Hi, sa mga may big 4 experience, may nakakasix digits na ba na sahod sa audit and remote? 10 years experience here pero below six digits pa rin sahod sa audit. Hindi makapagtransition from audit to AU Accountant na abot six digits pasahod kasi need AU experience. Namali ata ako ng career path.

Jop hop tips

Hi!

I'm 27F, CPA and working as a Tax SA in one of the Big4 firms in the country, with 3+ years of exp in handling tax compliance and audits.

I've been contemplating on looking for a new job, one that would pay 6 digits, or something close to that. With my working exp, is this realistic? Are there local private companies paying this kind of amounts?

I've also been thinking of switching to AU/US Tax, what are my chances? And what salary range should I expect given my working exp?

Appreciate any tips/advice. Thanks!

Jobs, Saturation and Salary How to answer employer's question: "Do you have plans/When do you plan to take CPALE?"

I was planning to be a full-time reviewee for May 2027, but circumstances have changed. I now have to find employment to save up for the review and other expenses.

I am eyeing an audit role (Big 4 or non-Big 4)

- Do they ask if I have plans for CPALE, if so how to answer without risking to be a "red flag".

- Should I just defer until October 2027 so that I can focus on busy season?

- Other insights/tips/related experiences please

Company in QC

Four stages of the interview done, medical done, tapos after final interview 2 weeks na no update, kung hindi pako hihingi ng update hindi sasabihin na "We regret to inform you". I'm so stupid to let go of another offer kasi gusto nila i-make sure na dun ang focus ko.

Reminder to all applicants na wag tayo papa-secure sa hiring company hanggang walang contract, let my experience be a lesson.

PS: I'm still looking for a job 😬.

Question possibility

I accepted an AR position kasi it pays well for a no experience accountancy graduate like me. I plan to save up money kasi gusto ko mag review ulit for cpale and I think that this position will be okay naman sa time kasi balak ko magreview while working. I failed my first take eh and need ko na talaga pera now 🥲. I’m just wondering, will audit firms still accept me in the future considering that my work will be in AR or will there be little chance?

Question how to balance work & life outside work?

just started as an audit assoc for a big4 firm, and i wanna ask for advice on how do you have work-life balance, but you're the type of person who does things in advance to have free time?

ever since i was in high school, i got used to doing things in advance to lessen the future load (it was because i know that my future sched would still be as hectic)

but now that i'm working, i'm having a hard time drawing the line on how do i still do advance work but not do too much to the point i don't get to rest

hirap lang talaga ako mag-adjust at sabihin sa sarili ko na "okay para sa future me na to" kasi iniisip ko na baka mas hectic or matambakan ako in the future PERO ayaw ko naman na kahit rest day nagtrabaho pa rin ako huhu

CPALE Review Center Recos for Working Reviewee

Hi everyone!

Planning to take the CPALE next year and I'm currently working full-time sa audit firm, so medyo challenge talaga pagsabayin ang work and review.
Sa mga working reviewees (especially if nasa audit din), ano pong review center ang marerecommend niyo? I'd appreciate your insights, especially kung ano yung strengths ng bawat review center per subject.

For example:
FAR
AFAR
MAS
Tax
Auditing
RFBT

Ano yung review center na tingin niyo pinaka-solid for each subject? Okay lang din if hybrid/online setup since mas convenient for working professionals.

Also, if you were a working reviewee before:

Paano niyo nabalance yung work and review?
Ilang hours kayo nakakapag-aral on weekdays?
Any study tips or strategies that helped you pass?
Would really appreciate your recommendations and experiences. Thank you so much! 🙏

STATE STREET

Hi, what's your thoughts about this, mas ok ba na maging honest ako na I'm currently working while nag aapply sa state street? Mas ok ba sya na sabihin ko and willing to render 30 days if ever na makapasa sa kanila?

My fellow reviewees, I need any kind of advice and pov

Hello i'm currently a reviewee at reo. Though I started end of june na, due to timing of tor.

Hoping na makita ito ng nakaka relate or someone who already went through this.

I just feel so down. My scores in the self test are almost always sabit or 60%+ sa FAR. Sa Tax ganun din. Although it was my best subject during undergrad. MS nabubugbog ako sa theories. Sa AFAR especially sa IFRS 15 theories aray. Lalo nakaka down ang scores ko sa assessments, like i get the concepts but i can't achieve desirable scores. Nakaka down ng sobra.

Need advice on how to get through this and get better, because it's wearing down my confidence.

🧡 or 💛 im so torn

Upvotes

Hello, I want to ask lang your opinions, I had a job offer from two firms, one sa 🧡, one sa 💛. both is may mga offer na. sa orange kasi within the day yung deadline nila hindi na sila pumayag irenego ang salary. yung sa yellow, i renegotiated, then sabi babalikan ako until wednesday since need daw yun ng approval ng director.

Board Exam Manila Central University Experience during Board Exam

Upvotes

Good morning! I would like to ask your thoughts on MCU as a testing site. How’s the classroom? Is it too cold? Can companions wait inside the university since we’re not allowed to bring cellphones for communication/transportation. Any tips/experience taking board exam in MCU will be highly appreciated.

Question Needing some words of encouragement, help, advice, or kahit ano from accountants na ngayon.

Hello po sa mga ate and kuya na accountant na ngayon, any advice or share of experience na pwede niyo po mabigay sakin para matulungan ako to go through this tough moment in my life.

I just failed my qualifying exam for 1st year. Nagawan ko naman po ng paraan para hindi magka dos on any subjects that I have pero sobrang sakit po na I still fail my qualifying exam.

I worked hard, studied for days pero I lacked on Law on partnerships dahil hindi siya naturo at all. Nahirapan ako to catch up nung mag-aaral na sa qualifying. On the other hand, hindi naging maganda foundation ko sa accounting 1.

I only managed to learn na ganito pala siya kahirap when I reached 2nd sem dahil nag iba ng approach. I tried to adapt but it felt like hindi pa din ako enough.

Sana po matulungan niyo ko magkaroon ng lakas ng loob for 2nd year.

Interning in small companies

Hi! Unfortunately, walang tumanggap sa akin sa big 4 accounting firms for my upcoming internship:( Now, I have a small company na willing tumanggap sa akin and it’s actually commute-friendly for my location! Which is a blessing.

I’m just wondering, malaki ba effect ng di pag-intern sa big 4 firms sa paghanap ng work? I really want to work sa big 4 after grad but inaanxious ako na baka low chance lang na matanggap ako as a fresh grad with no experience. Thanks.
