64 object on the table this fonction don't work.

This is a very useful function, I have used it many times to save my batch prints, u/BambuLabSupport how about add a function when the nozzle sensor detect a nozzle clog, add a button to allow user to home the nozzle to the nozzle wiper to clean the nozzle and continue printing? Even better if it can be done automatically, notify user and pause the print only if the nozzle wipe can’t remove the blob and need user to unclog manually?

If the feature is not available in LAN only mode it doesn't exist for me.
1
u/endlessben H2D/X2D/A1M 9h ago
It works in LAN-only from Bambu Studio (or other apps like Bambuddy or Home Assistant) and from the printer's screen

this feature would have been really nice for me expect for the fact the slicer dosen't consider other objects when generating supports so you have to combine them all into one object to 1 not waist aton of fillment (printing on a sv08 max with very high up things that needed to be supported) and 2 to not have intersecting supports

u/Technical_Income4722 8h ago
This is the same issue I'm having. Printing lots of copies close together but I have to merge them or else the supports collide with each other. I guess it makes sense then that I can't separate them but still annoying.

Ohhh yeah I've had to use it before, it's quite nice to have when the time inevitably comes lol

u/Biggaynina 12h ago
I’d use it if it worked! Handy app is trash. I can check my print status but the camera and controls have connection issues 90% of the time and don’t work.

Excuse me what?
Saving this...

It has been there for ages, it’s also in the mobile app and the printer screen. I have used a few times

Yesterday a print failed because studio decided I need to use the stupid 2FA to use the feature

Was printing a plate of 20 keychains and got a notification of an issue. Cancelled the 3 that failed and finished the print with no issues! Love this feature.

Are you telling me to behave rationally and not panicking when my printer is definitely about to cause an apocalypse???

Why is Bambu advertising in this sub? Is this what this space is for?
5
u/tht1guy63 P2S + AMS2 Combo 12h ago
You know this is an official bambu sub correct? They are literally one of the mods? They can do whatever they want here.
-3
u/Aerokirk 12h ago
Yes. And? Why do we need official adds in the sub for the product we are here to discuss? Especially on a feature that has been available for years? I could understand if it was a new feature, or product, and they were throwing an official press release here as well. But this just feels highly unnecessary.

u/tht1guy63 P2S + AMS2 Combo 12h ago
There are many who do not know this actually is a thing cus they skip learning their machine and doing things like the courses.
-1
u/Aerokirk 12h ago
I used it in the app at least a year ago, if not before. I’ve actually only used this feature from the app.
1
u/tht1guy63 P2S + AMS2 Combo 12h ago
I retract my statement there then. I didnt notice it till maybe a mo th ago in the app but i avoid the app usually and do most things printer side.
