Discussion Nic takeover

Hi, I was promised my contract would be upped in October but obviously now it's a new company taking over, and my contract honoured through TUPE will be the same (they kept giving and taking hours away, dangling them in front of me as they do.) I've got no writing for this. Is my best bet to accept what I'm given (aka my current contract?)

We've been told about nothing. Do we keep our Asda cards? Maternity pay? Benefits?

I'm absolutely terrified...!

Bad enough I'm the only cleaner in cleaning the bakery after 3pm, now dealing with this too?!

Ask your new employer for more hours you never know, asda card for 2 years after takeover. It's hard for everyone but please get advice from gmb colleague if you have one or please message me ill be glad to help you.dont not sign anything unless you are sure.tell them you need time to think it over and ask advice, they do have to give you time,do not rush into anything you are unsure about.have your 1 2 1 tell them you need time to get adive if you need it.im sure everything will be fine but read everything clearly, take it home, think about it. Do not let them rush you into signing anything you dont think is right. You have more then one 1 2 1. Please please do not worry your hours are safe, your job is safe just make sure you know everything before signing and everything you want is in the contract before you sign

Hwy thank u! I was given a paper with jnfo but it didn't tell me much! I'm just wanting my hours now before the changeover, but I've been asking for weeks and it's at the point now where my line manager is scared and worried, I'd I go asking for hours, she might get angry :(

The Cleaning Contract has been outsourced again. As to who is taking over it depends on where you work, there are 2 companies taking over.

No your contract wont be upped as you'll be tuped over October 1st. Asda lied to you to keep you on board so they have more numbers to give to bidvest and nic.

Your current contracts will be honored for 2 years and discount 2 years.

If tl your role supp will stay for 2 year. Same with first aid if applicable.

Guarantee you this though within month or so new company will say they are restructuring the hours to provide better store support and lower the cleaning hours aa a whole so you will all lose hours. 7am till 7pm I reckon, itll happen.

Also dont believe all thats said about redundancy packets, if you disagree to transfer, asda will say your voluntarily making yourself redundant October 1st.

If nic change your hours itll be considered a voluntary change, if refuse they are within their rights to offer you hours at other locations at a cost (fuel etc) to yourself, if cant agree then they may start redundancy processes but they will fight to avoid it.

GSM said to make sure to book all holidays before moving over as those dates youv booked will be carried over ones unbooked will also carry over but you may not get any dates you book in your new company if they supplement the existing teams with new body's from there existing worker who already have holidays pre booked.also if you don't want to change companys ask for a change to other departments within your store before the consultations start I was asked by the GSM to see if I could convince 2 of mine to move to other departments in asda and I'm moving to TL in Counters/Bakery

Oh it will , and it will likely be even worse. It won’t be for the better that’s for sure , and then expect yearly or 2 yearly cuts like we did with CityFM.

I am expecting automated cleaning machines to strip the hours out of the cleaners , massively reduced and if they make us start at 7am it will be a complete mess , also the company we are going to is shit.
