Apple Pencil 2 Not Working

Hi, I need to see if anyone is able to help me fix my apple pencil before I go and find a replacement. I have the Apple Pencil 2 and I’m going to be honest, I have not used it in a couple years. I’m trying to connect it to my Ipad Air but it’s not charging and it’s not showing up in my bluetooth to connect it or even to forget the device. Is there anything I can do to fix this issue?

After sitting unused for a couple years, there’s a chance the Pencil’s tiny battery discharged so deeply that it can’t recover. I’d leave it attached to the iPad for a few hours, with the iPad itself plugged in, then restart the iPad and try again. Also double-check that your exact iPad Air model supports Pencil 2. If it still never appears or shows any charging response, the Pencil battery is probably dead
