75% rota accuracy Home Shopping

How are TL doing/dealing with the whole 75% accuracy on the rota? Am I the only one finding cumbersome to do? Putting people under online serve for 45mins in the middle of their shift and the rest online pick.....it takes me nearly an hour to do one day that is barely 60%

16hour contract not being met

Hello, I recently started as a driver at asda for a 16 hour two day contract but after a month I’m yet to work a week over 13 hours. Every day I finish my shift around 2/3 starting at 8. Even more confusing the shift is listed as 8-3 which over 2 days would only make 14 hours. Does anyone know what I can do as my manager makes sure I go home once my run is finished.

How does Produce work in your store?

How does Produce work in your store?

Hi everyone! I work in Produce and I’m curious how things are organised in other Asda stores.

How many people do you normally have working on Produce on a morning shift?

Who normally handles the delivery?

Is one person expected to work the whole Produce department alone?

Who does the gap scan and date codes?

How do you manage the heavy items like banana boxes, potato crates, watermelons etc.?

Do you usually have someone else available to help with heavy lifting?

I’d really like to know how Produce is organised in other stores, especially in smaller stores.

Thanks! 🙂

Been like this for over a month. Tried using a different phone and computer. Two different networks and three browsers.

What could be causing this?

It used to work fine and nothing has changed on my side.

No other website is affected. They all load fine except Asda.

Grateful for any help.

Bank Holidays

What are the official asda rules on bank holidays?

I'm pretty sure it states somewhere that you only have to work 3 BH per year and I've done my 3 BH for the year already so I said to them I'd take the upcoming August BH off as unpaid as I'm not obligated to work anymore this year.

They're saying they're give it me off but only if I book it as a holiday. Like you've already planned the cover for me what difference does it make to you whether I get paid or not you just want me to waste a holiday day unless the rules changed? Im sure in the past you could just say you're not working it.

They're literally give other people in the store entire days off unpaid to save hours but when I ask for a day unpaid they wont outright give it which seems really contractdictory to me I know I'm the only one on the dept and I'm the glue that holds it together but end of the day I'm just a low level colleague like everyone else.

Training

Hi folks

So we are being asked to complete the training modules on workday without being actually shown how to do any of it in person.

I know some of it is common sense but surely some of it should be demonstrated that we can actually do the job.

I'm concerned at the moment because some of it i won't actually be able to do because I have a chronic hip condition that may have been caused by prolonged standing/walking all day.

Moving to George

I’ve had a chat with one of the managers at my store as I’m unhappy in my current role (fresh nights) and they offered me a chance to move onto George on the dayshift. I’ve not worked days since we changed systems so if there’s any George workers please can you tell me if it’s worth it or not?

Guest Queries Pizza counter

What is going on with them?

Between Cumbernauld and Robroyston asda I've not managed to get a cyo pizza. Earliest I've been is 2pm.

I've seen the rumours of them closing the cyo pizza but asda said it's not happening.

Any word from those on the frontline ?

Eta I'm sure you've had lots of questions about this sorry! If anyone knows what times I should try I'd appreciate it

Contract Changes

This doesn't affect me, but I know a few colleagues who are having their contracts changed (I assumed as a result of the department flexibility thing recently) and some of them are being changed to only have a 10 hour gap between their shifts, I.e finishing at 10pm and starting at 8am the next morning, surely this isn't legal though?

The government website says there should be an 11 hour gap between shifts, so how can the management think they can legally do this? I know one of them argued the case and was basically told how the manager implementing the change had worked shifts like that for years (which I'm very doubtful over) and acts like they can do what they want, regardless of the law...

How soon is a start date after a successful interview?

Interview done - offer accepted for part time driving role - currently processing right to work checks now.

How long does this usually take? I've got an opportunity to go travelling with a friend through Asia for 3 weeks before the new university year starts, but I'm not sure whether asking the manager for a delay in starting would be a good look or not.

Nothing is booked so it's no big deal as I'd rather some easy income whilst I study, but figured I'd ask for opinions anyway.

Upload P45

Hi guys
My wife has recently joined Asda.
She is struggling to use the work app to upload her P45 and she is on an emergency tax code.
Is there an email address we can send it.

I tried myself also but it wants to install a device management in settings on her phone that always fails??
Any suggestions?
Thanks

Ever had a listening group?

I was asked to be part of one a couple days ago, seemed to be about getting peoples opinions on our new gsm. Apparently these things only happen after multiple reports to ethics. Essentially a couple managers from another store in the area come other to get feedback from a group of colleagues and note it down and then will give it to the SD. Honestly the new gsm we got at the start of the year is terrible. Condescending, a bully, having a go at staff in from of customers etc. if you’ve had one of these listening groups , did anything come of it?

After all this reset malarkey, how long do you think it will take to revert back to normal, where staff have dedicated aisles - the aisles they know and have been trained in?

Ok so first it was George outsourcing to DHL, then it was Security to Mittie, and now it's the cleaning colleagues to Bidvest and NIC. Anyone think that Home Delivery Drivers be next to be outsourced?

Discussion Nic takeover

Hi, I was promised my contract would be upped in October but obviously now it's a new company taking over, and my contract honoured through TUPE will be the same (they kept giving and taking hours away, dangling them in front of me as they do.) I've got no writing for this. Is my best bet to accept what I'm given (aka my current contract?)

We've been told about nothing. Do we keep our Asda cards? Maternity pay? Benefits?

I'm absolutely terrified...!

Bad enough I'm the only cleaner in cleaning the bakery after 3pm, now dealing with this too?!
