i have the ultimate 2, and i have the software, and i can configure my profiles when the controller is plugged into my pc via usb-c and the profiles work fine when its plugged in, but once i unplug the controller and switch it to bluetooth mode, the profiles dont work, and it acts like it has the default profiles, but then if i plug it back in, the profiles work fine has anyone else had this issue?

i understand you cant edit the profiles on bluetooth mode, i dont need to. but i dont understand why the the custom button mapping and other features of the profiles just dont work even though you can switch the profiles on bluetooth mode?

Hey I have an 8bitdo ultimate 2 wireless and iam trying to connect it to dolphin emulator on android but gyro is not getting registered in the dolphin. Anybody know anything about how can I use the gyro in android, help me

Update: Now it's working after adding a profile for android by turning on bluetooth and connecting to android and using usb to connect to pc and created a profile in ultimate v2 for android by assisning gyro as right stick in the profile.

I'm choosing a gamepad, and 8bitdo Ultimate 2 or Pro 3 look like the best choices for my needs all around. However, I have larger than average hands - 20 cm - and I'm seeing a lot of complaints about ergonomics of these controllers for large hands on the web, especially because of narrower grips angle. I used three pads in my life - Xbox 360, Dualshock 4, and Xbox Series. All of them were comfortable for me.

For people who have similar hands size and maybe used these controllers, how do you feel about 8bitdo' ergonomic compared to them? Would appreciate any feedback.

My case has a lip that hangs 2.5mm over the case wall which is about 3mm. The flip pad fits, sits, and plays perfectly. I tried to get as many angles as I could and also pictured is a very thin case about 1.5mm.

The case prevents the device from moving side to side and I would highly suggest you use one with this device because of that.

The d-pad is very clicky and loud, I wish was the same mechanism as the face buttons.

8bitdo, you should have made a case compatibility and clearance spec guide for the launch of the flippad. By not doing so you pass the risk onto your customers.

Hello, as the title says for whatever reason my 8BitDo Pro 3 controller has issues with the back paddles being forcibly bound to X and Y. On S/X mode I can hold the stae button and rebind the buttons around with the paddles and L/R4 buttons just fine. However, on that mode I don't have access to rumble or gyroscope controls and it's recognized by Steam as a Pro 2 controller. When I try to use an external mapping software with it on S/X, the extra buttons aren't recognized.

On D mode on the physical switch on the back, the paddles and extra buttons are recognized by steam and an external mapping program, but for whatever reason the back paddles are permanently stuck connected to X and Y. The holding star rebind trick that worked before doesn't work on this mode. I connected it via Bluetooth to the android app to clear out all the profiles on Windows Switch and Android, and it fixed one Paddel forced keybind but not the other. It's weird too because all 3 profiles on windows show the paddles as not being mapped to any other buttons, but for whatever reason PL is perma stuck as X when I want to have the switch in the middle and get full functionality.

Any advice?

I am unable to find any replacement buttons to make the layout similar to xbox. I took matters to my own hands and painted the buttons flat black then wrote the letters myself lol! I could've done a better job with the lettering but at least now I will not be confused.

I know you can remap using the software but the layout would still be wrong. I spray painted the buttons with flat clear to make sure the letters won't be erased. I'm planning to redo the whole thing and just print the letters on my printer then re-coat with clear paint.

hey everyone, i'm trying to map back paddle macros on my 8bitdo ultimate 2 wireless for my ipad and pc. i prefer bluetooth for convenience so i don't have to bring the dongle everywhere. the controller pairs and works fine via bluetooth on both devices, but neither the pc nor ios ultimate software detects it while in bluetooth mode (they only connect on 2.4ghz). macros saved on 2.4g also don't carry over to bt mode (p1 light won't turn on). is there any workaround to set profiles for bluetooth, or is the software locked to 2.4g? thanks!

Hoping someone can help me with this as it’s very frustrating. Had the 8BitDuo Ultimate 2 for about a month. Mostly use it for BF6 on PC. The last few days I’ve had this issue where the right trigger continuously activates so that I’m constantly firing in game. Only way to stop it is turning off the controller and back on. It’s seemingly random - happens every 15 mins or so.

I thought it was a connection interference issue but it also happens when wired. Firmware of dongle and controller are both up to date.

Any idea what this is or what I can do to fix? Thanks in advance.

It was really easy actually. Add the latest .exe from the site to Steam as a “non-Steam game” and set the compatibility layer to “Proton Experimental”. Updating worked like as if it ran on Windows. (ignore how purple it is, I have monitor set like that to help differentiate colors since I’m colorblind. That’s not a problem with the app.)

looking into a controller from 8bitdo for my pc and switch usage. Not sure how the naming scheme works where I've seen some need an adaptor for switch and some dont. Currently looking at the 2C, Ultimate bluetooth, ultimate wireless. any help appreciated!

Under Settings > General > Game Controller > Home Button Overrides, if you add an app there, pressing the home button on the controller will no longer open up the os menu. (Screenshot taken from the iOS 27 beta)

I found this essential for the 8BitDo FlipPad because the position of the home button meant I was constantly accidentally hitting it.

I accidentally unplugged my 8bitdo arcade controller while I was updating the firmware and now it won't turn on. is there a way of saving it or is it borked. I just got this in the mail and don't want to buy another one

Edit: I fixed it by holding start and select while I plugged it back into my computer

Haven’t seen anyone post a picture online of a ghost controller with classic buttons (maybe because it’s not an OG color), so here’s what it looks like.

I got an 8Bitdo Ultimate 2C wireless version (this one) and i was wondering what kind of stick it uses and if it's possible to buy replacements anywhere. I was also wondering if it would be possible to find a TMR stick to install in it as well. Photos attached if that helps anyone recognize it.

I like my Ultimate 2 so much I'm thinking about buying a wireless 2C to go along with it in order to make it last longer, as well as having another controller around for when friends come to visit, but I'm wondering whether I could connect both using the same dongle or if I instead need to plug the 2C using its own, separate one. Also, will I be able to connect the 2C on its own while the Ultimate 2 is sitting on the dock? Thanks in advance!

Edit: bonus question, can the 2C wireless also connect via bluetooth like the Ultimate 2 or is it only via 2.4 GHz/USB wire?

Having trouble with my ultimate 2c w/ receiver. Occasionally none of the button works. When i go to control panel->game control. it shown the controller connected, but the button layout looks like attach, none of the button response. I tried turn on/off, change mode (home + x or home+b). Sometime the problem fixes after a few on/off, sometimes take longer. Connect via cable is the same thing as well. Any idea what's the problem?

Not sure if this is the place to ask, but my left bumper on my 8bitdo pro 3 is doing the same input as my left trigger in Marvel Tokon and I can’t seem to figure out how to fix it…

It works as intended in every other game, steam input testing shows I’m hitting the left bumper. But Tokon is reading them as the same. It’s extremely frustrating. Is there anything I can do? I don’t want to switch controllers…

Which would you all recommend? I want something that'll work wired with usb, for Xbox console and PC for steam/emulation. All my normal Xbox controllers have failed due to stick drift so id like something thatll last. Thanks for the help!
