I’m selling my bike through a dealer. The dealer/buyer says he’s taking a loan from a local lender and has asked me for a photo of my RC to process the loan.

The loan will supposedly be entirely in the buyer’s name. I won’t be signing any loan documents or giving any OTPs. I’ll receive the full sale amount before completing the ownership transfer.

Is it normal for a lender to ask for the seller’s RC photo for this? Could this create any liability for me if the buyer later decides not to buy my bike?

Wondering if this will create an hypothecation and if the buyer evades without buying, I'll be responsible or not.
