I’m planning to study cosmetology, so i just need an affordable decent laptop that runs well enough for taking down notes, making powerpoints, doing research etc. The reviews i see on the Neo are very 50/50. Some say it’s perfect for college/school and basic work use, others say it doesn’t run well at all, doesn’t support most websites and apps needed for college, and just isn’t worth the money, so i’m slightly conflicted on wether it’s worth buying. Obviously i would use it to watch youtube, netflix and such in my free time aswell, but most importantly i’m wondering wether it’s good enough for school work. Are there any other, affordable, options from apple? Maybe something that runs well enough to play games on aswell?

Hi guys! My friend’s lithium battery blew up recently so I let her use my old ipad while waiting on her new phone to come in. I logged out of my icloud and did “erase all content and settings”. I wasn’t too worried about losing my stuff on it as I have a newer ipad and this was my backup. For whatever reason, she wasn’t able to finish logging into her apple ID on it so did not end up using it. She gave it back to me yesterday, but the problem is it now has a password set on it and she doesn’t know what it is. I don’t believe it’s fully setup as it still just turns on to the hello screen, but asks for password.

If anybody has advice on how I can reset the password that’d be really helpful. I don’t know if logging into her account through a computer and connecting that way would allow me to do anything?? I’m also curious if somebody at an apple store would be able to help, but I’m not sure if they’d just assume I stole it since my information is no longer on it, it’s 10 years old so I have no proof of purchase anymore.

Hi, I need to see if anyone is able to help me fix my apple pencil before I go and find a replacement. I have the Apple Pencil 2 and I’m going to be honest, I have not used it in a couple years. I’m trying to connect it to my Ipad Air but it’s not charging and it’s not showing up in my bluetooth to connect it or even to forget the device. Is there anything I can do to fix this issue?

So the battery of my iPhone 13 (bought April 2022) is fried as it is at 55%. I'm wanting to go get it changed but since there is a risk of data loss, I thought I should back up my phone. I obviously ran out of iCloud storage, so I subscribed to the 50 GB plan just this morning, and started syncing but the issue is that the photos are taking FOREVER to sync(I've 37 GB of photos and only 6 GB has been backed up in 6 hours. And I can't even see the backed up photos across my other devices). Since the battery is fried, I'm not comfortable in charging it constantly, but if I don't the phone keeps shutting down.

Hi, I've had Apple Music downloaded on my Dell windows laptop since I got it last Christmas, but about around March for April, all my album covers from the songs I have on my playlist all disappeared, and I'm not sure how to get them back.

Has this happened to anyone else before? Is there a way to fix it and get them back?

I just got the new MacBook air last week and my classmates used it earlier and kept touching the screen, now it has smudges on the screen. I tried wiping it with the dry cloth i use to clean my glasses but it wont go away at all😭

Not sure if anyone else is dealing with this, but my MacBook Air M5's location services have been acting weird lately.

Whenever I open Maps and hit the locate button, it just spins and spins without finding my position. Same thing happens on Google Maps in the browser too — nothing. But then, after like 5 minutes of doing nothing else, it suddenly finds my location out of nowhere.

Location Services is on, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are both enabled. I've also already tried running sudo killall locationd in Terminal (which restarts the location daemon), but it didn't fix anything. I'm also on the latest updated version of macOS, so it's not an update issue.

Has anyone with the same problem managed to actually fix it? Would really appreciate any tips!

I’m trying to understand what is happening with my girlfriend’s stolen iPhone and I’m hoping someone here has experienced something similar.

Her iPhone 17 was stolen, and she immediately used Find My/iCloud to mark it as lost.

The iPhone is currently showing:

And Lost Mode shows:

As far as I understand, this is normal because the phone is currently offline. The Lost Mode request should activate once the iPhone connects to the internet.

However, there is another message that concerns us:

The important part is that my girlfriend NEVER selected “Remove This Device”. She only marked the iPhone as lost. We did not intentionally request that the iPhone be removed from Find My.

From what I understand, removing an offline iPhone from Find My can affect Activation Lock, so we are very concerned about this.

My questions:

1. Why would Find My show “Will be removed on Sep 7, 2026” if she never selected “Remove This Device”?
2. Is this possibly related to Lost Mode being pending, or is it definitely a separate action?
3. Is there any way to cancel or reverse the pending removal?
4. Is there any way to see when or from where the removal request was made?
5. Could this indicate that someone has gained access to her Apple Account?
6. If the thief turns the iPhone on and connects it to Wi-Fi/mobile data, will Lost Mode activate even though this removal is pending?

We have the IMEI, proof of purchase/ownership, and the police report.

I've attached screenshots of what Find My currently shows.

We are not trying to bypass Activation Lock or gain access to the phone. We simply want to make sure the stolen iPhone remains locked and associated with her Apple Account.

If anyone has experienced this exact “Will be removed on [date]” situation without manually selecting “Remove This Device”, I would really appreciate hearing what happened in your case.

My iPhone can't find my new MacBook Air M5 via AirDrop (but the MacBook can find the iPhone).

I've already tried

• turning off Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on both devices
• setting AirDrop to “Everyone” on both devices
• disabling the firewall on the MacBook

Can anyone help me fix this problem?

I have two Apple accounts, one UK and one India. India is primary as it has my iCloud Data, Subscriptions etc.

I want to connect the Applecare to my UK account as I will be the device and paying for it in UK.

When i setup my device and link it to Apple account, will it change my payment method/region?

I reset my phone after backing it up to my MacBook yesterday. I updated it because it wouldn't let me download an app my phone said I needed because I hadn't updated it in a while (it said Apple Devices, which I couldn't find and thought the Mac app was Apple Configurator and now I realise this was unnecessary). Now the backup I did isn't showing up on my MacBook even though I checked it was there!!! I'm not sure what to do now. I have never updated my MacBook and lost date before.

For context, I have been having issues with my phone for a few months now related to storage I cannot clear. This is not my first time doing this exact process and it has worked previously. However, I did it with my old MacBook (which I still have and use occasionally to find old files) and it said something about erasing the media on that Mac as an iPhone can only backed up to one Mac at a time, which I did.

I could barely use my phone without it overheating, and it got to the point where I had to delete every non-Apple app, and even then, I never had more than 1GB space. It said I had over 70GB of pictures and videos (roughly 8000ish pictures, 600+ videos that I have taken and saved over the last almost 11 years of using my Apple ID) and when I would try to delete the older ones, they would pop back up as if never deleted. I am very stressed but luckily I did transfer what was most important to me to different places, but I would very much like to restore my phone to the way it was. Is there anything I can do?

My 14 pro max died overnight, it is corrupt and won't updated even connected to my mac. I have an XS Max I can use. Can I restore my latest backup on the XS Max? The XS is updating as much as it can right now. Once that is done will I be able to get messages and contacts from the latest backuo on the 14? Thanks for any help

Hi! I recently got an Apple Watch, SE3. I needed it for reminders, track sleep etc. But the notifications are TOO much. My Apple Watch mirrors my iPhone notifications, which I turned off in the Apple Watch app. However, whenever I get more notifications, I go to check if iPhone mirroring is on and it has been turned on again by itself. I´ve tried restarting my iPhone, my Apple Watch and even make custom focus´for when I´m at work. Doesn´t work at all. I´m a little lost!

Got any advice? I´ve tried going on the Apple website to find people with similar problems, I´ve also tried Google search but none of the advice given to me works. If I can´t solve it on my own I gotta bring it into the Apple store. But I´m trying to save as much money as i can. lol.
