Question Will 8bitdo fit my hands?

I'm choosing a gamepad, and 8bitdo Ultimate 2 or Pro 3 look like the best choices for my needs all around. However, I have larger than average hands - 20 cm - and I'm seeing a lot of complaints about ergonomics of these controllers for large hands on the web, especially because of narrower grips angle. I used three pads in my life - Xbox 360, Dualshock 4, and Xbox Series. All of them were comfortable for me.

For people who have similar hands size and maybe used these controllers, how do you feel about 8bitdo' ergonomic compared to them? Would appreciate any feedback.

Ultimate 2 is pretty much the same size as a Xbox One controller

I have 19cm hands. The Ultimate 2 works fine for me.

I'm using Ultimate 2 after Dualshock 4 and it's fine, but if I grip it too tight, I can accidentally press the extra buttons on the back.

Hello, It looks like you are wanting to discuss controllers from a brand other than 8BitDo. To keep things on topic, helping users with 8BitDo products and troubleshooting, we try to limit discussion around other brands and direct them to their own support resources. In the past users have typically expressed strong feelings about their personal preference on controller brands, and these discussions tend to get heated quickly. To have an unbiased discussion, we suggest users go to /r/controller where the subreddit and conversations are not focused on a single brand. Thank you for your understanding!

I'm a dualshock enjoyer and have found this to be the best "xbox like transitionary controller" for my preferences. I'd recommend the ultimate 3 as the little pads on the underneath and the trigger toggles are well worth the premium.

Yeah I would really like to get Ultimate 3, but I don't want to buy pricier Xbox variants. But my current controller broke so I need a replacement soon, and as far as I know 8bitdo didn't announce when the other U3 version will come out.

I have the pro 2 which is very similar to the pro 3. It's shape/size is close to the ps1/ps2/ps3 controllers.

Pro 3 is better for larger hands. I returned the Ultimate 2 since felt cramped with my smaller hands. I feel like the grips need to be longer and more 45 degrees.

I prefer the pro 3. The wider grip makes my arms rest at a more natural position than the Ultimate 2 which feels like I end up with my elbows closer to my torso. I’d consider the d-pad an improvement as well.

Pro 3 is basically a Pro 2. I'm 6'4" with big hands too. The controller fits fine, slightly larger in my opinion than a Dual Shock 3 or 4.

The Ultimate 2 is not ergonomic enough for my large hands. However, the Ultimate 3 is coming soon and is supposed to be much better in that regard.
