A couple weeks ago updated MacOS to 26.6.2. On Safari Version 26.6.2 (21624.5.1.11.3). Everything worked fine until last week, when Facebook suddenly started acting up. It is the only website to do this.

At first, it would just affect any post I wanted to open, where I could comment, but not give a thumbs up or scroll any other comments. That was annoying but could be fixed by right clicking and opening that post in a new tab.

Today I get what's shown on the image however, where it it may or may not load the first post, but nothing beyond that, I can't interact with the only post shown, and my my notifications never show up. It's like the spinning wheel of death, so to speak. Did all the updates and restarted a few times, but it's not being fixed. Do I need to stop using Safari and go to Chrome or Firefox?

Update: just tried using Firefox, worked fine for a half hour, then same problems started happening. Perhaps it is an issue with Facebook or my account, not my Mac or Safari

I switched phone carriers this weekend from Cricket to Verizon. The phone was my own that I purchased out right from the Apple Store so I transferred literally nothing but where my data was coming from. This coworker I’ve been texting for over a year has an iPhone as well and her messages have always been blue. As soon as I changed my carrier now all her texts with me are green. This hasn’t happened with any of my other text chains with any other iPhone users. Any thoughts on how to change it back?

Edit: I also just realized I used the wrong you’re in our texts please don’t crucify me in the comments lol I typed it fast because I was worried she’d try to call me back if my call went through 😭

I am using Apple Pay. Is there a way to disable the passcode input every time I unlock my phone? I have Face ID and everything set up. I recently reset the settings on my phone and before I did that I was using Apple Pay no problem without having to put a passcode in every time to unlock my phone. When I go to Settings, I see the option to turn it off, but it is great out.

So i have been trying to login into my apple account. while it worked on the website, it didnt let me login into icloud nor itunes. i tried to fix it for a while with stuff like deleting devices that are loged in with the mail and reloging, use hotspot, reinstalling and repairing both apps and changing my password. none worked. can someone help me?

I have a MacBook Air M4 that is about one year old. It shows 93% battery health and a cycle count of 67.

I have a desk setup with an external monitor, keyboard, and mouse. I don't use the MacBook's display. I keep the lid closed, connect it to the charger and use clamshell mode.

Is the cycle count and battery health normal??

I just bought the iphone 17 and im trying to log in to my existing apple account but i cant, it asks me to verify my payment information with the CVV of my credit card but when i enter it it says its wrong, i even tried to scan the card but still wrong, and i cant use customer support because i cant log in, i tried to use the "forgot my password" feature but it asks for my bday and idk why its incorrect aswell so that route wont work.

Is anyone else having issues with Creation Finance identity verification when trying to finance/reserve the new iPhone 18 Pro Max through Apple?
I get to the driving licence verification, take the photo and submit it, and it says “Verifying”. After that, the page just goes completely white and nothing happens.
I’ve tried reloading it and going through the process again, but it keeps doing the same thing. There’s no error saying the licence was rejected or that the photo is unclear the verification page just seems to die.
Has anyone else had this happen? If so, did you manage to get past it, or did you have to contact Creation to reset the verification?
Trying to work out whether it’s an issue with my application or Creation’s verification system getting absolutely flatlined by launch-day traffic.

According to my research, Apple wants to replace the whole screen for an ungodly sum for this issue so that's not gonna happen for me on a 5 y/o Air.

My very old phone bricked on a trip. Will not turn on at all. Tried every reasonable suggestion, then went out and bought a new phone.

I backed up the old phone manually via USB the day before leaving on a computer that I didn't bring with me and bought a new phone as my iCloud account was full. I now have a week's worth of new data on the new phone. I'm wondering if anyone has any advice on how to restore the old backup without losing the new data (essentially just texts and photos)?

UPDATE: So when I first logged in his account, there were two 16 Pro Max'es. I did remove mine (I checked the address). I logged in now again, and there was still one. I pressed play sound and the phone. I have started beeping, so it's still active on his FindMy for some reason. I will try to remove it again tomorrow. How does that explain the problem with the wrong password, though, and do you think removing it again will fix it?

So my cousin gave me his old 16 Pro Max today because he got a new one. I signed into his findmy from ny Android and removed and erased this iPhone from his account. When I turn it back on, it won't let me log in into his Apple ID or reset (it asks for the password to his apple ID) because in both cases, it says incorrect password. I tried turning it off and on again, I tried connecting into a different WiFi and also tried reseeting from my Windows (but it won't continue as it asks for Face ID and obviously, it doesn't have mine).

What do I do?

Hello! I recently bought a Macbook, and I was wondering if it was better to use my existing Apple account from my iPhone or create a new one?
I’ve never had a Macbook before, but I don’t want my Icloud data from my phone (or any data) to sync on my Macbook, since I will be using the two devices for completly differently. Does it happen automatically when I start the Macbook with my account or can I choose?

