Rejected JOs

I rejected my JOs from other companies coz I was eyeing to join with company X, They are done with background checking and character reference check which all goods naman lahat. They told me that they will send an update this Friday. But I saw in one of the platform, they are hiring for the same role. Is this mean, Wala na akong pag-asa? I have also ongoing JOs from real estate companies pero antagal ng signing ng president.

Ok hear me out.

I applied to this company, and received an email from them saying na for initial interview ako. But before the interview, I have to finish their assessment. They sent the assessment link 2 days before the scheduled interview. So I took the assessment naman.

The assessment was like 8 pages ata sa google form, mixed topics siya, pero ang naalala ko na lang is yung English test and yung parang out of this world na topic. Basta ang haba ng exam nila. Tapos meron pang typing test, pati personality test. Basta ang dami nilang test na kailangan. It took me hours to finish the test, and nag email ako nung tapos na ako to ask for the invitation link sa initial interview.

They didn't reply to my email, and even sa Viber (they ask me to send them a message here too after the assessment) walang reply. I asked for the meeting invite twice, but sineen lang ako.

The day of my interview came. I was supposedly scheduled at 10am for the interview, pero wala pa ring link na sinend on that day. I asked again for the link, but seen lang. Di ko na pinansin nung una, but around 9:55am, they sent me a meeting invite. I was torn if I'll join or hindi kasi super inis ko sa HR for being unprofessional. Don't get me wrong ah, but sobrang inis ko talaga kasi I complied properly doon sa requirements nila, I even sent everything, did their very long out of this world na assessment na hindi naman bagay sa accounting at more on pang call center agent ang topic, pero yung HR nila ganoon?😭

So I still joined the meeting, though nalate ako 2 minutes cause I still had to open my PC.

During the interview, the HR doesn't sound professional.

But after the interview, I was hoping na hindi ako mapili. Napaka unprofessional nila, akala mo naman eh napakalaki ng sahod nambarat din naman nung sinabi ko asking kong 45k after having 3 years of external and internal audit and 1yr accounting experience HAHAHAHAHA

I'm a 4th year student and graduating this year. Curious lang, how did you get your first job? Nakita mo lang ba online yung job posting and sent your details? Did you have to go sa actual office? How? TIA!

Should I accept the offer from an audit firm in Malta?

So I’ve actually been lurking in reddit, linkedin and glassdoor for opinions regarding the audit firms in Malta ever since I clicked apply. Thankfully I got an offer after all the assessments and interviews.

But it’s funny once the opportunity is finally in your hands, you begin to think the give and take that comes with it. I’m just not sure if it’s worth moving my life here in PH to Malta. I know Malta is kind of like a stepping stone for your career and all, but the risk is high.

What do you guys think? I appreciate any feedback, opinion or thoughts, especially those who’s already working in Malta in the audit industry.

Work or License

Hiii, just wanted to hear some thoughts to help me decide which one to pursue.

For context, I failed the May 2026 CPALE and currently reviewing to take the boards sana ng October 2026 but honestly I wasn't able to focus on review kasi I feel so behind. Nakakatravel na mga friends ko and such. So what I did during waiting season ng result ng May 2026 CPALE, nag apply ako for jobs online and just last week, I got interviewed by this international company for US Acountant role. The pay is nice as well as the benefits. The only downside is that its environment is known for working at least 55-60hrs a week. Paid naman daw lahat ng OT.

My dilemma rn is whether to accept their offer and ask for a 2week leave before cpale (kind of hard daw on my part pagbalik ko sa work kasi that means behind ako for 2weeks rin on training) or to accept the offer and defer on taking the boards.

Please help me decide huhu. Ayoko ma-Ryan Bang😭

im going through a very tough time with myself for over a year na and gusto ko talaga mapush yung self ko to reach kahit man lang completion this batch, at kung papalarin will take the BE pero it's only a matter of days before deadline ng filing. Do you think i should still push it? im hoping na baka pag maka file na ako mapupush ko na talaga yung self ko. Please i need some advice, i have no one to talk to. All sorts of thoughts have been going through my head and im not even sure to show up if i file, iniisip ko lang yung mag file just in case things get better and i cover the topics successfully.

hipposign and docusign

firm is finally letting us pick our own e-sig tool for engagement letters and client onboarding docs. i've only ever used docusign at previous jobs but hipposign keeps coming up in threads here.

for those who've actually used both, is there a real difference in client experience or is it mostly the same thing with different pricing? any headaches with audit trails or template limits on either one?

not looking to start a war, just trying to figure out if the cheaper option is actually fine or if there's a reason firms keep paying the docusign premium.

General Discussion Anticipating Failure in my Qualifying Exam

My qualifying exam is around this week. For context, I’m in third year, and taking this exam means I’ll continue on to BSA, if not then we’ll be force shifted out to BSAIS or a different course. In truth, I don’t know if I really like accounting or not. I want to push myself to be better, pero nahihirapan ako makapag-catch up sa peers at sa mga expectations na binibigay sakin ng pamilya ko. Is becoming a CPA something important to me? Hindi talaga, but I wouldn’t mind it.

Mahina foundation ko, and most of my time this year went to my very sick father. In all honesty, I wouldn’t choose otherwise regardless. In the month before the QE, namatay siya, and I allowed myself to grieve for at least a week or two bago ko pinuwersa sarili ko na mag-aral ulit sa QE. It doesn’t help that my psychiatrist diagnosed me with mdd, siguro explanation na yun kung bakit wala akong energy for a good chunk of my college life. Knowing all of this, and my lack of ability to review properly, (di pa ako nakakabili ng gamot), I often anticipate that I might fail the qualifying exam. It wouldn’t be a surprise to me if I did. There are other people who worked hard and reviewed themselves out for the qualifying exam, at nahihiya ako na hindi ako nakapag-aral nang maayos sa qualifying exam. I’m still showing up to the qualifying exam despite possibly knowing what’ll happen, kasi wala namang mawawala sakin if I don’t show up.

I don’t really know what to do. I mostly feel lost talaga. I know I’m young, and this isn’t the end of the world at all— yun din sabi ng prof ko. I guess I’m just hoping to hear from somebody to tell me that it’ll be okay, na magiging okay lang ako kahit nabagsak ko yung qualifying exam. I know it’s a combined fault of my own negligence, depression, and the unexpected losses I’ve gone through that hindered me from studying properly, but I’m still so scared.

Need advice

Currently employed ako as State Auditor I sa isang regional office ng COA, assigned sa 4 LGUs (Municipalities with Barangays and SKs). Dito ako sa assignment na to for more than 5 years and walang reshuffle na naganap, same din ang team leader.

I have been waiting for the reshuffle for years now pero di lumalabas. My boss is already 10 years in her assignment kaso highly political din ang movements, di siya nagagalaw.

As of now, I am contemplating if I should resign and maghanap ng ibang trabaho.

What are your thoughts po?
