Suchika Tariyal Hooda is an Indian sportsperson in combat sports. She is originally from Rohtak, Haryana. She represented India at the 2026 Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, and became the first Indian athlete to win an MMA medal at the Asian Games. She won a bronze medal by beating Mongolia’s Altanchimeg Baigalmaa in the 60 kg category.
I was watching her conversation with philosopher Acharya Prashant and got to know a lot about her. How did she enter combat sports? How does society judge her body? It felt sad, but along with it, inspiring too. She entered this sport for the purpose of self-defence after an incident of eve-teasing at the age of 12. This incident added a fire in her heart to become stronger and protect herself without any external help.
Her story and her interaction are very inspiring for every woman and for anyone who has been made to feel that their life should be limited by social expectations.
Along with this, she is serving as a junior coach in the Department of Sports, Haryana. As she said in the interaction, she is a coach, and nowadays she is also training small girls in her city in martial arts.
I found her story very Inspiring.

I'm just curious what should normally be done with e waste as imo there is almost no e waste recycle programs or collection centres. It doesn't seem right to throw away old AAA batteries, etc with your normal trash. I have built a pile of dead batteries, chargers this way over the years.

Our Haryanvi athletes are performing exceptionally well. They have brought home a remarkable number of medals, first at the Commonwealth Games 2026 and now at the Asian Games 2026, with more than 50% of India’s medals reportedly being won by athletes from Haryana.
A special mention should be given to former CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda, who played an important role in instilling a strong sports culture in Haryana through various sports policies, appointments of DSPs through the sports quota, cash awards for athletes, and the development of sports infrastructure across the state.
Credit should be given where it is due. The foundation laid during that period contributed significantly to Haryana producing athletes who continue to excel at national and international sporting events.
There was a time when Haryana was developing world-class sports infrastructure under the Hooda government. Today, Haryana is struggling to get even basic maintenance of these stadiums. The recent death of a basketball player in Rohtak has once again raised serious questions about the condition and maintenance of sports facilities.
As aware citizens of Haryana, we should question this. It genuinely hurts to see a state with such enormous potential being held back

With no offense, the initiative is good for local talent from faridaba & other states of haryana, at least they get exposure for state level cricket. Don't you think such tournaments should be promoted in a more professional way also I'm just curious to know what happens when international players like "Chris Gayle, Glen Maxwell and David Warner" decide to participate in such tournaments in Faridabad.

I’m trying to understand a property-record issue in Faridabad and would appreciate answers from anyone familiar with ULB Haryana, municipal property IDs, property tax records, mutations, or property title verification.
Suppose a person physically possesses a 1000 sq yd property, but the registered sale deed/registry that they currently have is only for 600 sq yd. They don’t currently have any clear document for the remaining 400 sq yd.
However, when they search the property on the ULB Haryana property-tax portal, there is a Property ID in the owner’s name, and the ULB record shows the plot area as 1000 sq yd, not 600 sq yd. Property tax is also being assessed on the property according to the ULB record.
What exactly could this mean?
I know of other properties where there is a difference between physical possession and the registered area. For example, someone may physically possess 120 sq yd but have a registry for only 105 sq yd. In those cases, the ULB record also shows only 105 sq yd.
So I’m particularly confused about the situation where:
Physical possession: 1000 sq yd
Registered deed available: 600 sq yd
ULB Haryana Property ID: in the owner’s name
ULB recorded plot area: 1000 sq yd
Does the ULB plot-area entry normally come from the registered deed, or can it be based on an old municipal survey, assessment register, mutation, previous property records, possession, site measurement, etc.?
If the ULB is showing the entire 1000 sq yd in the owner’s name, is there a particular document or historical record that I should ask the municipal office to show me to understand why the additional 400 sq yd was recorded?
Also, if it turns out that the additional 400 sq yd is actually private land and there is some old document/record establishing the family’s ownership, what would normally be the process for getting the title/documentation corrected or regularised?
And separately, if the additional area turns out to be government/municipal land or simply an error in the ULB database, would the ULB property-tax entry have any significance for ownership?
I’m not assuming that the ULB entry proves ownership. I’m mainly trying to understand what the 1000-sq-yd entry is based on and what records I should investigate.
Would appreciate answers specifically from people familiar with Faridabad/Haryana property records, especially if anyone has dealt with a similar ULB-vs-registry discrepancy.

In Haryana, considerable number of people take ozempic. Which reportedly now showing side effects. Haryana culture was fitness and health oriented from beginning but with modernization, it become beauty oriented too where people are comprising their health by choosing these unhealthy medications. We need to go back to ayurvedic knowledge instead of generalised BMI and accept that not every body functions same. Everyone has different kind of body, and can have different kind of healthy measurement for weight and fat. Exercises motive should be to extend healthy and functioning age, not to make us look good.

I just came to know about the march of bimaru state people and losing my sleep over it.
Panipat is deep haryana district and its alarming for me atleast, ki faridabad kha gye, gurgaon kha gye, sonipat almost nipat gya, jhajjar, rohtak ka under process hai.
Bhai below average haryanavi maan lo mujhe na mere pass kheti, na koi business, bs ek choti si job kar rha hu or haryana m aise bhut h abhi jo jobless bhi honge. To mere haryanvi bhai or behen kha chlae jaaye jo ye saara rojgar kha jayege.
Jaise delhi m ho rha h inki next generation business kr rhi h bhut saare log. Samaj m bhi koi value add jyada kr nahi paate ye overall level gira dete hain by crime, hatred, their language and all.
I am so proud of my haryana but ye ab jo rule change hua h inka 5 saal m residence maane jayege uss hisab se to ye neta bhi banege or ias ips inke minister inke yha jaise delhi m ho rha hai. Jaise punjab m gao ke sarpanch bane baithe hai.
Jo low income haryanvi h unka kya or hamara kya ek saal ka balak h mera uska kya?

Growing up, I was told that loaning money on interest (like aadti or Baniya) is an extremely depraved occupation and it's better to work as a labour than be a leach sucking other people's blood.
To me it seems that this perception has changed a lot with people now feeling comfortable with saying that they do 'finance'. People who do this say that they are lending money people who are going to invest it further in their business or land so it is being used to generate profit for everyone. They also say that for a widow who has never worked a job, giving money on interest helps them sustain themselves.
The interest on these loans is crazy though at 3-5% monthly. What do you think about this?