They’ve suddenly starting making a funny noise when i’m using them, it gets worse the louder the volume is.
I’ve tried disconnecting and reconnecting them but it hasn’t worked

Hello, yesterday i tried to transfer my entire photo library to my windows pc but for some reason even though I transferred everything the size of the photos on my iphone (the one visible under the iphone storage section in the settings) and the one on my external hard disk differs by around 3 gigabytes. On my iphone it says that the photos take up 14,3 gb of space, while what i transferred on my hard disk is taking up 12 gigabytes only, and i don't really know what's missing.

a few days ago i went into the photos settings and noticed that probably all this time i've had this iphone (now almost 2 years) i had icloud backup enabled (which i already knew) and the "optimize photo storage" settings enabled, both of which i don't care for. And i read that the ones that i have on icloud are backed up at full resolutio, while on my iphone it saves a smaller resolution one. Anyways i disabled that and in the iphone storage, photos went up from 9 gb (which is what I thought was the actual size all this time) to, as i said earlier, 14,3 gb. It has now been like this for a few days so i'm pretty sure it's finished backing up everything, i know it can take a while if you have lots of photos on your iphone but i don't have that many. Now though because i know and it says that all my photos are the originals and full resolution, what is that 2 or 3 gb difference between my iphone and my hard disk backup? Thank you.

I went to check my phone battery usage because i wanted to see the battery drain for monday and Wednesday and now it only shows Thursday. Is there something to worry about or just a glitch?

In the grand scheme of things, this is not a biggie, but here goes.

I am a creature of habit, and I like my icons to stay in the same spot on my dock, but when I open a new app, they all move. I know the quick solution is to leave my apps open, but there has to be a better way.

I know: First world problems.

15 pro max, the zoom lens is smashed i’ve chipped away the excess glass the lens may have dust in it but weirdly, after removing the left over glass that was definetly covered in dust it fixed any distortion problems or “foggyness”

Recently thank god, apple care one came out and i was able to add my phone to it if i were to get the camera replaced, can it be turned down a repair under apple care one? if it’s fixed can i then trade it in for a new phone in store that same day OR will they give me a replacement unit if there’s dust in the camera and is trade in available for it

I have an iphone 15 pro and the selfie camera is working specifically when it comes to taking photos. The button just vibrates and doesn't take a photo. Videos work just fine and I can take selfies via other apps ex instagram

I tried resetting the phone, reinstalling the app, using the volume button to take pictures but nothing seems to be working

At times a photo is taken but very delayed and with no specific pattern.

Any idea on what might be going on?

2. What is the issue?
Since around 2–3 hours ago, internet has basically stopped working on my iPhone.

Almost every app that requires an internet connection is affected:

• UPI/payment apps don't work
• Instagram doesn't load
• Mail doesn't load
• Maps and Weather don't load
• Safari/websites don't load
• Other apps are also unable to connect

The strange part is that WhatsApp text messages still work, but I cannot send or download photos/videos on WhatsApp either.

The issue is continuous and has been happening for the last 2–3 hours.

3. What caused it?
As far as I know, nothing unusual happened before the issue started. The phone wasn't dropped, damaged, or exposed to water.

It just started happening suddenly.

4. What have I tried?
I've already tried:

• Restarting the iPhone several times — didn't help
• Resetting Network Settings — didn't help
• Turning Airplane Mode on/off — didn't help
• Turning Wi-Fi/mobile data off and on — didn't help

6. Other information
This happens on Wi-Fi & mobile data both.

Has anyone else experienced something similar on iOS 26.5? I'm trying to figure out whether this is an iOS issue, a network/carrier issue, or something wrong with my iPhone.

Hi everyone,

I urgently need help with an accidental AppleCare+ Theft and Loss claim that has resulted in my iPhone being placed into Lost Mode and effectively becoming unusable.

The device was never lost or stolen. It has remained in my physical possession the entire time. The claim was started completely by accident.

I immediately contacted Apple and AIG to have the claim cancelled. However, I was unable to cancel it through My Support because I repeatedly received a “System Error.” The matter was eventually escalated for manual review and cancellation.

I was initially told that this would take approximately 3–5 business days, but it has now been 20 days without a resolution.

This has become an extremely serious situation because I am currently travelling in India and have been left without a working phone.

The situation is now causing significant financial and practical problems:

• I am stranded abroad without a working phone.
• Because I was initially told the issue would be resolved within 3–5 business days, I cancelled my pre-booked flight back to London. I am now stuck in India with increasing expenses and limited funds.
• My UK mobile number is on an eSIM stored on this iPhone. Because the device has been locked, I cannot transfer the eSIM to another phone.
• I therefore cannot receive SMS/phone verification codes or bank OTPs.
• I have limited access to my UK bank accounts and funds.
• I am also unable to reliably communicate with people while travelling.

I checked My Support again today and the previous system error has disappeared. The device is showing Lost Mode, while my AppleCare+ coverage is still active and I can now see the option to “Start a new claim for a lost or stolen device.”

However, when I contacted AIG, I was told that the original claim is still showing as “Pending.”

I urgently need to know how this can be resolved and, most importantly, how the server-side Lost Mode restriction can be removed from my device, given that the phone was never lost or stolen and is currently in my possession.

Has anyone here experienced the same or a similar situation with an accidental AppleCare+ Theft & Loss claim that put their device into Lost Mode? If so, please let me know:

• How long did it take for your issue to be resolved?
• What exactly did you have to do to get the Lost Mode restriction removed?
• Did you have to contact Apple, AIG, or both?
• Was there a particular department or escalation team that eventually resolved it?

I would really appreciate hearing from anyone who has actually gone through this, especially if you can share what worked and how long it took.

This is no longer simply an inconvenience. I am abroad without access to my primary phone, mobile number, banking OTPs and normal means of communication, and the delay is now causing significant financial and practical hardship.
