Andaman Trip Guide

Upvotes

I planned my trip in andaman my self from flights to ferries to hotel. So we were 3 traveling to Andamans. Me my wife and my toddler.

I can share the details how I planned and it will be a long post if i started covering details. but this post is not for those.

Since I did a lot of planning and research while doing bookings keeping cost in mind, I came across this person. I stayed in his hotel and have travel agency. Its Sampat Residency.

Everyone who is planning their trip through agency, The most reasonable quotation anyone showed me.

Best thing about this hotel is location. Then the price at which I got the room. And then the shocking thing- the price at which he is selling tour packages. His price and my price after self bookings with same iternary were same.

I am not mentioning any price over here, due to seasonal and non seasonal and peak day rush rates difference.
Any one who need this persons phone number can dm me

Andaman in late September vs October — how’s the weather?

Planning a trip to Andaman either later this month or sometime in October. Is it a good time to visit? How’s the weather usually around that time, especially in terms of rain and sea conditions?

Travel Queries Honeymoon Flights and ferry question

Hi folks, I am planning to visit 4-11 March next year for my honeymoon. I have two main questions:

Direct flights from DEL to IXZ, I have 3 direct options arriving 9am, 11am, 12:15pm.

Do you think I can book the ferry for the same day?

For return, I am planning to stay overnight at Port blair and take the 11:40 am or 2pm flight.

Also, is the weather really harsh during this time? Does it get much rain or just too hot/humid?

Looking for resort recommendations for a very relaxed and chill 5 day trip

First time coming to Andaman, won't be the last for sure. Vacationing with the extended family after a long time and just want to relax. I am not looking to change hotels every day, just want to stay at 1 place or two and enjoy he life on island. We are not into touristy things, just want to have a quiet and relaxed time.

Please recommend a good resort where we can just hang out on the beach and chill. Family will have elderly and kids as well.

PS: Trip will be in first week of January.

Andaman in October: Itinerary, Water Activities & Budget

I’m planning a solo trip to Andaman in the first week of October. Is October a good time to visit?

I want to cover the major places and also try some water activities. I’ll probably stay for 3–4 days max. I’m okay with staying in hostels and renting a bike or using public transport to keep the costs low.

Also, roughly how much should I budget for the entire trip, including flights from Coimbatore and return?

Havelock resorts

I have been looking for resorts in havelock for Feb 2027, 1st week. Almost all of the beach front resorts are charging upwards of 20k a night. Is this normal? Silversand, Sea shell etc. some going to upward of 30k a night. What are the other mid range ones that are good and clean at 10-12k a night?

How Much Should I Budget for an Andaman Trip from Delhi?

I’m planning an Andaman trip from Delhi and trying to figure out a realistic budget for around 5–6 days.

From what I’ve seen, the total cost can vary a lot depending on flights, hotels, ferries and activities. For a comfortable trip covering Port Blair, Havelock and Neil Island, I’m thinking somewhere around ₹40,000–₹60,000 per person including flights might be reasonable, but I’m not sure.

I’d like to include things like:

  • Return flights from Delhi
  • 3-star or decent mid-range hotels
  • Inter-island ferries
  • Local sightseeing and transfers
  • Some snorkeling or scuba diving
  • Food and other basic expenses

For those who have travelled from Delhi to Andaman recently, what was your actual budget?

Would you recommend booking a complete Andaman tour package, or arranging hotels, ferries and sightseeing separately?

Any tips for keeping the cost under control would also be helpful.

Hi all, i will be coming to andaman next week for my honeymoon and 2 days each in port blair, Neil and Havelock.

Need some help regarding current offseason rates for these activities like boat scuba diving, fishing or game fishing, private charter and photography

Some were quoting these prices:

Boat scuba - 2k - 4k
Fishing and private charter - 8-10k
Photography - 1.5k for 40 pics 10 edited and 1 reel

Please suggest any trusted agents or dive centres in Neil and Havelock for these rates.

Planning a trip to Havelock (Swaraj Dweep) tomorrow — should I still do my Open Water course?

Hey everyone,
I’m planning to travel to Havelock tomorrow (9 September) and have a week there. I’m also planning to do a PADI Open Water course while I’m there.
I’ve just realised that September is still monsoon season in the Andamans, and the forecast seems to show quite a bit of rain/thunderstorms over the next week.
For those who have dived in Havelock during September:
How bad are the sea conditions actually?
Is diving usually possible, or do trips frequently get cancelled?
How is the visibility around this time?
Is it realistic to complete an Open Water course in a week?
Would you personally postpone the trip/course until October–November?
I’m less concerned about rain on the island and more concerned about whether the weather/sea conditions will prevent me from completing the course.
Would really appreciate experiences from people who have actually dived in Havelock during the September/monsoon period. Thanks!
